Woodside Hall Nursing Homes a fantastic independently owned nursing home located between the two small towns of Hailsham and Polegate in East Sussex and only a short drive from coast of Eastbourne.

Woodside Hall Nursing Home has been awarded Gold Standards Accreditation. All of the team at Woodside Hall have embedded GSF Principles and integrated them to fit the needs and care of residents so deeply for. This accreditation demonstrates the level of care and passion in ensuring residents needs and wishes are met when it matters most. Kindness, compassion and sheer love for all.

The care home is set in four acres of private gardens and woodland. The beautiful grounds which surround the nursing home make it a lovely, peaceful and tranquil place.

Residents can enjoy a visit to the hairdressers, regular visits from the Chiropodist and nutritional home made meals using fresh locally sourced produce. Residents can also benefit from visits from the loving and friendly registered K9 Concern Dog called Tilly.

At Woodside Hall, the friendly atmosphere ensures that everyone continues their daily life with personal privacy and dignity. Friends, relatives and guests are always welcome.

Woodside Hall is served by local General Practitioner on a weekly ward round.

The home is managed by a Director & Registered Manager who has been running the home for the past 26 years. On top of having extremely high standards when it comes to care, the manager also strives to make time for residents. The team also consists of highly trained staff including senior nurse, Registered Nurses, Head of Care, Care Assistants, Domestic/Maintenance Team, Chefs and Admin & an Activity Team, who each provide 24-hour support in a professional and caring way.

Woodside Hall is a great nursing home full of kind and caring people, staff always willing to give up their time and explain something or sit down with you and your family. My father has been in this home since March of this year. I cannot fault them for their kind and caring attitude. Nothing is too
much trouble, the food is lovely and my father enjoys variety of fresh food cooked daily the residence rooms are spotlessly clean so are all the communal areas. I have spent much time in the home over the last few months helping my father settle in and I have seen with my own eyes even though the staff work very long hours they are very caring with all the residence and the needs of individuals if you're looking for a home to put a family member in or a friend go and have a look for yourself talk to some of the residents,

When we was looking for a carehome, for our neighbour, we came across woodside Hall , from the moment we walked through the door, we received a very warm welcome from the home manager, also sue who is the receptionist.
The home is absolutely a credit to the home manager and to each and every member
of staff, nothing is to much trouble, the home is absolutely spotless and fantastic care . Every member of staff goes above and beyond and my neighbour wants for nothing, if you are looking for a home for a loved one, I would highly recommend this home, and belive you me I can be very fussy. If I was to rate this home definitely 10/10 , food is excellent, activities are there if you want to participate and there's always someone to talk to, don't just take my word for it go and vist, plus they have just received a gold award so again we'll done to each and everyone of you x

The care my father received was amazing; all the staff were so helpful and very friendly. The food was very good. I was really impressed with the cleanliness, overall, the care he received was excellent. We would really recommend Woodside Hall to everyone.

We cannot thank the management team and staff enough for the care and compassion they gave to my mum in her final days. Although she was only with Woodside for the final two weeks of her life it was made comfortable and more importantly pain free. The nursing staff kept us up to date on a daily basis
which made things so much easier for us. I cannot speak highly enough of them all. Once again, thank you Woodside.

It's always daunting having to think about sending a loved one away for respite as you never know what to expect but all I can say that I was absolutely delighted that we chose Woodside Hall !!
From the moment we viewed the home we felt at home,as the staff are all so welcoming & kind with all my questions
answered in a professional manner, so I knew than that Mum would indeed be happy to stay there for 3 weeks & I'm amazed she did as she's so critical of everything !
She said that the staff were all lovely, she loved being out in the garden everyday & I know she enjoyed the banter & being around others after being so isolated in her room @ home for so long.
We would not hesitate sending Mum back there again & it so happens she will be in October !
Thankyou to you all for looking after Mum as I cannot fault the dignity & respect you showed her. We felt relieved that we can now go away knowing she's in such caring hands with all her needs taken care of, it was one less worry for us.

My mother was looked after by Woodside Care Home from April 2023 until she sadly died in February 2024. Mum was quadriplegic so required help with everything. The care staff treated her with respect and the clinical lead and her nursing team were great. Everyone was always willing to discuss Mum's condition
with us and the care she received in her final days helped the family through a difficult time.

My husband has respite at Woodside Hall 4 times a year. The staff are great and know him well. It is very clean, and he is very well looked after. I never worry about sending him there. He is treated with dignity and respect at all times.

My mother (94) was very weak after a nasty cold /cough over Christmas and spent 2 weeks there for respite.
She thoroughly enjoyed her stay there and the care she received was first-class. The staff are all very friendly and provide an excellent level of care. The food was very good and my Mother built
up her strength during her stay enabling her to return home and be able to cope on her own again. She would definitely stay there again as it has such a friendly homely environment combined with a professional level of care from all the staff.

I am so pleased with the way my husband has been looked after, the staff take such good care of him and I can rest easy knowing that he is being taken good care of. Being the first time I have been in this situation the staff have all been very kind and any questions I have they always help with. They

I have been here for a couple of months for respite. From day one, the staff have been very efficient and friendly. I feel very safe here. My room is spacious and cleaned every day. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursing home to any of my friends.

We hold Woodside Hall in the very highest regard. The staff are professional and personal: a combination not always easy to achieve, but WH does so with efficiency, sensitivity and with a smile. We know my father-in-law is safe, comfortable and happy. We score the activities only a slight notch lower,
simply because he does not always participate. We would recommend WH without reservation.

From the day I visited Woodside Hall I felt it was a suitable place for my husband, and I was right, he settled in with the help of caring staff. As I live very nearby I was able to visit every day, treated with friendliness and able to observe how well all the staff worked together - cleaning, laundry,
kitchen, activities, handyman, caring and excellent nursing staff. For the final months my husband and I were treated with dignity and support.

Mum is very well looked after and settled. She recently celebrated her birthday, all the staff gathered with a cake and sung Happy Birthday which was lovely. Since arriving in August, Mum has also made friends with a number of the other residents. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's a
relief to know that Mum is safe, well cared for and has friends (new and old) around her.
