Mayfair Lodge has a Review Score of 9.5 (9.538) out of 10, based on 22 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Mayfair Lodge has 63 reviews.
My sister Jennifer Adrian seems to be very content, relaxed and happy. She loves all the staff, and has no issues with anyone. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that Jennifer is happy, relaxed and content, and that she has such positive relationships with our team. Your lovely feedback means a great deal, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Thank you.
My family have been impressed by how quickly and well our brother has settled into life at Mayfair Lodge. Much of this, if not all, is due to the caring and friendly staff. The only negative observation is that my brother has lost a lot of mobility since living at ML. The reason I believe is that life is so comfortable that he no longer needs to walk to the shops, etc, as he did when living independently.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're so pleased to hear that your brother has settled into life at Mayfair Lodge and that our caring and friendly team has helped him feel so welcome. Thank you also for your feedback regarding his mobility. Supporting people to remain as...
There is a wonderful atmosphere in the care home with all of the staff appearing to be happy in their work. The office staff, in particular, were very helpful and caring. My father was extremely happy there, and his mental state improved enormously. So much so that he was able to return to his house.
Thank you for your kind review. It's so wonderful to hear that your father was happy at the home and able to return to his own. We're so please that you were both happy with the care and the staff in the home.
My mother became a resident of Mayfair Lodge a couple of months ago due to Alzheimers and my Father who is 93 and in failing health himself could no longer give Mum the care and attension that she requires. Choosing a Care home for a loved one is a difficult and stressful business, especially when trying to ensure the right environment, level of care and compassion by staff. We were so fortunate that after visiting a number of Care Home facilities in Hertfordshire Mayfair Lodge our number one choice had a place for Mum. Everyone from Front Reception staff to Care and Support workers are welcoming to guests and residents alike. My wife and I have got to know the staff over the past few weeks and we can see how hard they work to ensure a high standard of care for the residents.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how difficult it can be to choose the right care for a loved one, and we're so pleased you felt confident in selecting Mayfair Lodge. It's wonderful to hear that our team has been welcoming and that you've seen the care and dedication they provide every day. Your kind words mean a great deal so thank you so much again.
From the very beginning, our mother has felt very comfortable and safe at Mayfair Lodge. The staff here are so lovely and have helped Mum settle in. It can be a stressful time for families but the staff here have supported us too, and are always here to answer our questions - communication is very good. Our mum is fully engaging with all the activities and we always feel welcome and love joining her!
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your mother has felt comfortable and safe with us from the very beginning, and that our team has helped her settle in so well. We understand that moving into care can be a stressful time for families, so it means a great deal...
Our dad is well looked after and cared for by the kind staff at Mayfair Lodge. The staff are always helpful and can give an update on how dad has been.
Thank you for your kind review of Mayfair Lodge. We're so pleased that you are happy with the care that your father is receiving at the home. Your review will mean a great deal to the staff.
My mother has been a resident at Mayfair Lodge for just over a year. She is treated with lots of care, love and respect. The staff are excellent and always willing to help. Whenever a resident becomes upset or unwell, they are always on hand to make things better. Food and facilities are excellent. Would highly recommend.
Thank you for your kind review of Mayfair Lodge and for recommending our home. We're so pleased that you're happy with the care that your mother is receiving. Your review will mean a great deal to the staff in the home.
From the moment my sister and I arrived at Mayfair Lodge, in crisis because Dad had fallen and could no longer care for our wonderful mum, we all felt overwhelming care and support from this wonderful place. Mum is thriving, and we know she is well cared for. Mum and dad seem to feature often on their social media page when he visits mum, and they show that true love lasts forever! Thank you all at Mayfair Lodge, as we navigate this next phase for mum and dad.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're so glad that during such a difficult time for your family you felt supported and cared for by the team. It's wonderful to hear that your mum is thriving with us, and we're pleased you enjoy seeing those special moments shared on our social media. They...
My mother has been here for a year now. I can only praise all the staff for their kindness and care for all their residents. I am always greeted with a friendly hello. The activities are all fun, and my mum is thriving here. I have only admiration for all the staff.

I know our friend Eddy is safe and well looked after; his room is always clean and tidy. All staff, from the office staff, carers, and cleaners, are always friendly and courteous. Always get a warm welcome with a cup of tea and an update on Eddy. Eddy is very happy here. If he is not well, they inform us and explain his health. The variety of food and presentation is excellent. I wouldn't mind one of their Sunday Roasts. Thank you for the care of my friend.
Thank you for your lovely review. Were so pleased to hear that Eddy is happy at Mayfair Lodge and that you always feel welcomed when you visit. It means a lot to know that our whole team, from carers to housekeeping and office staff, are making a positive difference. Were glad you appreciate the...
My mother has been a resident at Mayfair Lodge for about 3 years. She has advanced dementia and can be quite difficult at times. The staff are so good with her despite her shouting etc and she is looked after very well. This gives me peace of mind as I know she is well cared for and safe. The staff work hard, and although my mum refuses most of the time to participate in activities, there are lots of things for residents to do.
Thank you for taking the time to share your kind feedback. It means a great deal to us to hear about your experience over the past three years and that our team has been able to support your mother with patience, compassion and understanding. Our staff work very hard to ensure every resident feels...
We have been so pleased with Mayfair Lodge since my mother entered in 2023. The staff are fantastic and my mum is so happy here. My mother-in-law came into the home in November 2024 and we are equally happy with how she is being looked after. We think Mayfair Lodge is a special place.
Thank you for you kind review. We're so pleased that you and your mother are so happy with the care that she is receiving at Mayfair Lodge. Your review means a great deal to the staff in the home.
The car park and garden areas are really clean and well looked after. As soon as you enter the care home, it oozes friendliness, warmth and a lovely welcome. Rooms are clean, tidy and smell fresh. All staff, from every department, are so helpful, friendly and smiley. All residents appear nicely dressed and clean, plus happy with the many activities offered. The food always smells wonderful, too.
Thank you for your kind review. We're delighted to hear that you're having such a positive experience of our home and our staff. Your feedback means a great deal to us and to our team, who work hard to make the home a welcoming place for everyone.
Overall I was impressed how the staff treated the vulnerable residents, they were kind and caring. The rooms were first class and the food was superb. I enjoyed my stay there very much.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Mayfair Lodge. We're very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at the home and thank you for your kind words about how the staff cared for the home's residents.
Entertainment is mostly excellent.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback! We're delighted to hear you're happy with our care team and that you're enjoying the entertainment - we always aim to keep things engaging and fun. We also appreciate your comments on the food and will make sure your comments about non-tomato based food are passed on to our kitchen team.
Unfortunately there were many issues that we were not happy about during the 6 months that my lovely Mum was at Mayfair Lodge including wrongly isolating her, theft of possessions & rudeness of staff. We had to take the upsetting decision to move her to a different home but unfortunately she didn't make it as she passed away following 6 weeks in hospital. There were a few members of staff that were great but unfortunately not enough.
We are very sorry to hear about your experience and deeply saddened by the loss of your mother. We understand how difficult this must have been for you and your family. At Mayfair Lodge, we strive to provide the highest standard of care, and we take concerns very seriously. We understand that your...
I have been visiting my friend on a fairly regular basis for over a year. The home is clean and quiet but other than that I do not understand all the very positive reviews. Never once have I been greeted by the staff or asked if I need help but have been allowed to wander wherever I wish and there seems to be a lack of security generally. My friend has said that some of the carers are very caring and efficient but certainly not all of them, some of them not even capable of the basic care needs like helping with a shower. She has never been offered a hot drink throughout any of my visits at various times of the day although I expect she could go and seek one out. She is also really not impressed with the food. But the biggest worry is that there seems to be very little stimulation given to the residents either in their rooms or in the lounge. They are bored.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. It is incredibly valuable as it helps us identify ways to enhance the service we provide to our residents and their families. At Mayfair Lodge, we are committed to delivering a high standard of service and can only apologise if your experience has fallen short...
Most of the carers are very considerate and have her interests at heart.
If at any time I feel something extra needs to be done for Mum, I raise it and is usually always dealt with.
The management are very involved with the residences and seem to know them all as individuals.
The carers have a very challenging job as each resident has individual needs and they can't be with them 24/7. However, any concerns that I have raised have always been dealt with promptly.
I'm really pleased I was able to get her into a local care home and she certainly seems to be safe and cared for, which is a great relief for the family.
Thank you so much for leaving a review for our home. We are delighted that you are very pleased with the care given to your Mother. Our teams work really hard to ensure that residents receive care that is tailored to them and which places each person at the heart of all they do. We will be sure to...
As a resident at Mayfair Lodge, my father is looked after in superb fashion by all the staff. They are absolute superstars! Kind, generous and gifted in caring for all the residents with the most awful of mental conditions. The residents are treated with dignity and are kept busy with activities and events. I'm very happy that my father feels comfortably at home there and thankful to all the staff for making his days as good as possible. Many thanks.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so pleased that you fell that your Father is so well looked after and that you feel the team are superstars! We will share this review with the team so they know how much their care and support is appreciated. Many thanks once again.
As for the activities and entertainment, you for so much the enjoyment of the residents.
Our family can't thank you enough for looking after two of our dear family members. Thank you.
Thank you so much for you review. We are privileged to be able to care for two members of your family and are delighted that you are pleased with the care that your Mother and your Aunt receive. We will make sure that we thank the carer team on your behalf, as well as the housekeeping team for...

Jackie has worked in the care sector since 1995. She joined Quantum Care in 1998 as a care worker at Vesta Lodge in St. Albans, Hertfordshire. Jackie then progressed to Care Team Manager and then became Deputy Home Manager.
She did her secondment as a Home Manager for 8 months at Vesta Lodge and then became a Home Manager.

The Chef Manager organises every aspect of the catering operation and provides a safe, nutritious, quality service to our residents using freshly produced food. With a hands-on role, leading a team, they provide a quality catering service and help create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents. Working with our residents they help to create menus to meet their needs and suit their tastes.
