Was looking for somewhere for my Mum so that we could get her out of hospital. Prideaux Lodge was recommended to me and I can see why.
It is a beautiful place, very clean, with lovely rooms too. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much.
So far, my Mum has only been there two weeks, but from what I have seen it’s perfect for her.

Cannot praise too highly. Would definitely recommend.

My father moved to Prideaux Lodge in May 2017 and stayed there until hospitalised in June 2018. Unlike most residents, he did not suffer from dementia, so was able to clearly express his feelings about his accommodation and care. He was delighted with his room, the communal areas, the food and the standard of care and had nothing but praise for both carers and management. His views were confirmed by my own experiences when visiting the home and the contacts I had with carers and management.

David thank you very much for your kind words. Your father was definitely a character who is missed both by the staff and residents, especially seeing him do his morning exercises. We are glad that you felt we did a good job and your dad was well looked after.

This is a very pleasant care home. the staff work very hard. Some residents need more attention than others, so we need more staff and fall back on the agency staff. Furthermore, they are trying more regular staff. There is also a nice garden which we can sit in.

Prideaux Lodge is perfect for my mother as there are only a small number of residents which means that the friendly staff have time on their hands to ensure my mother is well looked after. No care homes are ideal places but from the ones that I have seen this is one of the better ones.

My husband took a while to settle as we had not been parted in 65 years of marriage. Once that was overcome he was quite happy, the staff were kind to him and he liked to help with the "wiping up" in the kitchen sometimes (when he was a bit upset- to take his mind off) He enjoys the musical entertainment and joined in with other activities most of the time but his eyesight prevented him from reading. Unfortunately, he has to leave and go to the hospital for treatment and won't be able to return.

Prideaux Lodge is extremely well run. The staff are happy, friendly and welcoming, always there with a smile and a cup of tea. There is an open hours feeling to visiting any time of day. My mother is very well cared for day and night and is happy, safe and content. I can thoroughly recommend Prideaux Lodge to anyone looking to have their loved ones cared for in a clean, efficient and caring environment. Thank you.

I transferred my elderly mother to Prideaux Lodge in February 2016 as she was no longer coping alone at home with a care package. Mum had dementia and was very confused. The Staff at the home spent a lot of time with her helping her to settle in. I chose Prideaux Lodge because of its pleasant, clean and comfortable environment and the friendly and caring attitude of its staff. The rooms are homely, well decorated and maintained, with modern spotless bathrooms.

You hear such horror stories about elderly care homes but I made the right choice with this one. Mum was given a great deal of attention by staff who genuinely seemed to care about their residents. There were plenty of activities in which residents were encouraged to participate. I am grateful to everyone there for making my mother's last months so comfortable and happy. Mum died there peacefully in August.
