I feel comfortable that mum is being cared for.

My friend and neighbour was admitted to Walmer Care Home in January. After two years of treatment for myloma where I was the main support and carer. He was very poorly, but after your most professional carers have nursed and supported him he has been able to retain his dignity whilst losing control of his independent life. All staff are so positive and helpful. It's a pleasure to be a visitor the encouragement of activities and continuing life is excellent.

The care provided for my mother is second to none. The staff are friendly and approachable. Any concerns raised are dealt with quickly. I have no hesitation in recommending this home. My mother loves it, good food, a comfortable environment, and excellent care.

The Carelton Team really do go above and beyond to ensure that their residents are treated as individuals and have created a warm, kind and caring environment for all them and visitors.

My mum decided that residential care would be her best option due to immobility and living alone in her own home. She tried 2 weeks respite care initially, and decided to make it permanent. The staff are lovely, and nothing seems too much trouble. Residents are given as much help as they need and are treated with dignity and respect. Mum has made some friends, and has a far superior quality of life with good company in a beautiful place. The location is far better suited for myself and siblings to visit her, and she seems very happy.

Mum has been part of the home family for over 5 years now. A really wonderful caring team, you couldn't ask for better. I love chatting to other residents and the working team. I never have to worry if my Mum is ok. The activities are great, whether they are one to one, as a larger group or visiting school children, dancers, singers. Thank you for looking after my Mum xx

Loving caring polite staff. Clean building with a good atmosphere. Hard working staff that demonstrate tolerance and understanding of the residents. Rooms are clean and tidy. I always recommend the home to other members of the public.

I have been volunteering here since October. I have always found the staff very welcoming. I have observed a very keen sense of belonging to a family when the staff attend to the residents. There is a very varied activity programme which runs every day. I think the biggest asset which I have seen every member of staff has is patience - something that is so crucial for the residents living here. They are cared for as individuals with dignity and kindness.

Dad moved into Walmer Care Centre in October 2024, he has always said he would never accept moving into a care home, even when in hospital after falls he was always wanting to leave before his treatment had finished. We took Dad with trepidation wondering how long he would last, he is still there three months later and he is very happy. The staff are wonderful, kind, respectful and engaging. There is always a cheerful atmosphere and the care is outstanding. Why were we worried, Dad is thriving.

My mum lives at the home and is very well cared for by the lovely carers. They're friendly, family-orientated and dedicated.

Wonderful staff, so helpful and really understand the needs of the residents. Always on hand to answer any questions we have regarding our aunt's care.

I have been so impressed by the professionalism, caring nature and general helpfulness of every member of staff at Walmer Care Centre since I first contacted them in early January to enquire about urgent short-notice respite care. The gentleman whom I was assisting to arrange the respite care is being looked after extraordinarily well. The standard of care provided is exceptional. It is clear that everyone who works there, from the carers and senior carer to the deputy manager and manager, are naturally caring people who are committed to doing the best job possible for their residents, and take a genuine interest in each individual resident. It is the people who work there who really make this place what it is. Thank you to you all.

The carer was very knowledgeable about Mum's meds, habits and personality and can see Mum is very comfortable in her surroundings.

Mum has been happy here for the last four years. The staff are very accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum and staff are always having good banter.

Could not have wished for a better place for Mum for the last two weeks of life. Staff were not only kind and caring to Mum but also to me and other relatives. Would not hesitate to recommend Walmer Care Centre.

Dad moved into the care home in late December 23 and settled in straight away. The staff are fantastic with him and our family is very happy that he’s here. There’s a lovely atmosphere when we call in to see him with lots of friendly faces. We would highly recommend the care home.

We as a family are very pleased with the care of our Mother, the staff are very friendly, helpful, and caring towards residents and family members, and nothing is too much trouble. Our Mother is always clean and her room is bright and tidy. The staff keep us informed. Overall the staff are very caring and the care home is very warm and welcoming. We are very happy with the quality of care our Mother receives.
