Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.


Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

One of my friends has been living at Marston Court care home since before Christmas. I was present when she was assessed by the Home Manager and Admin Assistant. I was very impressed by the assessment and was extremely pleased when she was accepted as a permanent resident.
I can see a huge improvement
in her since her admission.
The good work has carried on.
I visit on a regular basis, I find the staff to be very friendly, welcoming and extremely professional.
She was very unsettled at first, but they have coped very well with her care needs.
She is now so settled and no longer asking to go home.
I’m impressed with the activities that I’ve seen going on.
My friend was an A and E nurse giving great care and it’s so nice that this care is being returned to her.
I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to all the staff looking after her, I can remember a few names that I recall.

The staff have and are looking after my mother so very well. I cannot complain at all. Carers and day activity organisers are amazing. Not only have the staff looked after my mother they have looked after her family too.

Since my husband's entry to Marston Court eight weeks ago, we have been touched by the high degree of personal care, kindness and energy from the carers to the residents. We are also relieved and happy with the quality of activities in their day centre (scooter races included!). The management team
runs this stalkingly clean home like a big family, filling it with so much kindness and care that it has made settling in for my husband faster than expected. Thank you!

The staff are always welcoming when we visit. They often offer us tea or coffee. My mother-in-law always looks well cared for, and her room is always clean and tidy. Staff are quick to spot if she is less well than usual and haven't hesitated to call in the GP. Staff persevered in getting her involved
in activities but also acknowledged her need for time on her own.

When Mum first moved in, she did not show her best self (she was angry about coming here). Initially, she was hostile towards others; however, the staff worked really hard to manage her behaviour, and with their perseverance and hard work, she settled in. With the staff's care and support, Mum is much
happier.

My wife began her permanent stay in Marston Court on 25th July 2023. She is settled in the new home nicely. She looks well and shows no signs of unhappiness because I think the building is beautiful, always very clean, warm and cost, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The management and all staff

I cannot recommend Marston Court highly enough! My dad has been a resident there since September 2021 and the care he gets is absolutely outstanding. The staff go above and beyond and are all so caring, compassionate and treat Dad as if he were one of their own family members. He enjoys the activities
so much, something he would never have done previously! The food is amazing and I know Dad thoroughly enjoys it. It was a very difficult decision to place Dad into care but I know he is so well looked after, safe and is in the best place for all his needs. Thank you Marston Court, we will forever be grateful to you for all you do for him.

Marston Court is a fantastic place and the staff are amazing. My dad moved in in September 2021 and has done incredibly well. He has put on weight, as he loves the food so much, and joins in with all of the activities. The care he receives is outstanding and he is treated as part of the Marston Court
family. He is in the best place possible and I can't thank the staff enough for everything that they do for him.

The staff put me and my mother at ease when we first visited. The care staff were amazing so upbeat doing extra tasks to make Mum feel good, above and beyond their job descriptions. The office staff gave advice as I was upset seeing Mum in a home at first, but it's the best thing that could have happened
- she's much happier now, so many activties. The newsletter over the 11 challenges for Poppy Day really helped my family feel good about her welfare. It was sent to relatives around the world. You're tops Marston Court - thank you!

At the start of 2021 my dad started his residency here, it only took a week or so for him to feel at home - as this was a huge change for my dad so to have him feel comfortable and confident in a new place so soon was amazing.
With all Covid-19 restrictions in place, communicating with my dad was seamless;
via telephone any time of the day and eventually in person as restrictions eased.
Dad spoke highly of all staff, activities and especially food (which Dad loved!) the menu choices each day were incredible and this helped Dad gain weight in the midst of having treatment following his diagnosis.
I would highly recommend Marston Court for any family member and/or loved one.
Thank you all so much for the care, support and kindness you provided for my dad.

Sharon

Sharon Fenn

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2001

Sharon started working in a residential home in Oxford in 1982, initially part-time helping with evening refreshments and weekend care work whilst still studying. Sharon’s plans were to join the Police, however, she soon realised that working in care was to be her pathway, never leaving but gaining experience in all job roles until becoming a Home Manager in 2001.


Sharon currently manages Marston Court in Oxford gaining a ‘Good’ with one ‘Outstanding’ on the last CQC Inspection.


Sharon has many hobbies outside of the workplace including playing in a brass band, playing the flute, vice president of the Sandford on Thames WI, spiritual and reiki healer. Sharon will often play her flute for the residents or runs an activity of crafts & flower arranging.
