Madley Park House was opened in 2005 and offers residential, early-stage dementia and respite care for up to 60 residents. It is situated in a peaceful location on the outskirts of Witney and is close to local shops and services.

Spacious bedrooms with en suite facilities and comfortable lounges look out onto landscaped gardens whilst amenities within the home include a hair salon and shop.

Activity coordinators ensure that there is a varied programme of events and outings to suit all tastes and residents are encouraged to continue hobbies they have enjoyed during their life, and also try out something new if they so wish.

Strong links with the local community mean that there is always someone new coming into the home to ensure residents get the best of out every day.

The team are on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide residents with support and encourage them to continue to be as independent as they can be.

Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.


Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

A jewel of a find. A real home from home.
No longer is my mother frightened, anxious and unable to cope. Instead, she is calm and contented because of the wonderful care she is receiving. All her needs are being met and she is being treated with dignity and respect by all those she comes into contact
with. A lifesaver for all of us. Thank you.

My mother arrived here after a prolonged stay in hospital and after a short - but awful experience - at another home. There is no area of Madley Park, that I wouldn't give 5 stars to. Everyone - and I mean everyone - has been brilliant with mum. They've rung me with the slightest concern. They even
rang me - overjoyed - to tell me that mum had started eating. I can't praise them enough.

The care, compassion and understanding are incredible. All the staff, in whatever capacity, go above and beyond what is expected to help in whatever way they can. The overall atmosphere of the building is one of calm, controlled activity and a great sense of security. I could not ask for anything more

On visiting our friend we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the areas we were in and the lack of aroma associated with care homes. The staff were very helpful to us.


The only area of comment is regarding the community television which is low down in a corner and should really be better

located above head height on an end wall.

The care and service provided to my aunt was first class. The staff were extremely patient and kind to my aunt who could be difficult at times.
The food and accommodation was first rate.

The activities coordinator is a fantastic organiser when it comes to arts and crafts activities. I love getting to know all the residents and seeing how much they enjoy doing creative activities.


The home itself is well equipped with resources and is practical.


I enjoy my time here and will continue

Carers try their hardest to provide the best care which is difficult as a lot of patients need more care (some almost nursing) than what is funded.
They are careful and cautious and try to give residents as good as environment as they can.

Mum has Alzheimer's high-level needs.


Oct Positives
Staff warm, friendly.
Home clean, homely, and bright.
Mum relaxed and happy when I collected her.
Negatives
No-one came to support mum so I could leave, I wasn't happy to leave her alone as was her 1st visit.
Visited

Sunday, buzzed into main entrance, no staff downstairs. Went unchallenged to 1st floor, no staff went to mum's room. A man was inside, I redirected him, finally found staff who took me to mum. No-one checked who I was on entry or why I was there.
Clothing and dental plate with front teeth lost.


Nov Positives
Better handover, someone there to meet us and to manage the transition so I could leave discretely.
Negatives
Respite ended after 2 nights, I had to cancel plans with dad to celebrate his 80th birthday.
Back home mum clearly had a cold, though no mention made of it. Took her to the bathroom and her underwear was soiled, clearly not recent, she had not been supported to use the bathroom.

Overall, Madley Park House is a good, friendly care home. It has improved enormously under the current senior management. It feels now that the overwhelming majority of staff are enjoying working there and give really good care to the residents. Support from above was highly needed in order to filter
down to residents and this is now apparent.

Mum enjoys coming for 2 weeks when I have my holiday. This is her 3rd visit and she is always very happy when I pick her up. She loves the food - mostly the puddings.

My mother came into the home in January 2017 for 4 weeks respite. She was greeted with dignity and kindness shown where all the facilities were. My mum had a fall just before coming into the home and this is where she felt the safest. When the four weeks came to an end, she felt she would stay a little
longer until the middle of April.
She then decided that her home wasn't the place she wanted to be any longer as she was becoming extremely unstable on her feet. She has had two falls since and we feel we made the right decision for her to stay.

My dad died on the 7th July 2017 after suffering a stroke on 22nd June at Madley Park. He was treated with care, above the average many times over.


He was as happy as he could be, considering he lost his wife in February 2017.


Overall, I was very happy to leave Dad in the capable hands of some

very caring professionals.

My aunt has been a resident at Madley Park for around 5 years. Sadly she passed away at aged 97 in early June 2017.
Throughout her time in the home, I have been constantly impressed by the professionalism, care and facilities provided by the manager and all the staff who looked after and made my aunt's
time there a happy and supportive experience. The atmosphere and friendliness shown was superb and enabled me as her only nearest and dearest family member, to be relaxed that she was being cared for by diligent and enthusiastic staff who truly wished her to have a relaxing and stress-free life during the final year of her life. Her personal carer deserves, in particular, the highest praise.

My aunt came for respite recently and it was wonderful. The lady who came to assess my aunt was lovely. She really made her feel at ease and was so caring.
All the staff were so friendly and caring they couldn't do enough for my aunt.

I chose to come here because I live in Witney and have visited many times.
I need very little help and am free to come and go to all the friends, church meetings and events I am used to with no problems.
The staff work hard, not always easy as I know in my experience of caring for my family.
The
staff who have been here sometime are usually very friendly. All still do a good caring job and some are most helpful and interested in you, especially one person.

My mother was in Madley Park House for over two years.
All staff were very friendly and professional at all times, especially during my mother's final months when she needed constant assistance.
The home was well decorated and always clean and fresh.
My mother was always clean and her clothes well
laundered.
Everyone was catered for in the varied activities.
All meals were freshly cooked and there were even home made cakes.
My mother was very happy and settled in quickly.
I would strongly recommend this very caring home.

Nicola

Nicola Rowlands

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2005

Niki started working for the Trust in 2005. She began as a Senior Care Leader and in 2006, Niki was offered the position of NVQ Assessor within the Leaning and development team. As the role evolved, Niki became a Learning and Development Advisor, delivering training to our teams in Gloucestershire, and eventually went on to lead this team.


In 2017, Niki went back to an operational role as Deputy Manager at The Lakes Care Centre. Following a break, Niki returned to the Trust as a Scheme Manager for Extra Care Housing on a short-term contract. She was delighted to accept a permanent position as the Registered Manager at Madley Park in October 2021.


In her spare, time Niki likes to spend time with her family in the lovely village she lives in. She can often be found in her kitchen cooking enough to feed the street!

Jenna

Jenna Kendall

Job Title: Activity Coordinator Joined: 2025

Jenna joined the Trust in March 2025 as a part-time Activity Coordinator at Madley Park House. She previously worked in midwifery at local hospitals, where she also completed her Care Certificate.


Seeking a new challenge, Jenna was drawn to a role where she could use her transferable skills to make a difference in the lives of others.


Jenna lives locally and has a strong connection with the community. She is looking forward to raising the profile of Madley Park and creating opportunities to bring the wider community into the home.


Outside of work, Jenna enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and has a passion for cooking.
