My mum has been staying at Prideaux lodge since November 2024, the care team treat her with respect and are very supportive and helpful towards her. Whenever I visit my mum the care team are always very friendly and keep me updated on mum's condition, tea and cake is always on offer. The support from the senior care team has been excellent, especially when mum needed extra support and assistance due to her Alzheimer's disease progression. The activities are well organised by Debbie who is always friendly and is supportive, mum likes joining in with the group particularly when they are making cakes. Prideaux lodge is a small friendly home and is well laid out, the garden is very quiet and has a good decking area. They hold events throughout the year, including the summer fete. This year's fete was excellent, the food was very good, great summer theme and a raffle full of prizes. Thanks for putting on such a great event and for looking after my mum.

My husband goes for one day a week. He has dementia, causing him to be very anxious. I feel if he went for more days in the week he would not get enough stimulation or distraction, saying this I do think things have improved over the past few months and he seems to be quite happy.

My wife went into Prideaux Lodge 16 months ago.She had very complexed needs, which consisted of advanced Alzheimers,a stroke plus 3 seizures.I have found that all staff treat her with dignity. She still has a problem with personal care but all the carers do their best for her.Every day i go to the Lodge ,she looks clean and tidy with her hair always brushed. When she first arrived at Prideaux Lodge she could not feed herself but with a lot of help and encouragement she can now mainly feed herself. She seems very happy walking around the home most of the day with the staff checking on her at all times. I looked at other care homes but none were as friendly as the Lodge.Besides the care she receives, her room and the rest of the Lodge is always

clean and tidy .The meals are always varied and look very appealing,so a big thankyou to all staff and management about the way the home is run.

This is a WONDERFUL care home!!

My mum has now been at Prideaux Lodge for over 5 years and she absolutely loves it there.

The staff in all areas are so caring and friendly and my rather reserved mum of old has become a new joyous person. She adores her carers and they in turn care for her so well.

The home itself is lovely, well maintained and absolutely brilliant at putting the physical and mental needs of those with dementia first.

The activities are fun and food superb. Family always get a big welcome.

It is not a large home which is exactly what we wanted, it has a family home feel as well as an actual family feel.

There are regular events that bring all the families together too, as mentioned in a previous comment.

Such a great Care Home, I'm so glad that I was recommended Prideaux Lodge for my mum. The staff, accommodation and overall experience is far superior to alternatives in and around the Bexhill and Eastbourne area. I couldn't be more happier with the care that she receives and in having the peace of mind knowing how well she is looked after.

Thank you to everyone at Prideaux Lodge

Without exception, the staff at Prideaux Lodge are absolutely wonderful. They are so caring, and treat their residents with such warmth and understanding. They are welcoming to all visitors, and instil an absolute confidence that my mother's needs are being understood and met each day.
As a family, we feel very fortunate to have found such a tremendous care home for my mother, enabling us to relax in the knowledge that she is in such a caring environment now that it's not possible for her to live on her own any more.

Thank you to everyone that works so tirelessly at Prideaux!!!

Prideaux Lodge has proved to be the perfect setting for my mother-in-law. It has a very caring, kind, patient staff who are committed to treat each resident as an individual. They encourage them to engage in various activities but are always aware and respectful of their wishes. Prideaux is very welcoming and truly has a homely feel. Every effort is made to make sure the residents feel that it is their home. The menus are varied, nutritional and cooked freshly on the premises each day as well as being delicious! Nothing is too much trouble for each member of staff who are happy to talk to relatives regarding any concerns they may have about their relatives' wellbeing. I cannot recommend Prideaux Lodge highly enough.

Prideaux Lodge is a lovely, intimate care home of modest size but very well appointed. The staff really could not be better and are courteous and professional at all times. We are regularly kept informed and nothing is too much trouble when making enquiries. All the residents are well cared for and we feel fortunate to have found such a suitable place for my elderly mother who, we know, is now in very capable hands and safe. Highly recommended.

I cannot rate Prideaux highly enough. Through my work I have contact with a lot of care homes locally and I am always so impressed with the care and kindness of the staff at Prideaux. It's not just a job for them - they clearly care for the residents. The management and team were incredibly responsive when we needed help, staying beyond their hours to allow Mum to move in during a crisis. I'm so grateful for the support and care provided.

It's such a difficult decision when asking a home to care for your relative. Asking the team at Prideaux to care for my Mum was without doubt the right decision. They helped her settle far better than I ever thought possible.

Prideaux has provided mum with a friendly, caring and loving environment where individuals are important. The smiling and happy staff regard the residents as family and show that nothing is too much trouble for them.
When activities are provided, such as cooking, gardening or crafts, residents are encouraged to take part and assisted where needed.
The catering is mindful of the expectations and experiences of an older population and looks tasty!
It has taken a while for mum to settle and adapt to her new surroundings but every effort has been made to help her and support her.

Thank you to all the staff.
