Since my mother has been living here, my sister and I have only excellent things to say about all the staff who work there. They arrange activities for the residents to take part should they wish or they are happy for them to spend time alone in their rooms. All the staff not only engage with the residents, but all the visitors they receive and offer coffee etc to to them. Their response to somebody standing on the pressure pads in their rooms was impressive and very reassuring. The staff all very willing to help any resident with anything they may need.
Having seen my mother in another home for two weeks, The Emilie Galloway Home of Rest has shown me how a care home can be so much more friendly and caring. The whole set up of the rooms etc are light and airy with plenty of room for the various equipment required for the residents to get around.

The food is also varied and plentiful along with being very tasty. This I have learnt from the other residents who have also been very complimentary about this home.

My husband was a resident at Tweed, The Emilie Galloway Home of Rest for the last 20 months of his life.
The wonderful team made his stay with them so happy, right up to his last moment. They are totally professional in every respect, but this is achieved in a relaxed and caring way, always thoughtful of the resident's individual needs and wants. I was always warmly welcomed by everyone on my regular visits to my husband. They go the extra mile - always with a smile.

My Mum has just spent 5 weeks in this lovely Care Home. She has been so well looked after, made lots of friends and thoroughly enjoyed her stay. The food was lovely and plenty of it. The staff are all amazing and so happy to help their residents and show a genuine caring attitude. The setting is lovely and bright and very convenient for seaside walks if you have the mobility.
As family, it was so important for us to know that our Mum was happy, safe and being well looked after. She participated in plenty of activities and was made to feel part of the Tweed family during her stay.

My mother has recently become a resident and has settled really quickly. She speaks highly of all the staff and their help and kindness, of her enjoyment of the 'lovely food', and of the activities available despite the restrictions Covid has imposed. The staff communicate with me regularly and are readily available should I need to communicate with them.
They are proactive in planning care and ensure my mother's needs are anticipated and addressed. We are very pleased with her care and are so glad she has found a lovely home.

I have come to visit on three occasions and I have found everyone friendly and happy. The rooms are clean and warm and the whole place is very welcoming. I had meals when I visited and they were delicious.

Although I am an infrequent visitor to my mother as I live abroad, the staff are so welcoming. During her transition from her martial home to here, all involved in her huge change in life were so helpful, kind and understanding. I am just so happy that she, mum, is being so well cared for and is so happy. The comfort that gives our family is huge. I can't praise the staff enough. The atmosphere is also so pleasant, something I had dreaded on my first visit.

I was highly recommended by 2 friends who came here to "have a go" and they stayed. That is what happened to me!

There is nothing left to be desired. Everything is done for us. I can freely have visitors and lead an independent life. There is always laughter and a most peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. I don't want to be anywhere else.
