Overall Experience
A friend of mine has been at the home for a few months now. I've been very impressed with the standard of care and particularly how they've coped with the Pandemic. The food is good and they are clearly trying to update the decor of the home to provide residents with a home from home feel.

I would recommend to friends and relatives.

Overall Experience

Ashdown Lodge is a small but professionally run residential care home. My mother has been a resident there nearly five years and has always been very happy, comfortable, well cared for and felt safe. She does not always want to join activities with the other residents but she always seems to enjoy talking and joking with the carers who know her likes and dislikes. When she wishes, there are various activities regularly available. It is very easy to talk to staff about any queries or concerns and they have quickly made me aware when my mother has been unwell and needed to go to the hospital. The size and lovely staff make Ashdown Lodge a home to be recommended.

Overall Experience
My mum moved into Ashdown Lodge in November 2017, suffering from dementia. She settled in quite quickly and became perfectly happy here. My brothers and I always considered she was safe here, well cared for and cared about. She liked the food and the activities, although less so more recently as her condition deteriorated.

The home has a friendly homely atmosphere, and the residents always seem calm and relaxed. The staff work together well, as a team with customer care foremost in their minds.
