My mum has been at Dovecote View care home for a year and a half, after a short stay in hospital. My mother unfortunately needs 24 hour care, my mother has improved since being at Dovecote. I put this down to a lovely welcoming care home, the staff, everyone of them are brilliant. Staff very professional caring understanding to all residents. When I visit my mum just watching how staff interact with residents I can't fault them. The support staff have given me I can't praise them enough. I would highly recommend Dovecote.

Dovecote View is always a nice place to come to visit my father. The facilities are brilliant, the garden is fantastic in the summer. The staff are always helpful and friendly and I feel they do really care for the residents. The activities are always available for people that want to partake. My father always enjoys the meals and always has a cup of tea and biscuits in front of him when I visit. A really pleasant facility which makes for pleasant visits. Very much would recommend.

Dovecote View has been excellent choice of care home for my mum. The staff are excellent and treat the residents respectfully and with great care treating them as friends rather than residents. The home is very clean and never has the horrible smell that other ones have had that I have visited. There are lots of activities also and entertainment. The relatives who visit are also made to feel very welcome.

My mum has been at Dovecote view for 2 years now.She is living with Alzheimer's and cancer. The care she constantly receives on a daily and night basis is outstanding. The staff are caring, kind and thoughtful, considerate and helpful. Mum is happy and the surroundings are familiar to her which makes her feel secure. Her rooms is lovely and always kept clean and tidy. Mum enjoys her emails (when she is hungry) and tea is always 'on tap', which is perfect for her. She is partial to a little tipple of sherry too.The manager, assistant manager and secretary are amazing and always on hand and very happy to help me and mum. We highly recommend Dovecote View.

Dovecote View is the place where I would recommend to anyone who needed residential care, especially for those with Dementia. First impressions count. From the moment I am welcomed into Dovecote View through their well secured doors to when I leave, I witness the cleanliness, friendliness and care they give to all of their residents. Visitors are treated with the upmost respect and more importantly to their residents. I feel that I am part of the Dovecote View family.

Entertainment is well managed and special events are always a great success. Well done to the kitchen staff for all their hard work. My mother-in-law is receiving the best care that I could wish for. Thank you Dovecote View Care Home!

My father has been a resident for a few months now. I was really unsure if he would like it but he has settled in so well. The staff are super friendly and chatty, and nothing is too much trouble. He feels so grateful for the care he is getting, he feels like he is in a five-star hotel! Thank you to everyone at Dovecote, I really couldn't recommend it enough to anyone.

My friend has been a resident for many months now. I visit regularly, I am always greeted by friendly, smiley staff who make me feel very welcome and that I can visit anytime I want to.
Their care is exemplary. Their patience and kindness never ending. They are so caring and kind, to everyone, tailoring the support to each resident to ensure they are all looked after the way they need as an individual.

If the world at large could see what it's like in Dovecote, no one would fear going into a care home! I honestly cannot recommend it more highly, it's wonderful.

Mum had a respite stay back in the spring, following removing her from another 'care' home for her own safety. I placed her with Dovecote. I was so impressed with the whole ambience of Dovecote, mum has moved in permanently. It is a lively, caring and fully encompassing environment for mum to live. The staff are exceptional and keep me fully informed of events and how mum is doing. The shear number of staff is fantastic to see and I feel Dovecote create an inclusive family atmosphere.

My carer is a gem, so kind and thoughtful and helpful. Overall good. The staff were extremely willing and polite and immediately called me by my Christian name. Helpful, would have been if, on arrival, I had been given a note of meal times and routine for passing on my laundry. So pleased my family were made welcome by phone or visit.

My mother has received excellent care and attention from Dovecote. The staff are caring and positive of attitude and there have been plenty of occasions when I feel they have gone the extra mile. This 'extra' effort has been particularly evident in the way the staff have helped my mother adapt and settle. The home is clean and bright and the garden spaces provide safe and beautifully kept areas in which to be outside. I have been impressed by the way they have spotted on a couple of occasions - when nothing major has been wrong - that Mum was not quite 'herself' and have communicated this well with both myself and the GP. This attentiveness is something that you can hope for, and perhaps rightfully expect, but I know it doesn't happen everywhere. The food is good and the morning and afternoon programme of activities varied and well run. There is a continuity of staff and a welcome that gives Dovecote a family feel, it's not just another Home.

The relief I felt over a year ago when I found Dovecote was overwhelming. I have not once been disappointed in the care my mum has had at Dovecote. The team there are caring, but encourage independence, they are professional but have a sense of humour. My mum feels valued as part of the community of residents and staff at Dovecote. The home is always clean and looks cared for, and the gardens are lovely. There are daily activities for those who want to participate, and regular trips out, to places like the Weald and Downland Museum. As a visitor, I always feel welcomed, and the staff have never been abrupt to me. I am reassured that I can phone Dovecote and I get a response. The team there also phone me and communicate any concerns they may have. Above all, I feel that my mum is safe, and is in a place where she is genuinely cared for, somewhere that even if her dementia worsens she will be able to stay and people will know her personality.

My husband has been a resident at Dovecote View for almost three years now. In that time he has been cared for with kindness from all the staff. His special circumstances are always taken into consideration and I cannot fault the care he receives. There are daily activities and occasional outings, to make for extra interest. The food is excellent with a choice of menu. All this in a beautiful setting.

Dovecote View is an excellent care home. The modern building is clean, bright, very welcoming and surrounded by colourful, well-maintained and attractive gardens. There is a programme of varied activities for the residents and the catering is superb. The best thing about Dovecote View is the staff; they are friendly, kind, caring, and gentle and nothing is too much trouble. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dovecote View Care Home.

Dovecote View has provide a quality environment for my father following a nine-week stay in hospital over Christmas.
His requirement was for rest bite care (dad has early dementia) which has been provided with care, compassion, and support, all in a friendly manner. The home is meticulously clean and well maintained, with the gardens and the decking over the pond area a beautiful place for Dad to sit and watch the wildlife.
Dad has his own lovely room and has developed lots of positive relationships during his stay.

The staff all seem to be long-served and communicate with the family effectively, they are flexible in their approach and display a family, team ethic which makes the family feel comfortable that we have placed Dad in the right place!

Talisa ChallisJob Title:Registered ManagerJoined: 2008
Since joining Dovecote View in 2008, I have progressed through the company to the role of Registered Manager, and have now completed my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care, and a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management.

I have been in the post as the Home Manager since 2012, and thoroughly enjoy every aspect of my role. I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the home and ensuring our residents receive person-centred, quality care.

I am very lucky to have such a hard-working, caring team around me for support, and I am lucky to have worked alongside some of my colleagues for many years.

I am passionate about giving residents the best quality care, and I believe everyone should be cared for as if they are an extension of their own family, if it's not good enough for your own Mum or Gran, then it's not good enough! We provide personal care for up to 33 residents, and the Home is very much a family-orientated, friendly 'Home from Home'. There are not many job roles where you can say you love your job, but I feel very fortunate to have progressed to a role that I love.
