Prideaux Lodge has 19 bedrooms with a selection of en-suite facilities. All of the rooms include a staff call bell system, Smart television, personal telephone connection and a complementary toiletry basket on arrival to welcome you to the home.
In addition to the south-facing main lounge, the ground floor also comprises of an additional lounge which opens out onto the decking and beautiful rear garden with wild rabbits.

As I work long hours at work and can only come on my days off twice a week at different times and always the same level of care.

My mum has been staying at Prideaux lodge since November 2024, the care team treat her with respect and are very supportive and helpful towards her. Whenever I visit my mum the care team are always very friendly and keep me updated on mum's condition, tea and cake is always on offer. The support from the senior care team has been excellent, especially when mum needed extra support and assistance due to her Alzheimer's disease progression. The activities are well organised by Debbie who is always friendly and is supportive, mum likes joining in with the group particularly when they are making cakes. Prideaux lodge is a small friendly home and is well laid out, the garden is very quiet and has a good decking area. They hold events throughout the year, including the summer fete. This year's fete was excellent, the food was very good, great summer theme and a raffle full of prizes. Thanks for putting on such a great event and for looking after my mum.

My husband goes for one day a week. He has dementia, causing him to be very anxious. I feel if he went for more days in the week he would not get enough stimulation or distraction, saying this I do think things have improved over the past few months and he seems to be quite happy.

It's a good experience. Out mother needs 24 hour care and receives that from a professional and kind team. Debbie brings joy with her activities and Adela, Rona and Donna with their cooking. Denise has her eye on the ball making sure things run smoothly and our mum seems content and cared for.

Prideaux Lodge has proved to be the perfect setting for my mother-in-law. It has a very caring, kind, patient staff who are committed to treat each resident as an individual. They encourage them to engage in various activities but are always aware and respectful of their wishes. Prideaux is very welcoming and truly has a homely feel. Every effort is made to make sure the residents feel that it is their home. The menus are varied, nutritional and cooked freshly on the premises each day as well as being delicious! Nothing is too much trouble for each member of staff who are happy to talk to relatives regarding any concerns they may have about their relatives' wellbeing. I cannot recommend Prideaux Lodge highly enough.

There are a variety of activities that keep her engaged and bring joy to her days, and it's wonderful to see her enjoying them. Mum is always clean, well presented, and clearly cared for with great attention. Knowing she is safe, happy, and looked after gives our family such peace of mind. This Care Home is as close to a home from Home as one could expect. It's always good to see the same staff and faces. I have always been most impressed by the care and consideration towards the residence and the high standard of food. The cleanliness of the home is outstanding.
