My brother and I found the care home to be of a very high standard - well organised with good facilities and caring staff. Management seemed very thorough and genuinely caring. I work in a care home myself and couldn't help but judge Eastlake against my workplace, and it definitely came out favourably for Eastlake.

My father was well cared for in an understanding and supportive home. The team are amazing, and their care is outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, and the management at end-of-life support was all you could hope for.

My friend had been in Eastlake for nearly 2 years with dementia. She had other major health issues. The staff were amazing and always kind to both her and me. They always took care to keep the residents engaged and interested with daily activities. She was taken into hospital on 7th May after suffering breathing difficulties (not covid) an underlying problem with her heart. The staff phoned hospital regularly to see how she was and kept in touch with me. Sadly she passed away on 21st May and the aftercare has been exemplary. Couldn't praise the manager and all her staff enough.

My aunt has been a resident of Eastlake for nearly a year now and is very happy there. Sadly, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's towards the end of last year, and the care, support, and kindness she receives from all the staff and carers is wonderful and of great comfort to her immediate family. We thank you all so much for keeping her safe.

Eastlake is a lovely warm environment for those staying and visiting. We have found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and caring. The gardens are amazing. Well kept and with plenty of space to sit and relax or to have a walk around. Mum is happy and enjoying life at Eastlake. She especially enjoys the dancing.

Although very reluctant to move into a Care Home my mother has adapted very well, at least partly due to the comfortable atmosphere and the cheerful and kindly staff. I too found the administration staff most kind and helpful and it made the transition very easy. I feel that I can rely on the staff to deal with most issues that arise and that my mother's health and well-being is being closely supervised. Thank you.

Eastlake has always looked after my mother with great care - she gets very anxious and the recent Covid outbreak increased this. However, the response from everyone at Eastlake was to care for her gently and to find a way to help her get back to enjoying her time there. We thank them all.

The staff have managed very well during these last two, difficult years.

My only problem is when the resident has an infection there is no feedback when it has cleared. Never put in place the resident's dietary needs. During the last ten years, I feel that the manager has had no input or given support. Not sure about activities since activities staff are no longer there. How can carers have time for activities and duties?

I visit my mother as an essential caregiver 3 times a week, therefore I am in the home for between 4 to 5 hours each visit, this has given me the opportunity to provide a balanced view on standards. Overall, I have found standards to be very good, if I have had concerns regarding Mum's welfare they have been taken on board and addressed. Communication with management is very good, they have understood the difficulties both Mum and I have faced and been sympathetic and helpful. The staff as a whole are lovely and I can see they care very much about all the residents.

Until very recently, my 94-year-old mother was a resident at Eastlake. Sadly, she passed away whilst in their care. I cannot praise the carers at Eastlake highly enough. Their compassion, their willingness to always help Mum with her trivial demands and their smiling attention to her, round the clock, was nothing short of heroic. I want to especially mention two people who made her time at Eastlake as comfortable as possible. Firstly, one gentleman, of whom she was extremely fond and who looked after her and her little garden outside her room with such care. And secondly, one lady, who was such a good friend to me and my sister-in-law who visited regularly. Nothing was too much trouble. We were always greeted with a smile and a coffee, and we will miss her friendship. If you are looking for the best possible care home for your loved one, then you need to look no further. Thank you, Eastlake, for everything.

As only a visitor to this excellent home, I have always been impressed with their treatment of myself, but especially my sister. Under difficult circumstances this year due to Covid restrictions, I have never felt in the way or that I was causing them extra work. I have not seen her room or know what the food is like, but my sister is always cleanly presented, helped to the visiting room and happy with her carers.

My mother has been a resident at Eastlake for nearly six months. The staff have been consistently approachable and sympathetic to the family and they are all lovely and gentle with my mother, who has dementia and is physically disabled, so she is not the easiest of residents. At the beginning, they did their best to make her room pretty and pleasant, with as many of her photos and other things as they could fit in! They bought extra iPads to enable skype conversations with the families to replace the covid-disallowed visiting and it made an enormous difference for her to be able to see our faces. The staff are genuinely good people, kind and patient with my mother's frequent bewilderment. The manager has shown great responsiveness to our family's distress, and flexibility in being as accommodating as the rules allow, and I have greatly appreciated that personally, feeling supported by her knowledge and understanding manner.

Eastlake Godalming. I visited Eastlake in February with a view to taking up a place there for myself. I had a vision of what such a Care Home would be like, but boy was I wrong. I had expected rather drab, cold with few staff; in all, a bit miserable. But what I found was so different. Bright, clean communal areas and newly decorated where it had been deemed necessary; neat rooms with good facilities. The staff were unbelievably warm and friendly and plenty of them. I hope to move there one day soon and my biggest concern is how I might keep my waist line-down with such excellent food (judging by the menu) and with lots of foody treats. Well done Eastlake, keep it up!

One of the loveliest, most wonderful care homes I have encountered. I spent months trying to find somewhere suitable for my 93-year-old mother, visiting many, many care homes in the process. None seemed quite right, but the moment I walked into Eastlake, I knew I had found somewhere very special.

The staff are so genuinely caring and approachable and it really does feel like a very large family! Mum is so happy and has blossomed in their care. I would encourage anyone who is searching for a home to look no further than Eastlake.

My mother has been a resident of Eastlake for over 3 years and the overall standard of care has been excellent from the outset. She has dementia and the quality of ongoing care has enabled her to be supported with compassion as her condition has progressed. Since the Covid-19 outbreak, all staff at Eastlake have excelled themselves through their empathetic and committed care, often putting the wellbeing of residents before concerns for their own families. Eastlake's innovative approach to enabling visits where covid-safe has been a huge boon to my mother and family alike, enabling us to maintain contact and provide stimulus to try to arrest her cognitive decline.

Mum seems very happy at Eastlake. Mum is very hard of hearing so difficult for her to hear when I video call but she seems very happy when I can see her on Eastlake’s Facebook page. Mum always says all the staff are lovely and the food is really good. Mum is very sociable and it’s lovely to see her interacting with other residents. I am very impressed with the staff who always know how mum is without having to refer to someone else. It seems like an extended family. I am very happy with the care mum is receiving at Eastlake and would certainly recommend Eastlake. We are very lucky.
