Mother has been well cared for. No complaints.

Since my husband went into Larkrise in March 2026 the whole team from the managers to the excellent dedicated team on the dementia specialist unit have been so welcoming, understanding, supportive and caring to both myself and my husband. From the outset I felt confident that my husband was in good hands. The unit is very light and airy with plenty of space for residents to walk around with small individual lounges, a lovely dining room overlooking the secure garden and a club room for activities and he has his own large ensuite bedroom. Due to the excellent care, the care staff's knowledge of dementia and their intervention skills, my husband soon settled and he is responding well to the social stimulation, engagement with staff and joining in with the excellent programme of activities. He is noticeably calmer and happier. I am so comforted to know he is so well cared for. Thank you to everyone at Larkrise for the excellent person centred care you provide.

I have been a volunteer in this home since it opened; and have found it to be a very friendly and caring environment. I have seen many changes of staff in this time, but the friendly atmosphere has never changed. There are so many activities planned to cater for different people, it is quite amazing.

This is the definition of perfection the staff 'location property' amenatives and everything in between is spot on. My mum feels safe very comfortable, and content and leaves the staff and the staff show so much love to my mama, I wouldn't mind staying here myself.
Well... not sure how we can top perfection but we will try. We really appreciate your kind words of our home, thank you so much. We absolutely love your mum, and also getting to know you and your family. Please let us know if we can help any further.
Mum and the extended family have been welcomed so warmly. The circumstances in which Mum was placed at Larkrise were tough, receiving palliative care with a limited life expectation, but Mum has improved significantly whilst in residence and us as a family feel a weight has been lifted from our shoulders knowing Mum is safe, secure and content. Mum continues to fight for her independence, but also is able to understand her limitations with support. Larkrise is a gem of a place.
Wow, what a lovely review! We are truly grateful and to be called a gem of a place is the highest compliment we can receive. We love caring for your mum and seeing her progress so well. If there is anything else we can do for your mum or your family, please let us know. We have a range of community events planned, it would be lovely to have you join us.
