Woodside Hall Nursing Home

I could just write "Five Stars" and leave it at that, but...

The joy of Woodside Hall is many-layered, and has many faces. Walk in, the warm, confident smile of greeting and of assured efficiency: this place is quietly, unfussily human. Owner Sharon with the smile, not of some brisk executive-person but a charming, quietly confident friend. (Oh and Sharon's gorgeous, highly kidnappable dog Tilly.) Then the smile from senior care staff, ever ready with an update on our Dad's state of health and mind. Down the corridor, and absolutely everyone smiles good-day. Walk past the lounge, with a rumbustious sing-song going on, and the smiles are wide grins. Pop into Dad's room - perfectly furnished and equipped, immaculately clean, and looking over the beautiful lawns and the Sussex woodlands beyond, and Dad (aged 97 and counting) has the smile of a resident safe, comfortable and content. There are bigger, maybe fancier homes out there, but none can possibly better - or outsmile - Woodside.

by the staff in this home. It is definitely home from home. They have excellent chefs who provide delicious food. What more can you want!

Woodside hall gave our family member the happiest time during her stay. The staff were so caring and friendly. Everyday they had a variety of entertainment. During her final days the love and support she received was so caring. Extra touches like pinning her favourite brooch on her, painting her nails and styling her hair. That gave us a lot of comfort. Our lasting memory is of her gathered with her friends eating ice lollies in the sunshine. Thank you x

My father who is a resident at Woodside Hall and I joined the Woodside Hall, Winter Olympics Activity on Thursday 19th February. The event was well organised and enjoyed by the residents and visitors. The sports were well planned so that everyone could take part if they wished. The room was arranged so that all could see what was going on. Congratulations to Natalie for a super afternoon.

My mother was a resident at Woodside Hall Nursing Home from July 2024 until she died 6th May 2026. She very much enjoyed her time, there the caring staff were excellent. As was the food which she very much enjoyed. Entertainment was of good quality and frequent.

Hi.. I am writing to say I feel very supported with staff & management, & the chef included.. food is good & care is good too.. Cleanliness is very good too.. All round I would recommend Woodside Hall.

The staff are friendly caring and totally professional nothing is too much trouble and they make my mum so happy being in the home that she calls it her hotel . She loves the activities and the entertainment that is laid on daily and gets fully involved with the staff

My mother-in-law is on end-of-life care.. The people at Woodside are amazingly kind and caring. There is nothing they won't do to keep her comfortable. She has been there nearly three years and has loved it. We can't fault the care and attention she has had and continues to have.

The room was comfortable so was the bed. There was as lovely view from the window and the stay was restful. May I suggest that the staff allow residents more privacy when using the lavatories.

Woodside Hall is a great nursing home full of kind and caring people, staff always willing to give up their time and explain something or sit down with you and your family. My father has been in this home since March of this year. I cannot fault them for their kind and caring attitude. Nothing is too much trouble, the food is lovely and my father enjoys variety of fresh food cooked daily the residence rooms are spotlessly clean so are all the communal areas. I have spent much time in the home over the last few months helping my father settle in and I have seen with my own eyes even though the staff work very long hours they are very caring with all the residence and the needs of individuals if you're looking for a home to put a family member in or a friend go and have a look for yourself talk to some of the residents,

The home is absolutely a credit to the home manager and to each and every member of staff, nothing is to much trouble, the home is absolutely spotless and fantastic care . Every member of staff goes above and beyond and my neighbour wants for nothing, if you are looking for a home for a loved one, I would highly recommend this home, and belive you me I can be very fussy. If I was to rate this home definitely 10/10 , food is excellent, activities are there if you want to participate and there's always someone to talk to, don't just take my word for it go and vist, plus they have just received a gold award so again we'll done to each and everyone of you x

The care my father received was amazing; all the staff were so helpful and very friendly. The food was very good. I was really impressed with the cleanliness, overall, the care he received was excellent. We would really recommend Woodside Hall to everyone.

We cannot thank the management team and staff enough for the care and compassion they gave to my mum in her final days. Although she was only with Woodside for the final two weeks of her life it was made comfortable and more importantly pain free. The nursing staff kept us up to date on a daily basis which made things so much easier for us. I cannot speak highly enough of them all. Once again, thank you Woodside.

Thankyou to you all for looking after Mum as I cannot fault the dignity & respect you showed her. We felt relieved that we can now go away knowing she's in such caring hands with all her needs taken care of, it was one less worry for us.

I spent three weeks respite in Woodside, enjoying a spacious, comfortable room overlooking the expansive informal garden. The staff were friendly, attentive and responsive, and the residents were also very welcoming. Highly recommended.

My mother was looked after by Woodside Care Home from April 2023 until she sadly died in February 2024. Mum was quadriplegic so required help with everything. The care staff treated her with respect and the clinical lead and her nursing team were great. Everyone was always willing to discuss Mum's condition with us and the care she received in her final days helped the family through a difficult time.

My husband has respite at Woodside Hall 4 times a year. The staff are great and know him well. It is very clean, and he is very well looked after. I never worry about sending him there. He is treated with dignity and respect at all times.

She thoroughly enjoyed her stay there and the care she received was first-class. The staff are all very friendly and provide an excellent level of care. The food was very good and my Mother built up her strength during her stay enabling her to return home and be able to cope on her own again. She would definitely stay there again as it has such a friendly homely environment combined with a professional level of care from all the staff.

My father has been in Woodside for several months and has settled in really well, the staff are kind and friendly, the amenities and food are to a great standard. We're very happy we chose Woodside Hall for his complex care needs.
