In a challenging environment, the staff are trying their best to meet the needs of the residents. Inconsistent management has created some discord and improved leadership is required to boost staff morale and provide improved experiences for all residents. Generally the service provided is good but equally there is room for improvement through training for staff resulting in a better outcome for residents and their families. Improved communication between the care home and families would be helpful.

My husband went into The Beeches in November 2025 from a previous care home facility which he had only been in a couple months it was a very traumatic time for us as a family trying to find alternative care. Beeches was very understanding regarding previous issues we had faced and we were assured that the transition for my husband would be made as easy as it possibly could. Staff were very welcoming and management very reassuring on our visit, any concerns we have come across have been dealt with by staff or management. On the whole we are pleased with the care my husband is receiving.

My mother has Alzheimers and came to the Beeches in March 2023. She has always been treated with kindness, patience and dignity by all staff. I have visited most days, at different times, and each time I have, my mum is clean, comfortable and well presented. Even now, when she has been in bed since May, and very frail, staff always give her wonderful care and attention. Her needs have been changed as her condition has deteriorated and I have always been listened to and consulted. Wonderful place. Food + surroundings lovely too and cannot praise the new manager enough for his approachable style and for listening.

It is never an easy decision to decide that an ageing parent needs to go into residential care. Mu was really struggling on her own, and she made it easier for us by accepting that she could no longer manage alone. In the three years she has been living at The Beeches, I can honestly say that I have never once doubted that she is in the right place. The staff are wonderful - treating mum with respect, care and empathy. She is so well cared for, always clean, and comfortable. Thank you everyone at The Beeches.

I'm a weekly visitor to 'The Beeches' to visit my friend's mother. I also attended a 60s BBQ on a Saturday in July and all the residents I spoke to and my friend's mother, really enjoyed the experience. There's a family atmosphere and the staff go the extra mile for those they care for! I regularly recommend that friends check out the Beeches if they feel care is required for a family member. A big 'well done' to the team!

My friend has been well-settled since being here. She has increased appetite and sleeps fairly well. Staff are very good with targeted care and always encourage her to partake in different activities. Staff always have played a pivotal role in providing patient-centred approach to my friend. Staff always facilitate her by using her own choices of soup, and give her enough time to make her own choices towards choosing what to eat. She has a good rapport with most of the staff.

On behalf of our family, we are very grateful for The Beeches. Our Mum has been a resident for over two years. During that time all of her healthcare needs have been handled with dignity and respect. From the laundry lady, chefs, to all of the supporting staff, team leaders, and managers, we can not thank you enough for the wonderful care shown, on a daily basis, to out mother, and to the extended family.

Our parents joined the Beeches for respite care, but subsequent hospital visits have necessitated a longer stay. They have been looked after amazingly well and all of the care staff have not only been totally professional, but have also made the Beeches feel like a home from home.

We would not hesitate to recommend the Beeches to anyone looking for a safe, caring home.

My mother has had a tricky 12 months with losing her balance and confidence in walking. The Beeches care staff have magnificently handled all these low times, including falls and regular ambulance/paramedic intervention, through to rehabilitation and recovery which has been much appreciated.

My mother is very well cared for and my visits are always plasant. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
My mother says the food is "disgusting" - but she is a very fussy eater. She claims there is "nothing to do" but I think she doesn't choose to join in and give things a try. I feel this is a mix of personality and dementia.

My feelings are that she is very well looked after, she and her room are always clean and tidy.

Lovely, friendly and caring staff. Always fully manned. Same staff, low turnover, clean rooms and Mum is well cared for. Would be nice to be updated on trips as Mum has dementia and doesn't always remember. Very happy with the home.

Generally the home appears to be well-run. It would be improved if more interaction was possible between residents and care staff. Maybe employ people to talk to residents. Boredom is a problem.
