Eastlake in Godalming is situated close to the South Downs National Park. The home continues to welcome new residents and provides residential and dementia care for up to 52 residents in homely and comfortable single ensuite rooms.

Eastlake is operated by Anchor, they are England's largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for people over the age of 55 years with more than 60 years of experience in the sector.

They work with customers and their loved ones to create detailed care plans, ensuring individual health and care needs are continually met. Priding themselves on their dementia care, staff are provided with on-going training so that their approach always reflects best practice, working hard to get to know customers and build relationships.

I was warmly welcomed for my first visit and taken personally to see my friend. Several staff offered me tea or coffee. At the end of my visit I met the manager. I was impressed by her, the care and quality of staff I met and the cleanliness and warmth of the home.

The resident has been in the care home for nearly two years. She was 98 at the end of August. She has been troubled with stomach pains for some time and the hospital thinks there is a bowel blockage. She is now undergoing end of life care and is being lovingly monitored by the staff of the care home.
We could not ask for more.

Our mother felt comfortable, secure and safe. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff very caring. As a family, we all felt very welcome any time we visited. Thank you for making her last 6 years such a warm and pleasant experience.

Bought Mum in for respite care (she has Alzheimer's) a week ago. Mum very resistant to staying and in a week would like to stay forever! We are all very surprised and pleased. The staff have all been very supportive, friendly and happy. Lovely place.

My mother is very settled and content here. I am fortunate that I live nearby so can add additional support as I see her regularly. I am very satisfied with the care she receives. The staff and team leaders are very kind and patient. They are also very professional and keep me informed about mum's welfare

I have been very impressed with all the staff at Eastlake, including management, admin and carer staff. From making the initial arrangements, settling my grandma in and caring for and looking after her over the last year. She has been very comfortable and happy at Eastlake, and it has been good to know
that she is safe and being well looked after.
I have appreciated how easy it has been to communicate with everyone that works at Eastlake, with calls when needed, advice and help, and putting anything in place that my grandma needed.
The staff were always caring towards my grandma. She enjoyed the food and the variety of activities that were available. The decor is light and welcoming and there is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the home.

Eastlake's staff are what makes it such a delight to go to, to visit my Mum.
The place is also spotlessly clean and never smells like some my Mum was in before.
There is always a positive 'can do' response from everyone when Mum requests anything or a request from her family.
I would like Mum to
do more activities which are abundant but appreciate that she can be strong-willed and refuse.

We have been so impressed by the care my mother has received here over the past 6 months. The home is well organised and residents are actively encouraged to join relevant activities, promoting inclusion. Liaison with GP and other services is very good, quickly observing and following up on resident's
care/health needs. I am so glad that my Mum is here and she too is happy, appreciating the caring atmosphere. Excellent.

My mother has been at Eastlake for 5 years and we have nothing but praise for the staff and the amenities. Mum is treated with care and dignity. The food is wonderful, there are many interesting activities and we always feel welcome when we come to her 'home'. The presence of cats/dog in the home greatly
assists in the 'homey' feeling and we love this.

Every time I visit my friend at Eastlake she looks calm, happy, clean, well-fed and well-cared for. She tells me the food is excellent and also the carers are very kind. Also, there is plenty of stimulation, which can be sorely lacking in other establishments. Eastlake is, in my opinion, the best care
home for miles.

My 102-year-old mother has been in Eastlake for six years and looks happier and healthier now than she did ten years ago. Eastlake is not the most luxurious or swanky care home I've visited, but it more than makes up for that in the warmth and compassion it's staff give to its residents and the friendly
ambience it creates for residents and their visitors. I thank the whole team every day mum spends there.
