Bridge Haven Care Centre has a rural setting in the village of Bridge, close to the city of Canterbury in Kent. It provides care and support for older people living with dementia and strives to give them a new and exciting quality of life during their time at the home.

The home’s philosophy of care is to eradicate loneliness and boredom by promoting social interaction and engagement.

Avante Care and Support understands the importance of a good environment for residents living with dementia. Bridge Haven's refurbishment means it offers two beautifully designed suites called Bluebell and Primrose.

Many of the rooms have an added luxury of patio doors leading out to the secure gardens surrounding Bridge Haven. The home boasts a number of open plan lounges and dining areas with a style and view to suit everyone.

The care my mum receives is second to none. They are able to talk to mum + cheer her up if needed or help her when she is really confused to settle her. One member of staff, in particular, is really good to mum.

I cant express enough how kind and caring the staff are. They always have a smile on their face. I cant thank them enough on how they are looking after my mum.

I visited Bridge Haven on many occasions and was blown away by the staff. The care team were amazing. Kind, caring, gentle and attentive. I hope I don't need a care home in the future but I have told my family I would be happy to go here.

Bridge Haven Care Home is a lovely place, all the staff are very friendly and approachable. My mum has settled very well and is very happy. We were concerned about her going into care but the home was wonderful from day one and I would recommend them to anyone.

My personal thanks to all the staff for being extremely attentive and supportive, one member of staff, in particular, goes above and beyond to make everyone feel safe and cared for. All staff are caring, it is very clean and airy. It is lovely to see just how fond the staff are with their patients.

Mother has been in the home for over 12 months. Staff are welcoming and know who I am here to see. Staff are attentive and friendly to my mother who has advanced dementia and Parkinson's. Key staff tend to ensure mum feels comfy and relaxed. Always staff present and happy to help. Make visits more enjoyable

Mum's rapid decline in cognitive ability this year meant that she was no longer able to live independently. Bridge Haven Care Home was recommended by a friend, Haven did all it could to get Mum into a safe, friendly place as soon as possible. Four weeks in Bridge Haven Care Home saw her bloom! She looked
amazing. Then she took a tumble and deteriorated a lot in hospital. A week back in Bridge Haven and she is bringing to bloom again. Cannot thank these amazing people for looking after her. Worth every penny.

My mum went to Bridge Haven Care Home in November last year after her previous home closed down. I have nothing but praise for all the staff taking care of my mum; she now has everything she has craved since she was diagnosed with vascular dementia. It was so hard at home, but knowing she is being looked
after and having a range of activities to keep her occupied is lovely to know and stops me worrying about her. I see her every week, and the look on her face when she sees me melts my heart. Thank you to everyone at Bridge. I would recommend them to anyone who asks me.

After looking at 27 other homes, we struck gold with this one. Care and interaction are spot on, and the activities are often and engaging for the residents. My mum thinks of Bridge Haven as home. Bridge Haven suffers from the same government underinvestment as all others, but they hide it the best.

I could not have found a better home for my mother the staff are wonderful caring dedicated professionals who go above and beyond to make everyone there feel safe and happy. The staff are always cheerful in what at times must be a difficult job. The entertainment programme is varied engaging and quite
frankly inspiring. The support I get when Mum is having a difficult time is great and any issues they are on the phone to me to keep me updated. The home and Mum's room are clean bright and airy and the food is good with mid-morning freshly made smoothies and homemade afternoon cakes a very well done Bridge Haven 10 out of 10!

I would highly recommend Bridge Haven Care Home. It has a lovely feel about it. The lounges are set out really well rather than residents all sitting around in a circle. My mum is really happy here and has been here over a year and a half now and I am very pleased with the home. The staff are lovely.
Very caring and understanding and keep the family updated at all times. It is lovely to see their social media page with my mum's smiling face on there from time to time so that we know what activities she has been up to.

I had promised my mum that she would never go into a care home, sadly when we could no longer cope, we had no choice (last August 2022). We spent days visiting and reviewing all homes in a wide spread area, some I wouldn't let my dog live in. Bridge Haven has not only eased the pain and guilt for me,
but I know my mum is being looked after far better than I could have hoped for. She is treated with respect, love , kindness, friendship and warmth. Bridge Haven is one of the only care homes I know that ensures that the residents are kept entertained with plenty of activities. Bridge Haven gives more than just special care for my mum, they are always supportive to me. I feel included and comfortable amongst them. In my opinion, the staff are Bridge Haven. They are amazing and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone. Thank you, to you all.

Our friend is extremely well cared for. Her room is always spotless, and she always praises the staff and the food. When we visit, the staff we meet are obviously very caring and can answer any questions we may have concerning our friend's well-being.
