Whenever I visit nan she is sometimes crying, but mainly happy when I do visit. She has got a sense of humour and is usually laughing and remembering old times. I feel she is well looked after.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Residents are well looked after and given activities to do. They all seem well fed, although they rarely remember the details. You can tell that the residents need stimulations which I understand is difficult as they all need different.

The home is clean, bright and most importantly does not smell as so many other homes do. The staff are clean and tidy and always in uniform. They are all very friendly and caring. No complaints at all.

I joined Nicholas James Care Home in June 2000 as a part-time care assistant. The company was supportive, and I enjoyed working in such a friendly environment. In 2007, my career progressed to deputy manager. This supporting role gave me everything I needed to further my career, and in 2014, I became the registered manager for Dale Lodge & Dale Mount! I am a very dedicated and loyal person when it comes to both family and work. I always look for team members who are honest, accountable, have integrity and good principles.


Together, we enable residents to be who they are as individuals and provide peace of mind to families by ensuring everyone is treated with the utmost respect and dignity. I am extremely honoured and privileged to be a part of this established company.

I strive to ensure that all my Clients feel Happy, Safe and understood going above and beyond to ensure their days are enriching, full of fun, laughter and Love. I am absolutely delighted to have not only won the Regional's for the The Great British Care Awards but also the Finals in Birmingham for Activity Organiser this not only represents my journey but the journey of those i have the pleasure of working with everyday.
