Unfortunately, my wife had a stroke on top of advanced Alzheimer's and was in hospital for five weeks. From the time she was assessed in the hospital by the Prideaux Lodge manager, who was very sincere about the future that Prideaux Lodge can offer, and every step of the way was smooth and very easy.
I find the staff at Prideaux Lodge to be first-class in every aspect of care. They go above what I expected from staff at a care home. The home is always very welcoming and exceptionally clean including the room my wife is in, which is always very clean and tidy. The meals are very varied and always a constant flow of drinks are given and help with feeding for those who cannot feed themselves. There is always some sort of entertainment to keep all the residents entertained.

My mum has been at Prideaux Lodge for ten years now and has been extremely well looked after for all of that time. Her dementia has deteriorated considerably over the years and the manager and staff have developed her care plan to suit her considerable needs. Everyone working at Prideaux Lodge, past
and present, has always been most caring of Mum and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home in the highest possible terms.

Mum has been a resident at Prideaux Lodge for almost eight years and the love and care she has received has been outstanding. Mum is never lonely or bored. There's always plenty of activities to keep the residents engaged and entertained. I always receive a warm welcome from the friendly staff who are
always smiling and genuinely appear to love their work. Because it's a small care home it is like one big family. Most importantly mum is safe, well cared for and extremely happy.

Excellent care facility. Prideaux is cosy and welcoming environment for both residents and families alike.
The staff are very kind, patient and gentle with the residents and have really good communication with families. On one visit to see my mum there was a lady who was very upset and distressed,
a caregiver grabbed her photo album and a blanket and snuggled up with her to soothe her - it was so lovely to see and cemented confidence in my mum's welfare.

My mum was a resident at Prideaux Lodge after moving from elsewhere. I knew nothing about what to expect from a nursing home. My experience of Prideaux and the amazing staff began before Mum even arrived. Everyone seemed to have a knack for just knowing what as a family we needed as well as Mum's needs.
From
the manager at the top down to the hilarious handyman who mum had such a crush on, were just normal people who were there because they loved the residents, it was never about the money. Mum's room was home from home, beautifully furnished. All her needs were met from bathing, and chiropody to hairdressing Prideaux provided it.
The staff interaction with my mum was so beautiful to see and always respectful. The food was phenomenal. Great balance of meals and cakes were yummy.
At the end of Mum's life, we were embraced by the staff who looked after us as they did Mum. She passed peacefully and pain-free and this was a testament to everyone at Prideaux who treated her as family.

Prideaux Lodge is such a wonderful home, with amazing and dedicated staff. It feels like a home-from-home environment for the residents and their families.
The staff do everything they can for all residents and the quality of care is outstanding.
The home is always clean and the residents are safe.
The staff plan activities based on resident's interests and current events, and they adapt these so that all be can involved.
My granny was moved here from another home and it was the best decision my family made.

My mum has been a resident at Prideaux Lodge for exactly a year and was moved from a different care home due to her dementia condition worsening and her number of falls increasing.
My mum passed away yesterday.
The care given to my mum has been outstanding.
Every member of staff I have met have been
friendly, kind, considerate and professional.
The rooms are lovely and the meals are too.
The home is also very well managed.
I cannot praise the staff any higher, they are all worthy of the term excellent and I can only say thank you to them all for looking after my mum so well.

My mother-in-law went to Prideaux Lodge after a very bad experience at a different home. We went to view it, my husband and I and as soon as we went through the door it was like being enveloped into a massive hug.
Everybody at Prideaux is there because they love what they do.
When my mother-in-law
was understandably apprehensive of somewhere new but within an hour she was smiling and happy.
Nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone from the hilarious maintenance guy who knew everyone by name through to the manager who treated her like their own family. The rooms are beautifully kept and decorated and super clean. The residents have access to a hairdresser, chiropodist and any other outside agencies needed to support your family.
Now, the food is fantastic, home-cooked and fresh every meal. At morning coffee and afternoon tea, the cake is yummy.
As a family, we were always treated with love, dignity and respect. Sadly my mother-in-law has passed now.

Prideaux Lodge is a very well-run home. The staff are caring, kind and patient. Every effort is made to make the atmosphere as homely as possible for the residents. Visitors can call in at any time and are made welcome.
My husband, who has Alzheimer’s, has been there for two years. He is contented

This is a very special home and I am so grateful Mum is there. She is happy, well looked after, involved and living her best life inspite of her Alzheimers. This home has a family feel and the team who work there are wonderful, professional, caring and switched on. The food is home-cooked and outstanding
and the daily activities, fun. The home itself is beautifully decorated and stimulating for those with Alzheimer's. The bedrooms are lovely too. I can't thank the team enough!

My mother's dementia increased and was not being cared for effectively enough at her previous place. What a transformation on her arrival at Prideaux Lodge. From day one, my mother has been treated with dignity respect and, most of all, kindness as she is now at end of life stage. My life has been made

My mother has been at Prideaux Lodge since November 2021. I have nothing but praise for all the staff. They have shown kindness and compassion without exceptions. I have just returned from their jubilee garden party. It was a wonderful afternoon of music, food and laughter. My mother so enjoyed it.

I am currently in charge of keeping the residents entertained through various activities such as arts and crafts, gardening club, I produce a monthly activities schedule for friends and families to see what we are doing within the home.
