My mother has been in Dale Lodge for two years. This has been her third care home, it has been the best so far. There are always activities going on which I know my mother enjoys. I can highly recommend the house and its caring staff.

Dale Lodge is a lovely, clean and friendly care home. Nan is always well fed (appraently the food is lovely) and entertained. The activities are frequent and lots of fun. Thank you for looking after her so well.

My mum is happy in this environment. All of the staff are friendly and she always looks clean and tidy. Mum loves the visits arranged when the children and animals come as therapy.

Mum has always been treated with great care and dignity. All the staff are friendly and do their best to answer any queries we have. Mum always says now nice the food is and never complains about being hungry. Cleanness of rooms and lounge area is great.

Mum has been a resident at Dale Lodge for over 6 years. It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made but the care she has received over that time has been fantastic and has fully justified that decision. The staff and management work so hard to ensure the physical and emotional well being of
each resident as well as supporting the families along the way.

I cannot recommend Dale Lodge highly enough. From the moment you step through the doors, you are met with warmth, professionalism, and an environment that truly feels like home. The staff go above and beyond, treating every resident with kindness, dignity, and respect, making each individual feel valued
and cared for.


The facilities are spotless, modern, and thoughtfully designed to cater to every need, from comfortable living spaces to engaging communal areas. The variety of activities and events available ensures that residents remain active, socially connected, and stimulated. My mum has been at Dale Lodge for 4 years they took her before COVID and waited whilst I was selling her house for payment. Thank goodness as she couldn't care for herself. The staff are all amazing people doing activities every day and taking care and spending time with my loved one and all other residents.
I would be lost without them.

My mum has been a resident at Dale Lodge for several years now. I am extremely happy with the level of care they provide. Nothing is too much trouble. They communicate regularly with me and when my mum has fallen due to her poor mobility I'm informed straight away and kept up to date. All of the staff
are so lovely. My mum is so happy there that when my dad passed away last year her only question was would she still be able to stay here and this is a testament to the level of care she receives.

Dale Lodge is a small care home with residents who have a wide range of needs which the staff cope with admirably. I have found the manager and staff extremely keen to ensure my mother's needs are met and are very quick to respond to any concern or request I have. They have tried their upmost to include
my mother in activities but unfortunately dementia means she can get confused and usually prefers to be alone these days and so the staff work around this to keep her as settled as possible. The home is kept clean and I rarely detect unpleasant odours which are prevalent in other homes I have visited. If anything is noticed it is dealt with promptly.


The food is very good and varied and they have tried themed options in the past to introduce new dishes. My mother is always dressed well and her clothes are well laundered and cared for. A great home with a fantastic team who really 'care' for the residents in every sense of the word.

Mum began her stay at Dale Lodge when her Dementia was so bad she could no longer stay at home. The team are fantastic and the transfer was simple.
Dale Lodge is lovely and clean, and nicely laid out. The activities are really good, mum enjoyed the music and singing. The food is brilliant. The staff
are friendly and caring. The home is small which means the staff know the clients really well. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum was always clean and nicely dressed.
I would recommend Dale Lodge to anyone looking for a care home for a loved one.

I am unable to fault the care home for the care they give my mother. Very tentative and know and support my mother's quirky ways. My mother seems happy and I observe her interacting with the carers. My mother's dementia takes a little bit of her each day I feel I loose her. Knowing she is supported
and cared for the the care home gives me piece of mind. My mother can be in my eyes cantankerous and I get embarrassed by how she can ignore the carers when asked to do something. However this is my view and not the view of any of the carers at the home.

When the time comes when your parent can no longer live independently, it is one of the hardest decisions to make to move them into the care of someone else. However Dale Lodge has fulfilled all expectations in keeping Mum safe, well cared for and respected. I have nothing but gratitude and thankfulness

My mum has been at Dale Lodge for over three years. Her dementia has progressed significantly during this time, as have her care needs, but she has always received the same excellent standard of care during this time. It really is like a home from home and I never worry about my mum. The carers are
all excellent. They truly care about the residents and go above and beyond to give them all the love, care and support they need every day. They have lots of activities and special events. This is a happy home. I would not hesitate to recommend Dale Lodge to anyone needing to place their loved one in a residential care home.

Our mum only arrived two days ago after a week's stint in hospital. Despite our concerns about Mum going into a residential care home after years of independent living, she seems to have settled in very well. The staff at Dale Lodge have been professional, caring and very kind - showing Mum respect
and giving her dignity. Thank you so much for looking after her, it is a huge relief for all our family to see Mum looking happy and relaxed.

A big thank you to the manager and team for doing an amazing job taking care of our mum's needs. It's lovely the way they all have great banter with Mum and seeing how caring everyone is means a lot. The kindness shown makes me feel very happy and I can see that our mum is happy too. When visiting at
the home I feel I get to have quality time with Mum, having a cuppa and a chat together makes the visit so much more lovely.

I joined Nicholas James Care Home in June 2000 as a part-time care assistant. The company was supportive, and I enjoyed working in such a friendly environment. In 2007, my career progressed to deputy manager. This supporting role gave me everything I needed to further my career, and in 2014, I became the registered manager for Dale Lodge & Dale Mount! I am a very dedicated and loyal person when it comes to both family and work. I always look for team members who are honest, accountable, have integrity and good principles.


Together, we enable residents to be who they are as individuals and provide peace of mind to families by ensuring everyone is treated with the utmost respect and dignity. I am extremely honoured and privileged to be a part of this established company.
