I am not a fan of care homes but if this is the only option for your relatives, then it's a purpose-built building. Carers are all friendly and caring. I always think you could do with more so they have shifts of actually spending quality time with the residents. Sometimes when my father needs toiletries, clothes etc we don't get any notice. My father, suffering with dementia seems happy and enjoys all the attention from staff.

Having visited 4 times a week in the past 4 years I would like to congratulate the cleaning staff on their amazing efforts to keep the whole home clean and tidy. Apart from a few carers, I can say that 80% are caring and professional in their approach to residents and their visitors. Well done all.

My father moved into Spencer Court at the end of January 2019. Since then he has been very well cared for by the excellent staff. From my point of view, he is safe, warm, comfortable and well fed. All the staff seem to be very caring, kind and full of good humour. Who knows how much longer he has left at G4 but at least we know he will end his days in comparative comfort.

Friendly helpful staff. Cheerful under sometimes difficult circumstances. Activities are good although my mum could sometimes do with a bit more encouragement to take part. Rooms are clean and pleasant.

Amazing staff that go above and beyond to make the residents and family members feel welcome and at home. It is my Nan's 'home away from home' and I couldn't have wished for a better place for her to move to since her dementia has progressed.

I have found every member of staff from management to cleaning very friendly. Always ready to help in any way with my mother. They are caring and whenever I've visited, are always happy to chat and tell me how my mother is that day and has been during the previous days.

A lovely welcoming home which mum loves and feels like a home from home.
I would like more updates about how she's doing - maybe something more formalised but so catch up now and again from staff.

Some fantastic caring staff and well run.

It was wonderful and such a relief to see my mum settle so easily and so happily into the home. Compared to other homes I have visited, there is always a carers nearby which is very reassuring.
The staff appear fond of their charges and go the extra mile despite busy schedules.

My only concern is the need to refresh carers' memories about patients' habits and needs and to monitor their belongings.

I have been here for 10 months and am very happy and settled. I find the care here excellent with competent and genuinely kind and thoughtful carers. I am still fairly active mentally and less so physically but I particularly enjoy discussions and debates so really appreciate organised activities such as Library club, the literary and art group and we are lucky to have our activities coordinator. Who even organised a wonderful boat trip and picnic yesterday.

Lovely care staff who always greet me and make me feel welcome. The care for my relative is individualised and excellent. He feels safe and describes the home as 5 stars. The food is really good "homestyle" cooking. I have no concerns about the home at all.

My mother is now frail but celebrated her 100th birthday this month. The staff were wonderful and helped her family to celebrate this great occasion. Nothing was too small or big for them to help us.

She is well looked after and we are very pleased with all the staff and the extra mile they go to assist her.

It has been a very positive experience - handled with care by the staff at the home. My mother has settled very well and they have been very supportive and helpful and we can ask for assistance if necessary.

We, my brothers and I are happy and feel confident that we are leaving her wellbeing in very capable hands.

A well-run care home with well-kept grounds, friendly staff with an above standard of care in modern surroundings. Management seem receptive to any concerns residents may have one area that could be improved is the activities, however, movet are a-foot to improve this issue. I would recommend Spencer Court without any hesitation.

I have visited Spencer Court on several occasions. I have always found the staff to be patient, kind and understanding. This extends to all the staff I have met, regardless of their role.
Even with more challenging residents, they remain considerate and incredibly patient. The décor and general appearance of the home appears to be in good order throughout. Visitors are always welcomed and encouraged to take part in activities run by the home if they want.

My uncle is noticeably more relaxed after moving here.

It was a big question but I needed to be looked after after being at home with carers but I still ended up in hospital but with great help from my social worker when she found a room available in Woodstock where I had lived for 53 years and brought up my family and worked at the museum here for 27 years. It was the perfect place and all my boys and their families would not have to keep worrying about me after my husband had died so now they visit me often. I am very happy here, everyone working here is so kind and caring. I am lucky as it's easy for my friends to visit me and also made very welcome so all in all a very good result.
