Another wonderful afternoon at Dale Lodge for an amazing Mother's Day tea. The staff work so hard to help us all with what could be a sad day.
Food and drinks, fantastic and with the carers in their black and white, it was just like a visit to a famous catering house back in the day.
I can't thank
that staff here enough, we love this place and we now have a wonderful extended family.

Had a wonderful afternoon tea to celebrate Mother's Day with my family and the girls did us proud. I can't express how grateful I am that my mum is being looked after by such wonderful caring angels.

Spent a lovely afternoon with my mum for Mother's Day. Staff put on a lovely spread of sandwiches and cakes. They were all really friendly. All in all a great afternoon. Thanks to the manager and her team.

The care my mum gets couldn't be better. All the staff are kind, caring and friendly and are always ready to do anything she needs. The food is lovely and if my mum doesn't want what is on the menu they will do her something she wants. She is always kept clean and tidy.

Staff have been very helpful, answered all questions promptly and satisfactory. Mum has only praise for the staff which is very reassuring to us. The home is so clean as my daughter has worked in various nursing homes and she was very impressed. We have just had a lovely afternoon with mum on Mothers

A lovely Father's Day celebration organised for just two resident Dads prompted this review.
Dale Lodge is staffed by wonderful people whose care of my Dad is second to none.
I love that they engage in normal conversation with all the residents and have an in-depth knowledge of what interests them
- even The World Cup!
(Doesn't go down too well with the lady residents, but then again the men had to put up with The Royal Wedding!)
My Dad is always clean and well fed.
He has issues around food, but a member of staff sits with him and encourages him.
It is a big thing to feel relaxed about his care.

Mum has been resident here for nearly 12 months. The care and experience has been very good. I found the staff and management friendly, caring and helpful. They have been excellent when mum has needed medical treatment with calling Dr. and admission to hospital. I feel it is a safe environment!

We have been visiting my mother in law since January '18 and have found the staff and care at the home to be excellent. My mother in laws health has improved greatly. We have enjoyed a lovely Mothers day tea today that has been enjoyed by everyone.

The manager put on a lovely Mothers Day afternoon tea for all the relatives and didn't even charge us (we would have paid). She also had a singer to sing songs from the era so my mum sang along. We had a table for our family and it was a lovely afternoon as a family, my mum even had her hair done! Overall
the staff and manager put on a lovely treat and afternoon. Apart from this, the manager is always arranging family and relative events.

The home is clean and a happy place.

I joined Nicholas James Care Home in June 2000 as a part-time care assistant. The company was supportive, and I enjoyed working in such a friendly environment. In 2007, my career progressed to deputy manager. This supporting role gave me everything I needed to further my career, and in 2014, I became the registered manager for Dale Lodge & Dale Mount! I am a very dedicated and loyal person when it comes to both family and work. I always look for team members who are honest, accountable, have integrity and good principles.


Together, we enable residents to be who they are as individuals and provide peace of mind to families by ensuring everyone is treated with the utmost respect and dignity. I am extremely honoured and privileged to be a part of this established company.
