Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Over the past 4 years the staff at Wilton House provided great support for our sister who was in the home for dementia care. She was very well looked after by all the staff right from the beginning.. The GP visits the home regularly and if there are any changes or issues any medication which is required
is provided promptly. The staff are like a big family all getting on with each other. They are cheerful and you are made very welcome when you visit your relative. The home was always kept clean and the level of care is excellent. There is excellent communication from the Home via emails or telephone calls. The food was good and varied and well presented. The Entertainment staff work well to keep the Residents happy. Visiting was easy with no restrictions. We were able to take our sister out when we wanted. The Staff making a wheelchair available for us. I would have no hesitation in recommending Wilton House to anyone

My partner went to Wilton Lodge for dementia care as she was getting too difficult for me and her daughters to cope with at home. She took a little while to settle in and the staff did everything possible to help with this.
She has always been taken care of very well, the staff are very helpful and
always friendly, and I am not aware of any restriction on visiting times. We are grateful for the excellent care provided at Wilton Lodge. The GP appointments are organised well and the food is very good.
Entertainment and games and the occasional outing are also part of the excellent service provided.
Wilton Lodge is in pleasant surroundings and has an extensive and lovely garden which is a big asset in good weather!

Over the last 3 years, the team at Wilton Lodge have provided great support to our mum, providing entertainment to keep the residents occupied and adjusting the care as mum's needs have changed. GP appointments are arranged as needed and support is given for hospital visits. All the staff seem cheerful
and handle the residents with care and nothing seems to be too much bother.

Wilton Lodge is a wonderful home, the staff are like a big family.
My mum is cared for so well, myself and other family members visit a lot, so see the home on different days and at different times and the level of care never changes.
When I am not there they keep me updated with anything that happens
with Mum. Communication is excellent.
Would highly recommend Wilton Lodge.

I cannot express the appreciation I have for the staff of Wilton Lodge.
My late father was a resident for 18 months, and the care he received during that time was exemplary. The home is very clean, and the staff are professional and dedicated to their residents. So much so that my mother (now that
she is unable to live on her own) requested that she be placed in the home and is now a resident. The manager is very passionate about the home, and this is reflected in how the home is run.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Wilton Lodge to anyone looking to place a loved one into care.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.639)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.639) out of 10 for Wilton Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.972 for Wilton Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (35 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.972
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.667 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wilton Lodge is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 registered maximum number of service users is 7.2. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.2 = 0.417
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
