The client liaison manager is an outstanding member of the team here - I have known her in a professional capacity for nearly 10 years while I have been searching for care initially for my twin sister and more recently for myself; throughout this time she has done her job with enthusiasm, loyalty, dedication and courtesy and throughout her interpersonal skills are second to none. She is totally reliable and 100% trustworthy, in fact - she simply is Guildford House.
The team here are immensely lucky to have located her, appointed her and made the job so attractive that she is still here through three changes of name and all the immense amount of hard work it has meant for her personally.
Throughout my personal working life with senior management roles in the NHS I have never come across anyone whose management skills match my own and I truly hope that when she retires, there will be a Guildford House who welcomes her with open arms ready and willing to give her the care she has enabled so many here to enjoy - including my twin sister and myself as a recent new resident.
She has a buoyant sense of humour, is shrewd, with a sense of justice, is totally honourable, dedicated and works far beyond the call of duty. If our numbers are now reaching undreamt of heights, all is due to the client liaison manager and her ability to lead a team so brilliantly.
Why she has not been head-hunted by another care company watching our success from afar, is a constant source of mystery to me but thank goodness for us that she chooses to stay.

When her salary is reviewed, she deserves a salary increase which lures her into staying here to the end of her working life and certainly, you should make your gratitude known to her every way that you can.

Recommend through a friend for respite care. This is my first experience of a care/nursing home and it has been 5 stars! More like a hotel. All the staff address my husband by name and with a very personal touch. I have felt relaxed about him being there. I will not hesitate to book a break again and have marked it for any further needs I may have for myself!

Excellent nursing and carer care (especially 'end of life').
Clearly the professionals know what they are doing.
Our 'guest' was very well looked after.
Lucky - but sourced a room quickly.

We have nothing but praise for Guildford House.

Food seems to have dropped off slightly e.g cakes. Choice in bistro dropped considerably. My father is a fairly difficult resident and some carers are better at dealing with him than others (the more mature the better). I think the activities staff are first rate. Nursing staff excellent. Sometimes feel number of carers to residents ratio could be higher, and sometimes a bit of a wait particularly at busy times like getting up in the morning. Do think it is very expensive. Overall happy with the service provided though.

This was my wife's first experience of respite care - to give her a treat and me a rest. Both aims were more than fulfilled. When I asked her (in private) how she found Guildford House, I expected the answer, "Yes, it was fine." So when she replied, "It's gorgeous here," I was hugely reassured.

The place buzzes with activity and has met my wife's needs. The staff are lovely and couldn't be more helpful. Thank you from both of us!

We attended the family bing evening at the Guildford House Care Home and it was great. The events staff always deliver fun and interesting events that help to engage families and create a welcoming community/family spirit. My mother spent two and a half years at Guildford House, she passed away on 8/8/2023. She felt safe, cared for and happy to be there, from her initial welcome to her last day. The staff were kind, attentive and responsive, and would even pop in to see her when they had time, even if not called. I cannot recommend Guildford House highly enough. From reception, to admin, to care, they are all great.

I visited for 171 consecutive days at different times of the day and evening... and at all times, my father was in immaculate condition. The care is exceptional. The whole 1st-floor team of carers, nurses, cleaners and handymen are tip-top. I can not thank them enough. They treated my father with the utmost respect, used charm and humour to match his and generally were beyond patient and loving.
After visiting several homes, I found the person 1st helping me to be brilliant, and it was the only one that didn't smell... ever.
The place is full of life and joy thanks to the amazing entertainment team, who work so, so hard and always have a smile and a new novel idea to entertain.
Great sweeping entrance hall and clever use of bending corridors to stop it from looking like a hospital.
Onside physio blew all my expectations away by getting my father to walk after three months in a hospital bed.

100 out of 100.

My wife is in her eighties and, for some time, has suffered from Alzheimer's and incontinence. During the early stage of her illness, she wanted to stay at home, and we employed carers in the early morning at midday and in the evening to look after her. She gradually grew worse until finally, in August 2022, the carers could no longer cope with her problems and departed, leaving us to get an ambulance, but they refused to come. We were stunned. I visited "Signature" recently and was very impressed. I phoned them, and they replied, "give us half an hour, and we will have a room ready for her". After a quick check, she was taken to the dementia ward as she can no longer look after herself. In a few moments, she was in bed and in an attractive room surrounded by nurses and carers. She made steady progress. The nursing was excellent, and her carer was always keen to tell me of my wife's progress. She could not have had better care or attention. There were thirty carers in the dementia ward, attended by three nurses and about twelve carers. By comparison with the main part of the building, where there was a lot of activity, the dementia ward was a very calm area without pressure or stress. Most of the patients spent a lot of the day asleep whilst others listened to music or sang songs they remembered. Some, who were capable, went to places of interest in the minibus. At meal times, patients in wheelchairs went in first to a pleasant dining room and well-planned meals. Those who could no longer feed themselves were fed by a carer. Individual preferences were always noted and considered. For my wife and her time at

2Signature" was a very successful and enlightening experience.

Dad has been there for just over a year, and it is the right place for him now. It took him a while to integrate into the new way of life, but the staff are very good at "encouraging" residents to join in the many and varied activities. All aspects of the home are very good, and all the staff really care.

My lifelong friend has recently moved to the home, and I have visited on a few occasions so far. I have been impressed by the great facilities and genuinely friendly staff who I have met. My friend can be quite difficult to please, but he has really settled into his new home and reports he is being very well looked after.

Since having my grandma at Signature, she has settled and adapted to a different life, and this is with thanks to your amazing staff. We received kindness and amazing nursing and food. My husband was in the home with dementia, and I was able to go with him. I stayed until he died - everything was very professional and brilliant. He was looked after 24/7. I was able to go with him and stayed by his side until he died. I stayed for a further two weeks afterwards to get used to my new circumstances. I did go home but seriously thought about going back myself as I am 75.

When it became clear that my wife needed residential care, a friend recommended Signature at Guildford. I am very glad he did, as both my wife and I are incredibly happy with the care she is receiving. The building is beautifully laid out and very comfortable, but it is the staff who make Signature so special. They are very attentive and appear to have as much time as my wife needs. They are cheerful all the time, and nothing they are asked to do seems too difficult.

There are a number of customer-facing organisations that could learn a lot from the Signature philosophy, and I would confidently recommend them to anyone.

My mum had been reluctant to move into a care home at first, but the staff were so kind and helpful she settled in quickly. All the staff went out of their way to explain things and to make her feel supported and welcome. The facilities are just what she needed with sufficient social activities, a lovely restaurant and peace and quiet in her room when she needs it. I feel confident she is safe and well and that she will enjoy living there.
