All though my wife was only in the home for 2 weeks to give me some respite, I can only give it the highest praise. Her room was cosy and warm. All the were very kind and considerate, the food was homemade and very good and I had lunch with her several times in the dining room. The building had a very homely feel. If she had to go into care in the future it would be into Woodside Hall.

My mother has been in Woodside Hall Nursing Home since the beginning of December 2022. She has moved rooms because she wanted a view, they were very helpful in making this happen and she is very happy where she is. All staff are very present and going into the home, every member of staff makes you feel very welcome. I do her hair in the hairdressing salon which she really likes. I am very happy with the care she is receiving.

Ripple bed and bedsides provided as requested. Clothes were washed and neatly pressed. Fluid intake over the week was low, noticed three cups on the table, all with small amounts taken out of each. Needs watching. In all, satisfactory stay, friendly staff. All area's clean and tidy.

A care home that doesn't smell! - This is the first test. I call it 'the smell test'.
The staff are friendly and caring.
The home seems to have a nice working atmosphere, with the staff having friendly banter with each other.

Overall, so far, I'm impressed.

Excellent on all fronts. Clean, safe environment for the residents. Friendly caring and capable. I'd be happy to stay as a resident but I'm not quite there yet. On each occasion that I visit my friend, he is well turned out. I as a visitor am treated with great friendliness. No complaints. Coffee is offered and accepted every time. It's the little things.

A lovely caring home which provided my father with excellent nursing and a home during the last difficult months of his life, encouraging him and making him feel valued. Good communication by staff to me. I cannot fault the team there and it certainly provided me with the reassurance I needed.

What a wonderful Care Home. My mother first went for two weeks of respite in May 2022, she enjoyed it as much as she could as suffering from Alzheimer's disease, and mobility issues. The staff were all very kind and helpful, and nothing too much trouble. She loved sitting out in the beautiful garden, and she returned home happy.
My mother declined very quickly in October and was in need of end-of-life care, my sister phoned Woodside and they took her in straight away. She was treated with dignity and very good care by all staff involved. I looked at her and she looked very comfortable, more so than in her last two weeks at home, which was a great comfort to the family.
The staff treated mother with great care and dignity. We were able to visit at any time. If I phoned for updates on her a member of staff was always available to let me know exactly how she was doing, if there was any problems they would phone me and let me know. My family had such peace of mind.

Excellent home would highly recommend.

I have nothing but ultimate praise for all the staff at Woodside Hall who took wonderful care of my mum in her final weeks. They were not only exceptionally kind to her, but they also treated me with gentle, thoughtful respect at all times. All this made the most difficult and sad time much easier to cope with. Thank you, most sincerely.

My aunt is seriously disabled with no speech and advancing dementia. I can't visit often as I live a long way from her but I am totally happy that she is well looked after. She is generally happy and obviously feels very close to her nurse and carers.

Myself and my family were very happy with the care given to my wife during her last few weeks of life.
My wife unfortunately died from Pancreatic Cancer, but the care given to her and the help shown to us the family during these difficult times was so caring that I would recommend Woodside Hall Care Home to anyone that was looking for a place for their loved ones.

A few years ago the same care was given to my mother who lived for a further 18 months following a stroke, we were all very happy with the care given at that time also.

In the last year, my wife has continued to receive the very best care and attention from all the staff. This has been a difficult time for everyone with all the continuing restrictions quite rightly imposed and maintained for the health and safety of residents and staff. With an easing of visiting rules, limited contact with relatives does make life a little more ''normal'' but we all have a long way to go yet. I commend all concerned in the running of the home for their concern and care for the residents and long may it continue.
