The care from the staff towards my mother and our family were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, and they kept me informed at all times if there was concern over my mother, even with the current climate of Coivd.
Twelve months ago my beloved sister was ensconced into the Grange which immediately became her home. It was apparent that it was a professionally run business whilst maintaining a happy homely environment for all patients. The impression one gets when entering the light bright hall is welcoming and clean. The menu displayed in the dining room is varied with food to suit most pallets. The staff are caring, kind and efficient with the right measure of friendliness. The facilities at the Grange are many but as mentioned the personnel are the most important asset along with your friendly management which was stretched but kept the home Covid free in these difficult times. I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your guidance and care, the feeling of not having to worry for my sister’s wellbeing and safety and pass on my thank you to one and all.
I was very impressed that before the instruction was given to lockdown care homes due to coronavirus the decision was taken to protect all the residents by severely restricting access and limiting only essential contact. The management was steadfast in protecting staff and residents by stringent use of PPE, early testing of all personnel and client resulting in everyone receiving negative results. Since arriving at The Grange in July 2019 my mother received excellent care and support across all aspects of her daily needs.
My mother spent just over two years at The Grange Care Home. In the two years, both my brother and I saw a change. At first, it was dissipating with regular nursing staff and manager alike coming and going. Things really picked up over the last year and were really happy Mum was there. She was looked after well, the care and support were first-class, and she was very happy. The day my mother passed away, the staff were amazing, very caring to both my mother and us as a family. We were offered food and drinks constantly. They turned and made Mum comfortable, popping into the room regularly to see if we needed anything. I have recommended The Grange Care Home to several people as a warm and welcoming place to spend their final days.
My husband went into The Grange Care Home for two weeks respite, with early dementia. He settled very well in a warm and friendly atmosphere. His needs were always attended to by the kind and reassuring staff, and I thank them so much.
Nice, friendly home. Very helpful in every way. Clean and tidy.
Thank you very much for the respite care given to our mother. She improved physically and mentally during her two-week stay. She was sat at the tea-table the evening before last and said: "I like it here, the people are lovely." The staff have been excellent and supportive. Thank you all.
Mum settled in well and all questions were answered in a clear manner.
All the care given to my relative has been excellent. The staff are very professional. My relative has a water infection, the doctor was called and she was given antibiotics.
The Grange provided my mother with excellent care and attention throughout her residency at The Grange. Also, the information on Mum and her health needs provided by all staff to relatives was exceptional, and their support, love and respect given to Mum and to relatives at difficult times will be remembered by myself and family forever.
I don't mind saying that my mum is in The Grange now, not like one or two years ago, I was ashamed to say.
The last year she has been bed-bound and the care and the attention given to her has been excellent.
All the staff are always checking up on her and moving her.
He doesn't really engage in any activities here as he would rather just watch his own television, but he does go to the dining room for his meals.
I have always found the staff very helpful and polite.
I find The Grange better than the last care home I was at. I can walk around assisted if I want to and find the staff cooperative when I need them.
When searching for a suitable care home we called The Grange on the off chance of a vacancy. We were told we could drop in at any time, no need to book an appointment, just turn up. This was refreshing and made us all feel at ease with the place. We knew instantly that we wanted Dad to come here. We never regretted that decision.
We thoroughly recommend The Grange.
Everybody appears totally professional.
