Alfriston Court Care Home

My mother has settled in extremely well and is very happy here. She has nothing but praise for the staff and says they are all kind and caring. She says the food is excellent and constantly proclaims how lucky she is to be looked after in the equivalent of a 5* hotel!

Very helpful, friendly staff. I would certainly recommend Alfriston Court to anyone who was wanting a home.

Due to the caring, professional staff, my mother settled in here really quickly, and happy and content. There are always activities for the residents to take part in if they wish to do so. The staff are respectful, friendly and helpful. They are very welcoming to visitors and residents' family members and always have time to listen to any concerns. I am very happy to recommend this home.

The only time I wish to bring to light was that my mother took very ill on a Friday night and because the local GP had not written an end of life care package up, my daughter had to drive across country late at night for the prescription.

The residents often have entertainment and are often busy with activities. I couldn't wish for a nicer care home for my mother.

My mother-in-law [Mum] has been cared for and nursed at Alfriston Court now since May 2016. The understanding, care and support given by all staff has been completely genuine throughout that time. The consideration and friendliness by staff for Mum and her family has been openly sincere, making every possible requirement to ensure the best arrangments are made for Mum's quality of life. The significant effort to organise the regular activities by staff for residents is very clear to see by their enjoyment and is much appreciated by all who attend. The staff were so accommodating with giving their time and helpful input for having Mum's 100th Birthday Party event at Alfriston Court for which we will be eternally grateful. It was no surprise that my own family were so pleased that our own Mother was also able to be resident at Alfriston Court for a short period before her passing. Again the staff were so naturally supportive and friendly for her and her particular needs.

Hopefully, they have sharpened up their act since. We won’t be using them again, but at least we learnt not to be over-influenced by nice surroundings!

What a wonderful place to live. Although mum was only resident for 9 wks every aspect of Alfriston Court was excellent. It was second to none. Thank you, everybody.

Fantastic care in a lovely very well run home. Although my mother was only there for 9 weeks after being "fast-tracked" from hospital the care and love given by all the staff was second to none. Their consideration to family and visitors was also exceptional. I hope that I can find somewhere like this if I ever need it!

My father spent his last couple of weeks at this home and I can honestly say that we couldn't have wished for more. He was totally respected and well-cared for as were we each time we visited him. All the staff were so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. We felt as if they were almost family! They allowed us to visit at any time and always asked us what we would like. They were always on-hand, yet totally respected our privacy.

We couldn't have wished for a better place for our dear father/husband/grandfather to spend his last days. Alfriston was a favourite place for him and my mother to visit in better days and we now have good memories of him being in that place as he peacefully left this world with his family around him, which was a huge comfort to us all.

I cannot praise too highly the staff there. Always helpful, always willing, never showing any reluctance to answer my bell 24 hours a day. They are an important assist to you and get 10/10 from me.

The manager and staff are very friendly and supportive.

The home is always clean and beautifully tidy and the manager is always friendly and available to answer any questions.

I can also have peace of mind and not feel guilty about putting her in care, as I found this a very hard choice.

A wonderful care home with the most amazing staff. Such a loving environment and beautiful décor with outstanding views.

There is always a positive welcome and willingness to work together as a team to ensure the best outcome. Staff work happily together to support each resident with their needs. It is well run by the manager who has a 'can do' attitude and a constant wish to achieve the best results at all levels.

My brother has complex needs and requires end of life care - his partner was also nursed here and tenderly cared for in her final days (16/08/17).

Improvements are being made to give social interaction time to those confined by illness to their rooms. This is important for my brother as he gets lonely.

My father has advanced cancer and was unable to maintain a decent quality of life at home. He has been treated 'like royalty' at Alfriston Court and after only one week he is looking and feeling better. The staff are all absolutely lovely and they care for him on every level. The food is fantastic, the chefs are so keen to provide for Dad's every preference. Visiting is a pleasure as we can drop in any time. Dad can have visitors for lunch and four of his nephews and nieces joined him for a lovely lunch. Two are chefs and they are very impressed.

Our first visit which has been most enjoyable. Excellent lunch!

My uncle has only been here a short time but is very happy and realises the care here is exactly what he needs. It actually meets all his needs. Beautiful setting.

We have been extremely satisfied with the super care my mother has been given in the home. She is always very content, happy and her room and always comments on how delicious the food is. We have always found the staff to be very friendly and extremely attentive.
