I have visited my aunt several times in the Old Station House and have always felt welcome. It is always clean and all the staff I have met have been friendly and helpful. The room my aunt has is a lovely size with good views outside. She enjoys playing dominoes and going on trips out with the other residents.

Our mum has been in your care for almost 4 years and in that time had been treated with the utmost care, love and respect.
With their help, she became sociable and took part in the activities provided.
She enjoyed the food and also her independence.
Our family were looked after, good contact with the staff when she was no longer able to do things for herself. Carry on your excellent work, our loss has been helped by yourselves.

Once again, thank you.

My mother-in-law spent three and a half years as a resident at Old Station House and enjoyed her time spent there taking part in all sorts of social activities. Unfortunately became ill and passes away 22/5/18. The care she received during her time there was excellent also during her last days.

As a family, we were very happy about the care she received and can only say many thanks for the care and consideration taken.

My father has been at Old Station House for 6 months now and the staff are incredible. As Dad has got worse, the staff continue to adapt and increase what they do for him to try and keep him engaged and, most importantly, safe.

They went the extra mile for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, bringing residents together for their special meals with all the trimmings and making me very welcome as I wanted to be with Dad all day on those days as he was no longer able to leave the home. The staff team are also there for me as I struggle sometimes seeing how Dad is changing. I am so grateful to all the team for everything they do for Dad, and for me.

Overall Experience
This place really is a home for its residents. The rooms are lovely and there is a friendly atmosphere. The food is good, with plenty of choice and individual needs and wishes catered for.
All the staff, from management to carers to cleaners are friendly, caring and helpful and the residents are so well looked after and nurtured. The activities coordinator is excellent - so many trips out as well as in-house activities, including keeping minds and bodies active.
He even recently organised a trip out for a group but centred around my mother to her hometown for a trip down memory lane.
It is always clean and well maintained - the maintenance man often goes over and above to help residents out. Good security.
Christmas was great for the residents, to the point that my mother preferred to stay there than come to us.

Visitors and families are always welcomed, can join in activities and meal times if they wish, and go on/help with trips.

The care my mother received from 2014 - 2017 was second to none. The attention from the carers was always kind and thoughtful.
The activities arranged by the staff were marvellous, interesting and fun. Visits to garden centres, lunches out, river trips, Tai Chi, bowling, singing, crossword club, crib, scrabble and films something for everyone. Visits from church groups.

It was her home and her family were always made welcome. To be discharged from hosptial and receive end of life care at Old Station House where she knew and loved the staff and her family could be with her was dignified and perfect. We can't thank them enough.

We are extremely pleased with the care and support is given to our relative. Given the advanced state of dementia, it would be very easy for staff to pay him little attention. In practice, however, they take great care to provide him with stimulation and involve him in activities. Friends and relatives are always welcomed at any time.

Mother became seriously ill and subsequently died at the home.
The staff could not have been kinder and more comforting to Mum, spending much time with her to keep her company.
During her time at the home, Mum enjoyed many activities and social events and took part in games which kept her mind stimulated.

Staff were always supportive and caring and it was reassuring to know that she was being well looked after.
