All the staff are doing a great job looking after Nan. We, as a family, are so pleased we found such a great place for Nan to stay.
We are glad you are happy with our home and feel your nan is being looked after.
My mother has been at Prideaux Lodge since November 2021. I have nothing but praise for all the staff. They have shown kindness and compassion without exceptions. I have just returned from their jubilee garden party. It was a wonderful afternoon of music, food and laughter. My mother so enjoyed it.
Thank you for your kind review I am glad you enjoyed our jubilee garden party.
Our family member had a very sudden decline in her Dementia whilst living at home and Prideaux Lodge were able to provide her with accommodation within a week and this was leading up to the Christmas period! Since then, she has said nothing but good things about the home and the staff and is very happy she is no longer living alone. We cannot thank Prideaux Lodge enough for the love and care they provide her and for the peace of mind, they provide us. Would 100% recommend!
Thank you for your kind response. We are glad your family member is settling in well, and you feel as a family that you would be happy to recommend us.
The festive season was a difficult one with Covid. Prideaux Lodge made plans for a gathering of restricted families to attend a party. The procedures put in place were rigorous and thorough so that we all felt safe in attending and our relatives felt safe. The party put a much-needed smile and happiness on all faces including the staff who have worked tirelessly throughout 2021. Christmas is a special time and the manager and team made every effort to bring the magic into the home. Thank you to all.
Thank you for appreciating how much planning took place behind the scenes to make the Christmas fete happen, it gave us all a huge uplift that we needed especially in such special times. We now are confident that we can plan ahead for other events knowing that the process works efficiently.
The staff at Prideaux Lodge always go above and beyond for the residents, particularly around their mental wellbeing. Although it was a difficult decision to go ahead with the Christmas fete, all precautions were taken to reduce the risks and the positive impact it had on all residents and staff alike was felt.
Thank you for your kind comments. I have a great team that works hard to ensure the mental health of the residents is always a priority and our activities coordinator does a great job on a daily basis.
Rigid application of care and medication protocols throughout my father's two-year residence. Very fast to act on any infection or decline in wellbeing, resulting in my father having a quality of life until his end-of-life decline and passing during the final few weeks of his life. The staff were highly attentive such that my father was kept comfortable without the need for end-of-life medication. He passed away peacefully. The management of Covid was exemplary throughout.
Thank you for your kind review, I am glad you felt that we looked after your father well during his end of life which is a very hard time for families. The staff are always proactive in their approach to looking after our residents and will always put the residents first.
Care at Prideaux Lodge is second to none. A big thank you to the manager and all her staff. I attended Prideaux Lodge's Christmas party. A well-organised affair. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. We all felt very safe with all possible protocols put in place. The manager worked so hard on the day. She personally greeted and tested all visitors. On the day, everybody had a fabulous day. Again, a big thank you.
Thank you for your wonderful review, I'm glad you enjoyed the Christmas party, and thought it was well organised. The staff worked extremely hard to keep everyone safe, and I think we achieved this by following the protocol put in place.
My mother went to Prideaux Lodge just before Christmas. The transition went very well due to the kind and professional approach from all the staff. She has settled in really well. Everyone is so friendly and you all made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much, you have all made a very difficult time manageable.
We are glad that your mum has settled in well. It is a difficult decision to place any family member into a care home. This is why we also try and ensure we keep families involved in the day to day decisions and make them feel welcome too.
Our family found Prideaux Lodge staff to be very caring, helpful and understanding, always taking pride in their work they kept my mother in law clean and dressed beautifully. She was always happy and that's all we could ask for in a care home. The staff were very understanding of her needs and when we visited they were always helpful, friendly even at the end of my mother in law's life, the staff were so caring towards her and the manager was on site too.
Thank you for your kind review, we are glad you feel that we looked after your mother in law to a high standard; she was a pleasure to look after.
My Mum was in Prideaux Lodge for 2 years and was happy, treated with dignity and it gave me and my family peace of mind. Staff are lovely, always looked well presented in their uniform, cheerful and happy; not an easy job to do! Always doing a lot of activities with them and always had full PPE on. First impression was how lovely staff were with all the residents, nice manager too! Very caring with my mum at the end of life. Couldn't ask for anymore.
Thank you for your kind review, your mum will be missed by all of the team, thank you for your support.
Good communication. Reliable staff who are always on hand and 'know' and look after my mother well who appears quite content. Happy to make a good recommendation as I do trust the care that the team are giving Mum.
Thank you for your kind review we are glad you feel you could recommend us.
Over the years I have visited a countless number of care homes, both in this country and overseas, and can say, with absolute honesty, Prideaux Lodge stands out from all of them. There is no aspect of it I can find fault with. From the moment you enter the door, there is the most warm and cheerful welcome. Both the patient's rooms and public areas are scrupulously clean. The patients are treated as human beings and given loving care.
Thank you for your kind review, I will pass it onto my team.
Prideaux Lodge gave the most professional and caring care at all times not only to my husband but to our family. When phoning to enquire after him and answering our many questions nothing was ever too much trouble. Everyone of the staff deserves the best thanks for all they did.
Thank you for your kind review. I am glad you feel we are professional and caring.
I cannot thank the staff enough for their amazing care, support, knowledge, true dedication, thoroughness, diligence and the list goes on. In the 2 weeks respite care my dad had at Prideaux, the improvement in his health, mobility and positive attitude went from 0-100. I am so very grateful and cannot say thank you enough to them.
It was a pleasure to look after your dad. I have an amazing team who I feel go above and beyond their duties as carers. I am glad that you felt he made improvements while he was here.
Mum has been at the Prideaux for just over 3 years now and has been paying for her own care. It has been outstanding, she is very happy, safe, has many friends and the care staff are diligent and she now looks on it as her home. They reassure her, the food is excellent and they have responded to her ever-changing needs with such care and compassion. During this pandemic, they have provided Skype, Facebook and telephone calls for us, I would not hesitate to recommend this care home. Thank you each and everyone member of staff.
Teresa, Thank you for your kind review I am glad you feel that we do a good job that means alot to us.
I cannot speak highly enough of the care that my mother receives from all the staff at Prideaux Lodge. I looked at many homes before deciding on Prideaux Lodge. As soon as I met the staff and viewed the home, I knew it was the right place for my mum. Not only are all the staff (this includes everyone, maintenance staff, housekeeping staff, kitchen staff, etc. as well as care staff) extremely well trained and very professional, they are all incredibly kind and caring. They are also extremely tolerant and accommodating to my mum who doesn't always get up and go to bed at conventional times. They are happy to make her meals outside of their normal meal times and do everything they can to allow her the freedom of choice on how she spends her day and evening. They also provide a packed program of activities and special events over the year so there is always something going on. The home is bright, cheerful and well decorated and extremely clean. The home-cooked food is first class.
Vanessa thank you for your kind words that I will pass onto the staff, I am glad that you feel we work to a high standard and also glad that you picked us to look after your mum.
My sister is extremely vulnerable with Parkinson's and mental health issues. Not only has she received superb care and kindness at Prideaux Lodge, but the Manager realised she was being coerced into giving large sums of money to her previous attorneys. The manager ensured a safeguarding hearing and my sister's finances are now safe. The atmosphere in the home is one of care, hope, and genuine love for each resident.
Thank you for your kind words and we wish your sister all the luck in her new home. Please stay in touch as you are always part of the Prideaux family.
The staff are excellent, cheerful, attentive, caring and professional and we are always made welcome when visiting. I am very impressed with how well the current virus crisis is being dealt with and I'm confident that my mother, who has settled in well, continues to be in a safe environment. The home is spacious and clean, has a lovely dining room and activities are varied and stimulating. The decor is homely and having a second garden room lounge a bonus for more private visits. The large garden is ideal for outdoor events, activities and relaxation.
Barbara thank you for your kind review, I am glad that you feel your mother is safe and well cared for. We have been working hard through this COVID-19 keeping the residents entertained and ensuring that we concentrate on their well-being.
My Mum has been living at Prideaux Lodge for over 18 months and has always been treated with exceptional care and dignity and I would highly recommend. The Management and staff are always welcoming, friendly, caring and professional. Since having to introduce lockdown due to COVID19 they have however shown their true dedication and commitment to the care, welfare, mental and physical stimulation of their residents. They have also shown care for the relatives of their residents by providing weekly email and daily social media updates of activities which, in these difficult times means so much to family members. I can not thank them enough for all they are doing.
Janet, thank you for your kind review, we have tried very hard during this COVID -19 outbreak to keep our residents entertained and also put relatives minds at rest by keeping them up to date, your support has been amazing.
Prideaux Lodge is a superb care home. I have been delighted by the professionalism of the staff and the caring atmosphere provided. I feel welcome when I visit, and my mum's wellbeing has improved enormously since staying here.
Laura thank you for your kind review, we are glad your mum has settled in so well and you feel that the home is a superb care home. I will pass these comments onto the staff.
