My mum (Meg) has been taken into Townsend House. We have had first-class support from all your staff and Mum is very happy with her new home. We have given some items from her old home to help with your daily care. Many thanks everyone.

My mum was initially admitted to Townsend House for respite care which was amazing. She was well cared for and very very quickly made significant improvements in her wellbeing.
The staff are friendly and helpful- everyone you meet seems to know mum and is happy to help with any queries we have.
Mum has thrived in Townsend House. We have now managed to get her in there permanently which is amazing as she is happy there. ( she said to me recently 'do you think I could stay her? I really like it')
The activities for residents are a great source of fun and stimulation for mum- it has become clear to us that she has been missing social interaction and stimulation and is now having a new lease of life as a result.
Navigating getting her there permanently has been a challenge for many reasons but throughout the period the staff have been supportive and compassionate helping us get through each stage.

I am delighted and grateful that mum is here and cannot thank them enough

From the day my mother became a resident the care and dignity with which she was treated has been exceptional. All the staff - carers, nurses, clinical and management have been so kind and truely working for my mother's best interest. This despite her being highly confused, having been admitted on an emergency basis following an infection. We would recommend Townsend House and its staff.

My mother was a resident at Townsend House from October 2022. She was always well looked after, and when he mobility declined, she was assigned additional care as required. Mum was treated with respect and dignity, and if she preferred to stay in her room, this was accepted as her wish. There were activities organised regularly and mum was helped as her hearing made it difficult at times. Staff were always friendly and considerate and provided a 'second family' atmosphere for mum. Thank you.

The last time I saw my friend, when she was still living in her home, she told me that she was waiting to go into a care home as she would never walk again. Having known her for over forty years, I was very sad.

Then I came to see my friend here at the beginning of July, and I could not believe my eyes. Here she is, charging around with a walking stick, laughing, happy and quite literally, back to her old self. I can't thank the staff here enough for all they are doing for my friend. you have truly performed a miracle.

Once established and aware of the routine asked of residents, a comfort is found amongst the staff and residents one comes across. I always say 'hello' to anyone I see or meet (staff, cleaners, kitchen staff and residents). Doing so makes me feel relaxed and welcome. All staff are attentive - it is like a place from home - warmth and conversation and importance. I feel relaxed as a resident.

My brother lived here until he passed, he was very well cared for and happy.
