Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My father is very well looked after at the home - I no longer worry about his welfare as he is always well fed and cared for. The management and staff are excellent. I recently attended a Father's Day BBQ - it was very popular with both residents and relatives and I look forward to attending similar
events.

Amazed at all staff employed in the home are lovely. My mother had vastly improved in the short while she's been with you and feels safe and looked after. My sisters and I all feel that we have made the right choice. Would recommend to everybody. Please keep it up.

After visiting a number of care homes, we were delighted to find this home. The staff are so friendly and caring and they cannot do enough to help you. Nothing is too much trouble. This also applies to the admin lady who is delightful and extremely efficient.
Residents are all happy and well cared
for.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I am very impressed with the commitment of the carers, always quietly attending to the needs of the residents in a respectful way. I like the layout of the home, with many different seating areas which I feel helps the resident to maintain some feeling of independence. I also like the idea of featured
lunches and I am amazed how much the residents eat on these days and again the interactions with the staff is excellent. I would like to see the common areas decorated as this is where first impressions are made. At the moment "out of date".

This is a clean and friendly home. The staff are very kind and cater for all those that are in respite or residence. I am happy for my husband to stay with them as I know he will be well looked after and also safe which gives me peace of mind when I need a break.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.646)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.646) out of 10 for Walton Park is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 24 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.646 for Walton Park is calculated as follows: ( (210 Excellents x 5) + (59 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) + (3 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 285 Ratings = 4.646
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Walton Park is based on 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 registered maximum number of service users is 13, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

I am incredibly proud to be manager at Walton Park, it is a role which allows me to have a positive impact and provide quality care to residents whilst also giving comfort and well-needed rest to families.

Being a manager in this setting requires empathy and compassion alongside exceptional organisation. As well as supporting families and residents, I am always here to be supportive toward staff.

I enjoy that no two days are the same and that our work can bring people peace and joy. The best part of each day is when a resident gives me a big smile.
