From our very first visit, we found the staff very warm and friendly. This was mums assessment and we came away knowing our mother was going to be really cared for. This is her second respite stay and by far the most enjoyable for her.

Our friend has been in 2 care homes previously for short stays. Directly on visiting her at Longlands, I noticed about twice the number of staff so that they do have time for human contact with the residents. Our friend is very happy at Longlands and she says the staff are very good to her.

My Nan was in Longlands care home for over 18 months! We wish it had been longer but sadly we lost her in May this year. Longlands team gave my Nan the support we could no longer give at home. Before she went into the home it was a very hard time for all of the family, everyone wants to keep there loved ones at home but in the end, we had to think of the safety of my Nan. Anyway, she settled in brilliantly, the staff were very supportive, loving and made her feel very at home! And us as the family as well. The atmosphere was lovely, always other residents around for my Nan to watch. She was cared for in a dignified way and nothing was too much trouble, and up until she passed everyone worked hard to make her as comfortable as possible. She was happy and generally loved by staff, we could not have asked for any more! A huge thanks to all staff at Longlands.

From the manager of the home to the care workers in the home, everybody has made a very long lasting impression on both myself and my step-father. I feel they have given us both peace of mind.

Thanks again, please keep up the good work.

My mother chose to reside at Longlands for a few months after a long and difficult hospital stay. She soon decided to stay permanently as Longlands proved a pleasant, positive and caring environment. She loved the activities, visits, coffee mornings, freedom to come out with me and the friendship of other residents. She felt she could be "independent" as well as receive support. Both she and I were very happy with everything.

We were very pleased with the 6-month review process, it was gentle and personal directed at mum but with a chance for input. The care leader was wonderful.

My dad came for two weeks respite care in July/August 2017. I visited my dad several times and always found him happy, well fed and always clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and treated all the residents with kindness and respect. The home was very clean. Lots of activities on offer, the activity coordinator was wonderful. I was welcomed by all members of staff and enjoyed many cups of tea!

My mother of 92 came in for respite care. She was looked after very well although she wasn't happy living away from home. They all made her stay a very pleasant experience and it was lovely coming to visit her as they made us all feel very welcome. Thank you.

My mother has been at Longlands for 2.5 years, having the most wonderful care from dedicated carers. She has just turned 100 and was treated to a memorable party in the dining room.
She only likes to stay in her room but no one passes without speaking or having a conversation with her.

I sleep very peacefully in South Africa knowing that she is safe and happy.

The staff are very friendly but most importantly. They really do care. I have often turned up at the home to find a member of staff taking time to talk and joke with my mother. Events are regularly organised. This week a party was organised including a duet singing songs for the residents. Family members made to feel welcome, always an offer of a cup of tea. Delightful.

My mother in law went into Longlands mid-January with dementia. She was very under weight & not herself, however since being at Longlands she has put some weight on, made friends with some of the other residents, enjoys going to coffee morning and days out, she is a lot more enthusiastic about joining in with activities, and the care staff are always on hand if you have any questions. I couldn't have wished for a better care home for my mother in law, it's a delight to go and visit her here.
