Woodside Hall Nursing Homes a fantastic independently owned nursing home located between the two small towns of Hailsham and Polegate in East Sussex and only a short drive from coast of Eastbourne.

Woodside Hall Nursing Home has been awarded Gold Standards Accreditation. All of the team at Woodside Hall have embedded GSF Principles and integrated them to fit the needs and care of residents so deeply for. This accreditation demonstrates the level of care and passion in ensuring residents needs and wishes are met when it matters most. Kindness, compassion and sheer love for all.

The care home is set in four acres of private gardens and woodland. The beautiful grounds which surround the nursing home make it a lovely, peaceful and tranquil place.

Residents can enjoy a visit to the hairdressers, regular visits from the Chiropodist and nutritional home made meals using fresh locally sourced produce. Residents can also benefit from visits from the loving and friendly registered K9 Concern Dog called Tilly.

At Woodside Hall, the friendly atmosphere ensures that everyone continues their daily life with personal privacy and dignity. Friends, relatives and guests are always welcome.

Woodside Hall is served by local General Practitioner on a weekly ward round.

The home is managed by a Director & Registered Manager who has been running the home for the past 26 years. On top of having extremely high standards when it comes to care, the manager also strives to make time for residents. The team also consists of highly trained staff including senior nurse, Registered Nurses, Head of Care, Care Assistants, Domestic/Maintenance Team, Chefs and Admin & an Activity Team, who each provide 24-hour support in a professional and caring way.

What a wonderful Care Home. My mother first went for two weeks of respite in May 2022, she enjoyed it as much as she could as suffering from Alzheimer's disease, and mobility issues. The staff were all very kind and helpful, and nothing too much trouble. She loved sitting out in the beautiful garden,
and she returned home happy.
My mother declined very quickly in October and was in need of end-of-life care, my sister phoned Woodside and they took her in straight away. She was treated with dignity and very good care by all staff involved. I looked at her and she looked very comfortable, more so than in her last two weeks at home, which was a great comfort to the family.
The staff treated mother with great care and dignity. We were able to visit at any time. If I phoned for updates on her a member of staff was always available to let me know exactly how she was doing, if there was any problems they would phone me and let me know. My family had such peace of mind.
Excellent home would highly recommend.

I have nothing but ultimate praise for all the staff at Woodside Hall who took wonderful care of my mum in her final weeks. They were not only exceptionally kind to her, but they also treated me with gentle, thoughtful respect at all times. All this made the most difficult and sad time much easier to

My aunt is seriously disabled with no speech and advancing dementia. I can't visit often as I live a long way from her but I am totally happy that she is well looked after. She is generally happy and obviously feels very close to her nurse and carers.

12-day respite stay, first time in this sort of environment. The home was selected because it seemed friendly and welcoming, which it turned out to be. Good range of activities and helpful and supportive staff.

Myself and my family were very happy with the care given to my wife during her last few weeks of life.
My wife unfortunately died from Pancreatic Cancer, but the care given to her and the help shown to us the family during these difficult times was so caring that I would recommend Woodside Hall Care
Home to anyone that was looking for a place for their loved ones.
A few years ago the same care was given to my mother who lived for a further 18 months following a stroke, we were all very happy with the care given at that time also.

In the last year, my wife has continued to receive the very best care and attention from all the staff. This has been a difficult time for everyone with all the continuing restrictions quite rightly imposed and maintained for the health and safety of residents and staff. With an easing of visiting rules,
limited contact with relatives does make life a little more ''normal'' but we all have a long way to go yet. I commend all concerned in the running of the home for their concern and care for the residents and long may it continue.

Woodside Hall is a lovely, friendly nursing home with fantastic, friendly, professional staff. They were fantastic in settling my elderly father into the home during very difficult COVID19 times. The care is very good, lovely atmosphere and all the staff are excellent. The home manager does a brilliant job keeping everything in order and up to date and is always very caring and helpful. Above all the main thing is that everyone is happy in their jobs and nothing is ever too much trouble.

Mummy has been cared for so well since day one. She is happy and loves the staff. I feel she is safe and supported, which is so important when I cannot care for her myself or be with her as I would like to be. As I have only been to one room so far, I cannot really comment on the building's facilities
or cleanliness but I assume it is at least of a very good standard.

Woodside Hall cared for my mum from March, until her death in September. The care she received was exemplary, always given with kindness and professionalism.
