My uncle has been at Signature in Banstead for nearly three months now and I've been impressed with how caring and attentive the staff have been. On my second Respite stay, I had a good experience. With the new management, it was much better than previously. I was well looked after and treated with kindness by all the staff. Any questions I asked were always answered satisfactorily. The only point I would like to make is the daily tidying of the room. However, overall, I will stay there again in the near future.

Today, I arrived at Signature at Banstead with an old schol friend of Mum's. Lavendar Lane was filled with joy and energy - a room full of residents and staff enjoying, an afternoon of singing and dancing, all interacting with each other. Mum's friend was amazed and got quite emotional - in her words 'never seen a care home like it'. Personally, I know this on one of the many brilliant events that takes place here. My mum is having an amazing time - such a different person to the one she was in her flat. We realise now that she felt unsafe and sometimes lonely. Here she is thriving - she is so well cared for, stimulated and feels safe. It makes my heart sing. Thank you to Becka and her wonderful team.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for sharing such a beautiful and moving review. Reading your words truly made our own hearts sing here at Signature at Banstead!
We are so absolutely delighted to hear how much your mum's friend was touched by the energy, singing, and dancing on...
One person has gone above and beyond the requirements of my mother.
We are absolutely thrilled to hear that the overall process has been exceptional for you both and that our team went above and beyond to support your mother.

My mum came to Signature in April 2024. The staff have looked after my mum very well. They have great activities here that my mum enjoyed. They taken them on outings too. They treated us with great respect and dignity when my mum sadly passed away recently and honoured her in a lovely. All in all a good care home.
We are so pleased to hear that she enjoyed the activities and outings we offer; creating those meaningful moments is at the heart of what we do. Most importantly,...
Our dad has a stroke which left him unable to live alone. He has been here for 1 year now and it's comforting to know he is safe, happy and very well cared for. The carers are so helpful and supportive and dad is very happy with the care they give him. His room is lovely, with pictures of all the family and we are very happy we chose Signature at Banstead.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful review. It is heartening to hear that your Dad has settled so well with us over the past year.
We understand how challenging the transition to care can be, especially following a stroke, so it brings our whole team great comfort to...
My mother has been cared for by Signature for almost 3 years now. All her wishes have been listened to and acted upon. It is not easy taking care of my mother, in bed for almost 2 years, but she has been treated with dignity by everyone. From the reception to the manager of the home, all know my mother, which shows people care. Whenever I visit, the carers are with my mother, I see them taking time with her even when communication has become increasingly difficult. Signature at Banstead is a quality care home, and I thank all the staff who work there.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your heartfelt experience regarding your mother's care over the last three years.
We are deeply moved to hear that our commitment to treating her with dignity and respect has been so evident to you, especially as her care needs have become more...
Did not get much opportunity to explore Banstead due to poor weather but shops and facilities seemed close.
My only query was regarding the TV channels available to me but I am sure this could have been sorted if I had been staying on for any time beyond the two week respite period.
I now need to decide do I move to Banstead to be near my daughter and her family, or do I find somewhere in my home area of Dorset where a similar standard of care should be slightly cheaper.
We are so pleased to hear that you quickly felt part of the community and enjoyed the entertainment and activities on offer. Our team works hard to create a welcoming and inclusive environment...
My Dad was made to feel very welcome safe and comfortable during his 2 week . He amazed me how quickly he adapted and settled . That is due to the care kindness and fantastic meals , facilities and entertainment
Thank you
I hope he will be back with you again

The quality of the surroundings and facilities at Banstead are reflected in the cost and we were originally told that fees would rise on average by around 5%. However, in reality, they have gone up by 17.5% in just two years and this is something that potential residents need to bear in mind.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that your mum enjoys the friendly staff, food, and surroundings, and appreciate your recognition of the team. We are sorry to learn of your concerns regarding the recent activity programme and communication about events....
Establishment, we found the staff to be kind and helpful.

We work together to provide the best experiences for both our residents and family members and I will pass on your kind comments to the team. We are so glad that we could assist with your post operative care and do hope that you'll come in for a visit sometime!
I have been very happy here. Recuperating follow my knee operation. Staff have been supportive, and the facilities have been good. I have felt safe and well looked after.
We are so glad to hear of your positive experience during your respite stay. As a team, we work together to provide the best experiences for both our residents and family members. We are happy to hear that you felt safe and supported here with us and that we could assist with your recovery from knee surgery. We do hope you'll come in for a visit sometime!
Some of the Signature staff are just amazing and all of them are very good. The care and support our mum received was wonderful and some of the staff go way beyond their job role. Their welcoming smiles, demonstrable love and kindness gave us enormous solace as mum's condition deteriorated and she finally succumbed to that awful illness in July 2025. I heartily recommend Banstead Signature.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Signature at Banstead. Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your beloved mum. We feel truly privileged to have been part of her journey and to have supported both her and your family during her time with us. It means...
Finally we have found a 'home' for dad. We lost mum in July 2023 and dad, who was fit as a fiddle, driving, playing bowls and adjusting to a life without his soulmate, had a stroke out of the blue. His left side has been affected, leaving him unable to walk which of course has turned his life upside down! Signature of Banstead is the 3rd Carehome placement we have tried since dad came out of hospital and we can at last see the dad we had before his stroke. He has been there just under a week and already he looks healthier, bright eyed and chats to anyone and everyone! The care team are wonderful, always stopping to say hello, have a little chat or simply a wave and a smile - all this means so much to residents, especially when settling into somewhere new. Dad has a friend he sits with at mealtimes everyday and it is wonderful to see him chatting at the dining table. Signature of Banstead have given my dad a future without mum, it's great to see him smiling again.
Thank you for your email and for your glowing 5 star review. At Signature at Banstead our ultimate goal is to provide the best possible level of care we can. From our carers and activities team, we strive to achieve a social and comfortable community our residents can call home. We are so happy to see the improvements made by your Dad. See you again next time you are visiting.
The staff when I visited were always friendly, kind and caring. The home feels very welcoming and everything is clean and well maintained. The Bistro is a lovely area to sit and chat and have a drink.
My mother enjoyed various activities particularly the exercise groups.
We are so glad to hear of your mum's positive experience of her respite stay and are thankful for your kind comments. As a team, we work together to provide the best experiences for both our residents and family members. Here at Signature at Banstead we encourage our residents to carry out their...

Meet the Team (7)

I'm proud to be the Registered Manager at Signature at Banstead, bringing over 15 years' experience in health and social care. I began my career in 2010 supporting adults with learning disabilities, progressing to Deputy Manager with the same organisation. I then helped establish two children's residential services before moving into elderly care as a Peripatetic Crisis Manager, where I focused on turning around underperforming services and driving service improvements.
I later joined Shaw Healthcare as Deputy Manager and progressed to my first Registered Manager role, successfully leading a service turnaround. In recognition of this work, I received the Outstanding Management Achievement Award at Sure Healthcare's National Star Awards.
Today, at Signature at Banstead, I'm committed to creating a warm, welcoming home where residents feel valued, families feel reassured, and our team is empowered to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.

As the Client Liaison Manager at Signature at Banstead, I’m thrilled to welcome new residents and showcase our high-quality care and accommodation to the community. With a passion for building meaningful relationships, I take pride in being the first point of contact, offering clear guidance, answering questions, and showcasing the warmth and vibrancy of our luxury care home in Banstead.

I began my career in care in 2013 at Signature at Banstead as a Care Assistant and have since progressed through senior roles, including Reminiscence Coordinator and Dementia Care Manager. For five years, I led our Dementia Community, supporting an exceptional team to deliver purposeful, meaningful activities that promote both mental and physical well-being. It is incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact this has on our residents every day.
Since November 2023, I have been Deputy Manager, leading the wider team and supporting the General Manager in all clinical matters. My focus is on ensuring the home operates to the highest standards and delivers exceptional care. I am proud to be part of a stable and dedicated management team and look forward to continuing my journey at Banstead.

I’m Sumitha, Clinical Services Manager at Banstead with over 26 years of clinical experience in Acute and nursing home settings, holding qualifications in general, medical, surgical, paediatric, psychiatric, obstetric and community nursing. I’ve earned a State Award of Merit in Medical and Surgical Nursing and completed post-graduation in Gerontological Nursing and End of Life care in Ireland. Passionate about elderly care, I’ve worked in India, Malaysia, Ireland, and the UK, specialising in Acute stroke units. My goal is to provide dignified care to elderly residents, ensuring loved ones’ peace of mind. Progressing into management, I now mentor and empower large teams. I feel privileged to work for Signature, where the values of the organisation align with my own.

I am passionate about bringing warmth, kindness, and exceptional hospitality to care home life. As the Hospitality Manager at Signature Banstead, I enjoy creating experiences that enrich residents' daily lives while supporting my team to deliver outstanding service. With many years of leadership experience in hospitality, I believe the little things often make the biggest difference. I am currently studying towards my Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care as I continue to develop my career in the care sector.

Before joining Signature, I was Head of an Administration Department at an umbrella payroll company, where I led a small team and managed the day-to-day operations of the department. My career has predominantly been within the finance sector, where I have held leadership roles across a range of administrative functions, including company secretarial and compliance.
Although my background is in finance and administration, I have always been drawn to the care sector. Joining Signature as a receptionist gave me the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of life within the Home, develop my understanding of the care industry, and build a rewarding long-term career with Signature. I have enjoyed developing my knowledge and skills within the sector and am proud to be part of a team that is committed to delivering exceptional care and support to our residents.

I am a registered nurse with many years of experience working in the NHS and care homes across the UK. My career in social care began at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, where I had the privilege of caring for the Chelsea Pensioners. Looking after the country’s ex-servicemen was a truly rewarding experience and inspired me to continue my career in health and social care. During my time there, I worked as a Senior Nurse with responsibilities for training and quality assurance. I was also honoured to receive the Royal College of Nursing BAME Rising Star Award in recognition of my work during the COVID-19 pandemic. I went on to work as Deputy Manager at Signature at Coombe Hill Manor before returning to support veterans at the Royal Star & Garter as a Clinical Educator. Since then, I have held a range of roles in clinical education, quality assurance, and clinical management before returning to Signature at Banstead. I am also a Florence Nightingale Foundation Scholar and one of the first recipients of the Social Care Management and Leadership Programme. These experiences have helped me grow as a leader and strengthened my commitment to delivering high-quality care. I am passionate about delivering outstanding care, supporting my colleagues, and making a positive difference in the lives of the people we care for.
