Mum's care at Prideaux Lodge is excellent. Mum is treated with dignity and respect and the staff are always patient and kind. There are a range of activities to join in with throughout the week as well as special events seasonly. The home is kept clean and there is a real sense of community at prideux

It's a good experience. Out mother needs 24 hour care and receives that from a professional and kind team. Debbie brings joy with her activities and Adela, Rona and Donna with their cooking. Denise has her eye on the ball making sure things run smoothly and our mum seems content and cared for.

This is a WONDERFUL care home!!


My mum has now been at Prideaux Lodge for over 5 years and she absolutely loves it there.


The staff in all areas are so caring and friendly and my rather reserved mum of old has become a new joyous person. She adores her carers and they in turn care for her

so well.


The home itself is lovely, well maintained and absolutely brilliant at putting the physical and mental needs of those with dementia first.


The activities are fun and food superb. Family always get a big welcome.


It is not a large home which is exactly what we wanted, it has a family home feel as well as an actual family feel.


There are regular events that bring all the families together too, as mentioned in a previous comment.

Such a great Care Home, I'm so glad that I was recommended Prideaux Lodge for my mum. The staff, accommodation and overall experience is far superior to alternatives in and around the Bexhill and Eastbourne area. Without exception, the staff at Prideaux Lodge are absolutely wonderful. They are so caring, and treat their residents with such warmth and understanding. They are welcoming to all visitors, and instil an absolute confidence that my mother's needs are being understood and met each day.
As a family,
we feel very fortunate to have found such a tremendous care home for my mother, enabling us to relax in the knowledge that she is in such a caring environment now that it's not possible for her to live on her own any more.

Prideaux Lodge has proved to be the perfect setting for my mother-in-law. It has a very caring, kind, patient staff who are committed to treat each resident as an individual. They encourage them to engage in various activities but are always aware and respectful of their wishes. Prideaux is very welcoming
and truly has a homely feel. Every effort is made to make sure the residents feel that it is their home. The menus are varied, nutritional and cooked freshly on the premises each day as well as being delicious! Nothing is too much trouble for each member of staff who are happy to talk to relatives regarding any concerns they may have about their relatives' wellbeing. I cannot recommend Prideaux Lodge highly enough.

Prideaux Lodge is a lovely, intimate care home of modest size but very well appointed. The staff really could not be better and are courteous and professional at all times. We are regularly kept informed and nothing is too much trouble when making enquiries. All the residents are well cared for and
we feel fortunate to have found such a suitable place for my elderly mother who, we know, is now in very capable hands and safe. Highly recommended.

My mum has been a resident of Prideaux lodge since November 2024, after we decided to move her from her previous home. The staff at Prideaux Lodge are excellent, very caring and take the time to make visitors feel welcome. The senior care team have been excellent at ensuring my mum has all the right
support systems in place. They give you good advice and feedback, and ensure that you are made aware of anything that they feel is important for your loved ones care. My mum has a lovely room looking out over the front car park, mum does regular activities with the great activities coordinator who is always happy to see you. They hold regular events such as summer fetes, arrange visits from local schools and entertainer's. The home has a nice small friendly and home from home design, good garden with large decked area and nice lounge and dining areas. In September my mum had to have a minor operation on her eye lid, the care team were very supportive and assisted my mum with her recovery.

Since mum moved into Prideaux Lodge in May she has received excellent care. Her family are also shown great respect and kindness. The food is wonderful, the carers are always so kind and helpful and it is always so clean and fresh looking. We really can't fault her care at the home.

I cannot rate Prideaux highly enough. Through my work I have contact with a lot of care homes locally and I am always so impressed with the care and kindness of the staff at Prideaux. It's not just a job for them - they clearly care for the residents. The management and team were incredibly responsive
when we needed help, staying beyond their hours to allow Mum to move in during a crisis. I'm so grateful for the support and care provided.
It's such a difficult decision when asking a home to care for your relative. Asking the team at Prideaux to care for my Mum was without doubt the right decision. They helped her settle far better than I ever thought possible.

I cannot praise the team enough at Prideaux Lodge. The kindness of the staff shines through in everything they do - they treat Mum with patience, warmth, and respect. Communication with the family is excellent, and we always feel involved and reassured about Mum's wellbeing. There are a variety of
activities that keep her engaged and bring joy to her days, and it's wonderful to see her enjoying them. Mum is always clean, well presented, and clearly cared for with great attention. Knowing she is safe, happy, and looked after gives our family such peace of mind. I would wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone looking for compassionate dementia care.

Prideaux has provided mum with a friendly, caring and loving environment where individuals are important. The smiling and happy staff regard the residents as family and show that nothing is too much trouble for them.
When activities are provided, such as cooking, gardening or crafts, residents are
encouraged to take part and assisted where needed.
The catering is mindful of the expectations and experiences of an older population and looks tasty!
It has taken a while for mum to settle and adapt to her new surroundings but every effort has been made to help her and support her.

Very well run home. The food is varied and excellent - cakes are homemade, very good. The garden party was well organised, food v good, the sweets were excellent. The staff are well trained, very kind and helpful.

The staff are extremely caring,friendly and supportive.
Prideaux Lodge is kept exceptionally clean at all times and is very homely.
The food is excellent.
I recently attended (9/8/2025)the summer bbq at the home,which was wonderful.
This was a real credit to the manager and her staff for putting
on such a lovely afternoon.
The bbq food and desserts were great,lovely decorations, good atmosphere,live music and a never ending amout of raffle prizes.
The staff worked hard to make it a very successful day.

My grandma stays at Prideaux lodge. Staff are always friendly, and go above and beyond to care for the residents. The home is always clean, there are always different activities for the residents to join in with, as well as fresh cakes baked daily. The food is always varied and different options available.

I am Level 5 Health and Social Care Management qualified. I lead my professional care team in delivering the highest level of care and support for our residents ensuring a person-centred approach is taken.


I feel that maintaining a strong relationship with residents and their relatives and understanding the important contribution that these relationships make lead to the successful running of a care home.


I have worked in the care industry for 16 years and I am very passionate about social care as a whole and ensuring that standards are met across the whole sector.
