St Winifred's is an extremely clean and tidy, well organised and maintained care home. It is well staffed and all staff, from the manager to cleaners, are very friendly and accommodating in dealing with residents in a caring and professional way. They always have time to talk and interact with the residents and visitors and assist, if required, with feeding the residents. There are plenty of activities and entertainment and a monthly newsletter. We are kept informed of any changes to my mother's care plan. As a family, we are very happy that mum is there with no worries.

My mother's health took a turn for the worse and she needed to leave her flat in Ramsgate.

She was in and out of hospital for several months had respite in a hospital. Went home and was back in hospital quickly. She went into another care home for several days but it was a desperate place. My wife found St Winifreds and mother moved there - thank god!!

As soon as I step through the door, there is a good atmosphere. Staff open the door with smiles and a greeting. Nothing it seems is too much trouble. Mother's room is open and she "kept an eye on".

She has a lovely room overlooking the garden - Couldn't be better for her. She has good food, activities, outings. Coffee and tea are regularly offered to her visitors. Friends who ring to speak to mum are always impressed with staff. I'm so lucky to have found this home for my mum.

My mother has just been admitted on a respite care basis to St Winifred's in Deal. From the moment I contacted the home I was supported in a professional, caring and welcoming manner reassuring both me (and my mother) that this home was the right choice for my mother's needs. All of the staff are friendly, approachable and professional and go out of their way to help in any way they can.

The Assistant Manager easily established a good working relationship with both my mother and I and was able to sort out any issues we had quickly, effectively and efficiently. She treated us in a professional and calm manner treating us with honesty, respect and consideration. Her friendly, calm, approachable attitude is a true credit to her and to the care home.

It was a difficult decision to put my mum into a care home but her Alzheimers and vascular dementia made it increasingly difficult to manage her in her own home. She is generally very happy in St Winifreds and all the carers are extremely caring and provide the correct support for her.

My mother has been at St Winifred's Residential Care Centre following a damaging second stroke in 5 years. She has use of a light and airy single room with ensuite facilities. The staff are very caring and helpful and although the home is quite small, my mother receives good attention at all times. She seems very happy here and we as relatives are happy for her. There is a good feel in the home and there are good deals on offer. Thank you.

My mother passed away peacefully on 22nd September 2016 having been a resident at St Winifred's Residential Care Centre for the last 18 years. She has always been treated with the utmost care and respect. My mother has always been happy and her end of life care was excellent. This care home is a fine establishment and I would recommend it highly.

My husband was a resident for almost seven years, and was always looked after very well, with great respect to which means a lot. In the final days the staff were amazing and the last days and leading to the final hour they were all exceptional. Those carers really care. Every word spoken to me was gentle and carefully chosen. I was dreading his death, how he would go, but it was a beautiful experience, and he slowly drifted away. The whole thing was so dignified and I was never left alone, the carers were there. Be proud of management and staff of St Winifreds.
