The first meeting I had with the Client Liaison Manager was lovely. We were looking for respite care for my mother, and she was very kind and helpful. She sorted out the transfer from the hospital, and she and all the staff made Mum feel welcome and supported from day one. The carers were really very kind and helped Mum get more confident as the weeks went on.

Mum and Dad were reluctant to consider living in a care home, but after three weeks of respite care at Banstead, they decided to stay.
The staff are very welcoming, and Mum and Dad are treated with care and respect. They enjoy the activities and entertainment, and there is always someone to help if they needed assistance. The home is bright and airy with spacious communal areas, and the rooms are well equipped and well maintained.
As a relative, I am always informed by staff if there are any concerns and am kept up to date with any changes in care needs or medical situations.

I would certainly recommend Signature at Banstead to anyone considering care in the region.

Mum started her stay here at Banstead just two years ago. She moved into Assisted Living first, but when it became obvious she really needed to be in the Dementia Section, they dealt with moving her across in such a kind and professional way I don't think Mum even noticed. I have only ever known the staff throughout Signature to be friendly and helpful at all times, and if there is ever anything that needs addressing, it is discussed with me and dealt with immediately. The whole team at Signature are always so friendly. You are always greeted with a smile and most often, a chat. The residents are looked after with such kindness, and they are kept busy and entertained during both mornings and afternoons. I really and truly cannot find fault. They're just a great team doing a very hard job, and they do it very well.

Although I have stated that my review relates to February 2023, my mother has been with the home prior to being taken over by Signature for the past nine years. They have been a great service provider throughout the entire time and have coped very well with the transition.

My dad moved in at the end of January, five days before his birthday. He settled extremely quickly and was so happy they made a huge fuss about his birthday. The staff are all very caring and friendly, and they run a large selection of activities to keep the residents busy and active, both physically and mentally. My dad feels safe and listened to and is enjoying still having independence. I also need to add that on my first visit, I was popping in for a brochure. I didn’t expect to be shown around with no appointment, and this really impressed me as I felt that they had nothing to hide and ‘prepare.’ Thank you to the manager for the easy and smooth transition you oversaw.

My mother (96) had a traumatic fall and was in the hospital for six weeks. She then moved directly into Signature at Banstead. She settled very well and was made welcome by all the wonderful, caring staff. The communication is excellent, and I always feel well-informed. There are many choices of activities to get involved in and regular live music to enjoy. I love that the residents also have trips out in the minibus. My mother has now moved into the reminiscence side, and again, the staff made the transition seamless.

The dedicated staff are excellent. I visit regularly, and they are always so friendly, kind and hard-working. Signature gives my family the peace of mind to know our mother is well cared for in a clean, safe, wonderful place, and her care is second to none.

For the last six years, she has been very well looked after by Signature Banstead.
The home dealt with the pandemic very well. The staff, especially in the reminiscence section under the supervision of one lady who looks after her on a daily basis, go the extra mile to make her stay comfortable and keep us informed of any developments, big or small.

Thank you all for doing an excellent job, especially the main lady and her team.

My parents have been at Signature at Banstead since September 2021. The care they have received has been excellent. The staff are kind and caring without being condescending; they look after my dad's personal care in a way that he still keeps his dignity. Being a very proud and private person, this has been very important to him. As my mum's dementia progresses, the patience she is shown is reassuring for her. I am a regular visitor to Signature, and without fail, the atmosphere is friendly, homely and cheerful. Thank you for looking after my parents so well.

My mother came to the home after living independently for ten years after the death of my father.
It was a big change for her, but the staff responded brilliantly and helped her to transition to her new environment. Very soon she had made new friends and started to join in all the activities. Importantly she started eating more regularly and loves her new home. The staff have been wonderful, and the home is kept to an immaculate standard.

This is a great result for Mum, but also for the rest of the family, who knows she is happy and receiving the best of care in a lovely home.

From the start in November, my partner has been made very welcome, has been looked after extremely well and is very happy to be in the signature care home.

I have been volunteering at Banstead for over ten years, firstly as an owned community, and more recently since the Signature takeover.
The team, staff and environment are exceptional, and I have always been incredibly impressed by the way the residents are looked after and the level of commitment shown by all members of staff to provide them with the best home environment possible.
The activities at Banstead are one thing that I always hear people talking about in such high regard, with a programme that is both varied, well-delivered and thoughtfully created.

One thing that has always been apparent is that residents always seem to be smiling. That, for me, says everything.

My father moved in at the end of May 22 - the moving-in process was conducted efficiently by Signature, and the flat was in very good condition upon moving in. The standard of accommodation would be hard to beat, and the staff very proactive and friendly. There are plenty of activities if a resident wishes to participate. The building itself is in very good condition and always kept spotlessly clean. The advantage of Banstead is that it's possible to walk to the high street, which for my father has been very advantageous. I would be hard-pressed to think of what else the community could offer.

My mother-in-law required respite care after a fall. Having broken vertebrae and shoulder meant mobility was an issue. Right from the start, we were confident that the nursing/handling provided was of a high standard. The complication of early-stage dementia and trauma from recently losing her husband meant that my mother-in-law has fluctuating issues, sometimes being confused and distressed and other times appearing to be as we remember her. All this was handled in a no-fuss way that put my mother-in-law and us at ease. Thank you so much for your kindness and care, which was excellent.

Both my parents recently moved into Signature at Banstead - and the team have been always been helpful in answering any Q's we have had, and have always tried to do "that little bit extra" which is greatly appreciated.
Once they moved in the care provided that I have seen is always cheerfully done, with a willingness to undertake anything more needed.

Mum had a birthday recently - and she had a card, birthday cake, and balloons all laid on by the team - again just little things that make it more pleasant.

My cousin has come to Signature at Banstead after a rather difficult time in hospital because of staff shortages and the Covid-19 restrictions. Now, after three months, she is at last beginning to settle into her chosen change of lifestyle. The home is superb and my cousin is now realising the benefits of being well cared for with the responsibilities of day to day living having been taken over by everyone in the team which you aptly call the community. As she now begins to feel more settled, I'm sure she will appreciate and be more grateful for this newfound warmth and security that was so lacking when living in her own home alone whilst trying to cope with extremely poor mobility.
