My nan went into walmer care centre for respite care. We noticed a change in nan almost immediately. She got her belly laugh back. Nans sleeping and appetite has improved since being a walmer care center. She also looks well presented and cared for. It didnt take the staff long to build a good connection with nan where she feels comfortable enough to be able to banter with them.

The care mum and ourselves received was amazing, although mum was not here long, everyone was kind and caring and treated mum with the utmost dignity. They were available 24/7, no matter what you needed, a cup of tea, a shoulder to cry on. I cannot thank them enough for the care and support we as a family received.

It is clear that from the first day mum moved to WCC that she enjoys every minute. You can see from the smile mum has whilst at WCC that she feels safe and cared for.

I appreciate the care and attention all the staff provide to all the residents. The weekly updates show the activities and events organised by WCC, which always look fun for all!

Staff - friendly and cheerful and caring. Room - functional. Food - fine. Building - convenient downstairs. A trial for the staff in getting me to my room upstairs. No doubt you are satisfied that the barriers are necessary. Residents - have my deepest sympathy.

I have found the staff very friendly and supportive. They are all partticularly knowledgeable when discussing my aunt and her condition. In particular they are very patient and understanding when dealing with her. Regular checks are carried out and there always seems to be a member of staff available to deal with the residents needs.

A very welcoming home to residents, visitors and my dog who enjoys the extra attention! The home is warm and well managed with excellent staff who are attentive and very caring. The ratio of staff to residents is high which is good to know and see. The Duty Managers keep me informed of any incidents relating to my mother in a timely fashion, and steps taken in her support.
The home spent much time and effort in ensuring that all residents had an enjoyable Christmas period, with decorations, activities, presents and meals. Family and staff were integrated into the process....thank you.
Mum is safe, well cared for and content living at the home. I am confident and pleased that the Walmer Care Centre is the right home for her. The location at the seafront is special with good parking and access.

It is good that staff wear their name badges which is helpful for residents and visitors alike.

The care home had a wonderful afternoon tea out in the garden. Pimms, scones, cakes etc, much prepared by the residents. Also, a man playing the saxophone. Later in the month, there was the summer lunch which had games, a singer and many of the residents dancing.

My mum has been in the home for 3 weeks and appears to have settled well now. All our questions and concerns were answered during the transition stage. Mum appears clean and well dressed in her own clothes which is also important to me. All staff are approachable and happy to listen to me however minor my query is.

My friend and neighbour was admitted to Walmer Care Home in January. After two years of treatment for myloma where I was the main support and carer. He was very poorly, but after your most professional carers have nursed and supported him he has been able to retain his dignity whilst losing control of his independent life. All staff are so positive and helpful. It's a pleasure to be a visitor the encouragement of activities and continuing life is excellent.
