Really impressed with the staff and friendliness of the people who work there. The place is clean and my mother is relaxed there. I thank Eve for her and her staff looking after my mother so well. Sometimes they do visits with the residents and it's great they have a lovely garden to sit in. In the summer they do a great barbecue for all the residents and family. Thanks again Eve and your team xx
My mother-in-law has now been at Ridgemount for around two years, and we have been very happy with the care she receives. The staff are kind, patient, and genuinely care about the residents. Whenever we have had a question or concern, the manager has always taken the time to listen and ensure it is addressed, which gives us confidence and peace of mind. We are really pleased with the choice we made and would happily recommend Ridgemount to any family looking for a caring home for their loved one.
The staff are lovely, although they do not always respond to Mum's call button promptly, which leaves her desperate for the toilet. The management is delightful - always friendly, approachable and caring. The reception staff and finance person are also caring, personable and understanding. I'm very happy with the standard of cleanliness. I don't witness any meals bu Mum is a little disappointed in that area, and also with activities.
Thank you for taking the time to leave Ridgemount a review; your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you also for discussing the call button and food menu with us already. We are pleased that the conversations following this have been positive. Ensuring our residents feel safe, reassured, and...
Since Mum has come into the home over 2 years ago I have noticed an increase in the level of care and assistance. There is always a warm welcome from Sally and Wendy at the reception desk, and all the daily carers I meet are always friendly and seem to make life here for Mum as best they can. All the managers and team leaders are always kind and ask how things are with me as well as doing a great job looking after Mum.
Colin was moved into Ridgemount on the 23/04/26 from hospital. Since then the care and attention has been excellent, all members of staff and management have been very welcoming and attentive to his needs. I would definitely recommend Ridgemount.
Ridgemount is truly a warm, vibrant, and compassionate care home. Every time I visit, I'm struck by how welcoming and uplifting the atmosphere feels. The staff are kind, attentive, and always happy to genuinely help visitors. When I visit they always acknowledge and welcome me and offer me a cup of tea. You feel so relaxed and comfortable in the home. You feel a sense of togetherness when you meet everyone. Finally, they have the most incredible summer bbqs and fetes. I am looking forward to seeing what they have coming up for the residents this year's summer events to bring my family along.
Ridgemount has exceeded our expectations. The care and consideration and respect that's shown to my father is very good. He feels happy and safe and is content to be there. This gives my mother and our family a lot of comfort. Eve, the manager, is excellent, always approachable and helpful with any queries we may have. Her leadership and positivity feeds through to her team, who are very good.
All staff are very helpful and provide excellent care.
My aunt was admitted to Ridgement after a fall and I was concerned about the care homes rating by CQC. However I can only recommend the care of the staff. The home does not smell, it is pleasantly decorated, kept clean. The home manager is amazing, knows immediately who you are visiting and will give you up to date status of your loved one without asking their care team. My aunt enjoys the activities program and is free to go and explore other units. If she strikes up a friendship she is free to socialise when she wants and even have her meals there.
The staff are wonderful - the understanding, calming and fun aspects they bring to the residents lives with dementia are amazing.
My mum is really settled, comfortable and happy at Ridgemount. She has made friends and loves the dedicated staff.I am
very grateful to them.

I have only good things to say about Eve, Maggie, Sally and the whole Ridgemount team. They looked after my auntie Anne so well for the 2 1/2 years she was with them. They not only cared for her, they cared about her. She felt valued and loved and I was only ever happy that I had chosen Ridgemount for her.
Thank you for taking the time to review Ridgemount and we are pleased that you rate our overall experience as excellent. We're glad you are happy with Ridgemount and I will pass your feedback to our team. I'm always happy to discuss feedback to ensure that care and all aspects of day to day life are to the satisfaction of our residents and their loved ones.
My Mum Peggy was cared for at Ridgemount for five years until she sadly passed away in September 2025. In the time she was there, she had the best care we could have asked for. Thank you to Sally and all the team! If anyone is looking to place a loved one in a safe and caring place, look no further.
My friend came to Ridgemount following a stay in hospital. It was a huge change to give up his own place. The staff were extremely welcoming and took us to his lovely, clean, airy room on the first floor. They had considered he liked to watched activities so he overlooks the front. He settled in from that day and is very happy - the food is excellent, fresh and tasty and we can make drinks whenever. Various activities are arranged regularly, which we are welcomed to join. He could not be in a happier place and his welfare is paramount.
After my hip operation I chose Ridgemount for my convalescent care. I spent 2 weeks in Ridgemount and I was extremely pleased with the care and attention that the staff showed me.
Lovely care home, perfect for respite care for my mother-in-law whilst father-in-law was in hospital. She was reluctant to join in with the respite being 90 herself, she described them as old people. She loved to chat with the very friendly staff. We will definitely use Ridgemount again if needed.
The staff have all been very kind and helpful.
It is a great comfort to know Mum is being well looked after.
Thank you for looking after her so well.
Ridgemount has been a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike, for which I really do thank you from the bottom of my heart. Aren't the staff great with the way they handle residents are given so much care and attention, and they give their time to each resident, such a valuable commodity. My friend who was a resident must have arrived Jan or Feb this year, then passed away the first week of October. Though the home is secular, they were extremely tolerant of my friend's Christian beliefs. Outside entertainment was much appreciated. Thank you for allowing me to watch and participate in this aspect.
The management team's approach was amazing and the staff are very professional. I am very impressed with the whole team.
Exceptional care, warm friendly reception staff. The staff keep you updated re the resident's care plan. The food is good the chef comes and speaks to the residents and asks them how the food is. The staff have a caring approach they tell the residents their names and talk them through things. Warm friendly home that treats people with dignity and respect and most importantly kindness.
