My husband was placed at this home for two weeks respite. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.
The food was cooked very nicely; they let me stay for a couple of meals on his first day to help him get settled in.

I thought that was really good; this was his first stay here, and he will be back as long as they have room for him.

The kindness and care that the whole team showed to my dear Mum over the past five years ago has been exceptional. Mum lived with myself and my husband but stayed at Prideaux Lodge for respite care when we were away on holiday, Mum also attended as daycare once or twice a week. The team were always welcoming and treated my lovely Mum with dignity, kindness and respect and we always got a warm welcome. Mum sadly passed away in January but I will always be grateful for the support and care they provided.

I moved my mum to Prideaux Lodge in 2017, she was 96 years old and suffered from dementia. Prideaux Lodge was the perfect place for her. It is a small home, and as such, the staff treated her with respect, dignity and love. Her room was comfortable, with an en-suite shower room/toilet. The property is immaculate, always being improved to a high standard with dementia residents in mind, their privacy and safety a priority. The secure gardens with seating areas and places residents could grow produce. Delicious choice of homemade food and drink cooked on the premises. If at any time I had concerns or needed something done, it was put right straight away if possible, or dealt with soon after. Nothing was too much trouble. Sadly Mum passed away at Prideaux Lodge, 2019. The care and professionalism my mum received at that sad time went through to her end of life at the home. The communication I had, night or day was excellent. All the staff could not have done anymore and I will never forget how calm, caring and professional they were.

During the early days of my wife's residency, she has received great care and attention to settle her into her new and unfamiliar surroundings. Visitors were also made welcome with greetings and hospitality and were given daily reports of wellbeing. Results of the early care are now very apparent.

My mum has been in this home for 3 months. It took all that time for her to settle but we have been supported, kept informed and left to make our own choices when to visit or not.

Mum has had fantastic care, gentle, nurturing and she really has had care tailored to her individual needs. The food is great and we have always been welcomed to join Mum to eat if we wanted to.

Mum has had very good care from all the staff. The food is lovely and we have eaten with her at times. The manager is very supportive and informative. Staff are very attentive and good with calming her. Staff have been organised around Mum's needs at certain times of the day. Great support of family who have, at times, found it stressful when settling mum.

My friend died in July 2019, she lived at Prideaux Lodge for several years. I was not able to visit her regularly as I live in Oxfordshire, but I rang her instead. I was able to know of the steady advance of her Parkinson's Disease. She was always happy with the place she had chosen she liked her room and found the staff warm and friendly. I was always impressed by their care when I visited her. Their work was much increased over the last year as her condition deteriorated. Their caring could not have been better.

I was visiting from 2013 - 2019 regularly. The resident always declared herself to be very happy. She was fond of the staff and they were clearly very fond of her. As a visitor, I was regularly offered a drink and the staff would be happy to move her to a more comfortable position. She was able to discuss her treatment with the staff and was always treated with kindness and dignity.
