My mother came to Queensway House for rehab after a 7 week's stay at the hospital. She was initially very negative that she was being sent out of the area and not where she wanted to be. However, the staff were excellent with her and made her feel less anxious and supported and treated her with kindness
and compassion. She always said the staff were very kind and spent time with her to make her feel more at home. The admin staff, housekeeper and nurses kept us informed of her progress, overall we had a very positive experience.

I am left with no option but to give a review of the lack of concern about this care home.
I have again spoken today to an office staff member who has told me that the missing quilted blanket has been "mislaid" and refused to accept the notion that it might have been stolen. This blanket was quilted
by mother-in-law and gifted as a dying wish to my wife, but has somehow "disappeared". The cost is of no matter, the point is that my wife is now lacking her mother's dying wish.
Please allow your family to be cared for by this facility at your own cost.

I have had a very positive experience with both the business manager and the admin staff. Both ladies have been extremely kind, friendly and helpful, both before my brother-in-law's admission to the care home and ever since. They have both been patient and supportive at all times, especially, initially
when there were many delays and complications regarding my brother-in-law's transfer to Queensway House.

My mother has been a resident for approximately 4.5 years. She is always looked after and I have no complaints because every time I see her she looks well presented and happy. The only thing I would like is for her to have a Complan style drink in the afternoons. Thank you all very much.

Very caring staff - treat my father with the utmost consideration of his need. Management very approachable - always willing to work with us over any issues in settling my father into care. Extremely kind to my mother, who naturally needs support in coping with the change to her lifestyle.

Mum has only been here for two weeks and she has settled in very well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Early days, as Mum is reclusive and takes time to trust! The food is fresh and Mum eats well. There is a good feeling about the building, such as ambience and peace!

My Aunt stayed at Queensway house for just under a week for respite care, whilst her husband was in the hospital. The staff there were amazing and very helpful and arranged a video call for my aunt with myself and my uncle which went down well as he was reassured she was being looked after very well.
My aunt suffers from quite severe dementia, but she was treated with such dignity by the staff from the photos and videos I saw she was always smiling and looked really happy, the place itself looked spotless and really nice warm atmosphere. I want to single out the care home administrator and the person I dealt with admitting my Aunt, she couldn't have been more helpful and made the whole process very easy and smooth. My aunt received top-quality care whilst at Queensway much better than other homes I used before, so I would not hesitate to use Queensway in the future if I need to. My aunt looked immaculate with her hair always done really smart. Thank you so much.

My dad was in care with Queensway House for about 2 years and during that time he would always say positive things about the care he received. I always found the staff to be professional and considerate in everything they do. I would have no hesitation in recommending Queensway House to anyone in need

I have been impressed with the way that the home has dealt with my mother, particularly in view of the Covid19 virus. It is a very difficult time for all, but the staff have been very helpful and understanding in all matters.

Charlotte has been a part of the Gold Care family for a long time, working in some of our sister homes before taking a short break. She has returned to us recently as Home Manager at Queensway House and we're thrilled to have her back!
