My mother moved into Avon Manor after her dementia deteriorated due to Covid. I am so impressed with the management and all the staff. They provide all Mum’s needs, and she is stimulated and entertained. They arrange for musicians, dancers and other entertainers to come in which the residents love. They are very creative and always have a project on the go where they involve as many residents as possible.
When I visit Mum, everyone is so friendly, and the residents are so happy and able to go and do as they please (within reason). I certainly feel we struck lucky as it has such a lovely family atmosphere, and nothing is any trouble.
The care given is amazing, and the Manor is so clean. The food is wonderful and well presented.
Now that Covid restrictions are easier, families and friends are welcome to join in parties and events which have been so well organised and great fun.

Thank you all at Avon Manor; you are all super stars.

My mother in law was always very well looked after. She was always clean and tidy. Her room was clean and tidy. She was happy and we felt loved by the carers. There was always plenty of food and some great entertainment. I always recommend and praise Avon Manor to anyone who wants to listen.

I'm so pleased that my Aunt is a resident at Avon Manor Care Home. This home is amazing they really do care. The activities and thought behind everything they do is superb. My Aunt is the happiest she has been in years and I feel so relieved that we as a family have found her a dementia home that she can really live her life with the best of care. The manager and all the carers and staff are like family to my Aunt she loves them all. Thank you for all you do for her xxx

Avon Manor is the place to be. My family and I could not be better assured that my Grandma is in the best care possible, surrounded by people who truly love what they do. The activities are amazing and it is so lovely to see the residents engaging in them. Despite the dreadful illness, I know that my Grandma is the happiest that she can be and that is thanks to the fabulous staff at Avon Manor. Thank you for all that you do.

Mum has Alzheimer’s Disease and it was the hardest decision ever for her to live in a care home, never did we ever think we would not care for her ourselves particularly when I am a Nurse. She’s been at Avon Manor now for almost two years and is so happy and so are we. Myself and my sister are now daughters again and not mum's carer. The staff at Avon Manor are amazing and there is just so much activity every day to meet everyone’s unique needs. Quite honestly, mum has a better social life than many of us! Going into Avon Manor is like going into another family member's home. It’s so endearing how well the residents get along together and how attentive the staff are. The residents are treated with the utmost dignity and respect, and the home is theirs. The home is welcoming as soon as you enter the front door, and as a relative, you feel and gain immediate trust and security. All staff from the domestic staff, the kitchen, the care staff and managers really are amazing. Thank you.

Mum was diagnosed with vascular dementia and Alzheimers a while ago and used to live alone until lockdown made her housebound. Unfortunately, this caused a crisis in her dementia and she became very confused and agitated. Luckily Avon Manor came to the rescue with a room and within a couple of weeks, Mum was up and about and more like herself! The activities the staff do with the residents are so imaginative and involving everyone. The staff are just so caring and always polite and smiling and in return, the residents always seem to be having fun and enjoying life again! Love you all and thank you!

Mum has been at Avon Manor for almost 2 years - within weeks of arriving Mum gained much-needed weight and had become very settled. There is room throughout the ground floor for residents to wander but also plenty of seating areas - great for families to sit privately should they choose. The residents are kept busy with plenty of activities and 1-2-1 time. Individual needs are catered for e.g Mum can look after a therapy doll if she could do with some relaxation. The home has great links with the local GP and any health issues are addressed immediately. As a family we would like to thank every single employee of Avon Manor, it is a huge thing for us to entrust Mum into your care but we are able to do so with confidence due to your outstanding efforts.

The team at Avon Manor are all very professional and friendly. It is great to see my mother doing well in their care. They regularly run events and keep the residents entertained and there are pictures of them looking happy on social media. This has been a real touch during lockdown as we have been unable to visit.

Mum spent two and a half years at Avon Manor Care Home and we were extremely pleased that we chose the Home. She was so well looked after by all of the staff and the Manager is outstanding. It didn't take long for mum to settle into the Home and she started eating properly again and was very happy there. There is a lovely atmosphere and lots of activities for the residents. Sadly mum passed away at Avon Manor but the end of life care from the staff was so kind and caring.

Our dear friend moved into Avon Manor 5 years ago at the relatively young age of 63 years. From the moment we first visited, we fell in love with the staff and the way all the residents are treated. We cannot speak highly enough of the pure dedication and total kindness here and we are so blessed that her daughter discovered Avon Manor - she could not be cared for any more than she is. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for looking after our precious friend of nearly 50 years. We love you.

This home is truly remarkable. When faced with the horrendous situation of having to place a loved one in care, we took the decision very seriously, visiting many, many establishments. Avon Manor stood out for us. Do your homework, knock on doors, make those visits, then go to speak to the manager at Avon Manor. Not the cheapest, but the loveliest environment we could wish for our mum. What more could you ask for? We could not be more grateful for the amazing job they do. Thank you to everyone who works there.

My mum has been a resident for three years now. I initially chose this home for her after viewing many in the area as the manager was so lovely, meals are cooked freshly, there are three lounges so plenty of room for the residents and for visiting, there are resident pets which I knew my mum would love as her own, there are regular activities for the residents and the home is not overly large.
Over the years the manager, who is simply amazing (always going above and beyond her role for her residents and their families, please never leave) and all of the staff (also amazing and so hardworking and selfless) have loved my mum, treated her as if she was family and have looked after her so well.
The fact that my mum developed Dementia at such a young age is devastating but I feel reassured that she is in such safe hands with people who strive to keep her happy and as healthy as she can be.

I would recommend this home to anyone and I’m so thankful to all of the staff for everything they do.

Our Mum was a resident in Avon Manor from June 2015 to September of last year when she very sadly passed away. Words cannot express how grateful we are for the kindness, love and affection that the carers lavished upon her. Not to mention all the laughs. Mum had deteriorated cognitively and physically with such speed in the year leading up to her residency but within a month she had improved immensely and settled in amazingly well. It's a testament to the management and staff that they have really struck that sweet spot of professionalism and homeliness. There were always plenty of activities and entertainment going on and Mum soon rediscovered her sense of fun and was always up for an afternoon boogie. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending this very special place to any relative's of prospective residents. You can be assured they will receive excellent care. Thank you for looking after our lovely Mum and all the warm, friendly welcomes.

I have found all the staff at Avon Manor to be friendly, supportive, kind, caring, patient. Avon Manor supports residents with advanced dementia and the staff have the skills to do this. My mum has advanced dementia and when she moved into the home last year she was depressed, couldn't communicate much and couldn't walk unaided. After a few months, my mum has transformed. She can now walk unaided, smiles a lot and responds to me again. I highly recommend Avon Manor dementia home.

In the five years my mother has been a resident I have always found the home to be clean and maintained in a very good condition. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful and obviously do all they can for the people in their care.

As regards to the next section apart from a cup of tea when we visit, I have no knowledge of the catering. I also have no knowledge of the safety/security aspect.

My mother spent last 4 years of her life with dementia in Avon Manor. The care she received was superb, caring, friendly and compassionate staff.
Very clean and above all fresh smelling all the time.

My mother was a very particular lady and always immaculately "turned out". I could not have found a better home for her to spend her last years.

My mother has Dementia, she became a resident at Avon Manor 10 months ago. The kind people at Avon Manor have not only looked after our mum but they have helped our family come to terms with what is sadly a lasting illness that our mum will not recover from.
I will always be grateful to the friendly, familiar faces of the staff that greet my wife and I on our visits to see my mum and the endless pots of tea are most welcome.

My mum is cared for in every way inspite of and inclusive of her illness at Avon Manor Care Home. We were told on our first visit that they place much on the fact that to all the residents this is now their Home. In my experience, they have achieved this with my mum.
