My father has been at Providence Court since December 2021 and is very happy there. He is extremely well looked after and enjoys the company of the other "guests" and staff members. I would recommend Providence Court to anything thinking of going there.

We, as a family, are very happy with the care our mum receives. She is happy when we visit, which is two-three times a week. Staff are very nice. Mum's room is clean and tidy and pleasant to be in. It is a lovely home, inside and the grounds outside are lovely. Facilities are good, with hairdressers and Mum has her nails done! She's happy with her meals and the dinner smells lovely if I visit in the afternoon! Our mum is content and that's good.

Our mother has been in Quantum Care Ltd for three years first at another setting then at Providence Court.
The care and friendliness of the staff has helped us during this sad period.

Our father joined our mum there for end of life care, the manager and staff were a tremendous help even through Covid rules and gave us all compassion, love and care to help us. It has been like our extended family.

The first week was difficult because of shielding but they found me a TV. I didn't understand why I should be just in one room. The second week was better being able to be out. Staff were friendly and supportive.

Reply from Deborah Yadev, Marketing Manager at Providence Court

Good day, and thank you for taking the time to send us a review. Apologies that the first week of your stay was not as comfortable as it should have been. We have been following the Government guide for care homes and it has been more difficult on some residents than others. There is hope that the worse of the pandemic is over and we can resume to a level of normalcy.

My mother has now been in Providence Court for some five months. She is 98 years old and was in poor health following a lengthy hospital stay last summer. Although there seems to be nothing anyone can do to restore her mobility, her general health and comfort have improved greatly since she moved in and she seems content to stay there. Staff have been supportive and communicative despite the extra workload due to Covid and have put themselves out to help her (and us). Lots of appropriate activities organised too.

Reply from Blessing Gurure, Home Manager at Providence Court

Thank you Jo. It has been such a good journey, right from when mum was admitted to us from hospital, as you pointed out, together with the progress she has also made during the past few months. My father had a two-week respite stay at Providence Court in September. I was contacted beforehand and the safety measures in place here explained and information about my father - medication, interests, etc - requested. Staff very welcoming when we arrived and polite and friendly in all our dealings with them. Unable to visit due to Covid, but the staff gave phone feedback and reported that my father was well and happy.

During Covid-19 lockdown, we had been unable to see my mother for a long time apart from one time through the window of her room. When we were told that face to face visits were now being allowed in the garden with appropriate social distancing we were delighted. Our first such visit was handled very well and it was lovely to see Mum in person again after recovering from Coronavirus. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

From the moment I walked into the home and was greeted by the reception team, I knew this was the home for Mum.
Everything about the home had a wonderful warmth to it. The staff are so caring, listening to the residents and their families; they all go above and beyond to make sure 100% care is given.
The food and activities are amazing, can't thank the staff enough.

I have watched Mum blossom in both her physical health and well being. Thank you.

My 92-year-old mother moved into Providence Court in early March, just before lockdown. In the few weeks before lockdown, I could see that we had chosen the right place for her. The environment is so friendly and caring, as are all the staff. My mother was very confused in those early weeks and didn’t settle well, but the staff were very patient and took time to help her get used to her new home. During the lockdown, they made sure I was fully updated on mums well being and the current situation in the home. Staff have always had time for family, and have been very patient with us during what must have been a very difficult time for them all. I am especially gratefully for the photos they post on Facebook of the activities they do with the residents.

Since my mum moved in, I have not had one single concern regarding her care, and I look forward to being able to spend time at Providence Court with my mum again as soon as possible.

My mum was a resident for approximately 17 months. She had dementia and heart failure. She was looked after fabulously by staff. There were activities for her to join in with. There were outings and she was taken sometimes in her wheelchair for a coffee to the coffee bar. The carers had kindness, compassion and love for the residents. There were no rules for her to ‘go to bed’. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff or management. It was kept immaculately clean by housekeeping. Food was varied and enough, there were entertainment evenings, family bbq in the summer, mother's day meals etc and daily activities. I was always reassured if needed and any problems were dealt with quickly. The staff at Providence Court became mum’s and my extended family. Management’s door was always open for a friendly chat. I recommend Providence Court unreservedly. I am so grateful that the last 17 months of my mum’s life were enhanced as much as they could be by these wonderful people.

My fathers stay at Providence Court, which is just over a year - was excellent overall. What really makes it, is the staff. They really work hard and are on it. They are such a happy bunch of people, real joy to go in and visit my dad who doesn't speak, so to be able to get updates about him from staff super friendly, caring staff makes all the difference. I have had a really good laugh with them at times but most importantly they accommodate the residents and family needs and have gone over and above to do this. Their care is second to none, especially towards the end when my father had his condition, they couldn't have done more and still ring me to find out how he's doing. This really is not just a Care Home, but for me, it was like being home from home. My family is extremely grateful to all of them and very upset that my father will no longer reside there - I would highly recommend this residence to anyone, it has that extra something that is assuring and the grounds are wonderful too.

My mother has been a resident for six years and over the last few months her needs have changed, the staff have adapted well to meeting them. She is treated with dignity and respect. Specialist equipment is used to assist with her movement and handling. I frequently visit and am always made to feel welcome. There is good communication regarding her care. The home is bright and clean. The food is good and freshly prepared on-site with dietary needs catered for. Outside there is a nice enclosed garden area. The home is currently led by a good team with whom I have great confidence.
