Having relations in other care homes I can honestly say Elizabeth House is by far the best I have encountered. A lovely, happy environment, with fantastic, caring and friendly staff. My uncle could not be better cared for.

Whenever I visit my nan, she is always happy and seems very comfortable. The staff always give us space and I'm usually greeted with a cup of tea for both of us. She has been a resident for over two years now and I'm glad she is there as I'm away a lot of the time, however, I am comfortable and confident
in Elizabeth House care and I am never worried.

At 92 years old my mother was unable to remain living independently in her own home. She was becoming increasingly frail with short-term memory loss. Mum was extremely distressed and unhappy at having to leave her own home. The staff at Elizabeth House welcomed her and recognised her need for independence
right from the start. Their ongoing support is sensitive and unobtrusive. Without exception, each staff member has treated mum with dignity, kindness and respect. Their support has extended to our wider family during a difficult and anxious time.

My father was transferred to Elizabeth House in May 2016 as he needed specialist Dementia care. His health was poor, he had irritation, eating issues and was generally lethargic. He is now mobile, gets involved, watches TV and eats at the table. He even makes meal choices. His skin condition is very
much improved he is clearly happy and healthy. The staff are always happy and seem to genuinely care. All the family are delighted with his care. Fantastic.

When you walk into Elizabeth House you can feel the affection. Homely atmosphere. You always get a welcome. My husband is happy at Elizabeth House and well settled. I am happy he is well looked after.

Marian

Marian Drake

Job Title: Service Manager Joined: 2008

Marian has worked in care for over 36 years initially in the London boroughs, where her knowledge grew and matured around the delivery of care for older people.


In 2008, Marian began her career with Shaw Healthcare, taking on the post of Home Manager at The Martlets in East Preston. Marian stayed there for 5 years where she brought together a great team delivering the care you would want for your own Mum.


Marian has always been passionate about dementia care so when Elizabeth House was advertising for a manager, it seemed to her the perfect place. In 2014, Marian took on the post of Home Manager at Elizabeth House. Over the past years, Marian has made several positive changes to the environment in the home, enhancing and enriching the resident's lives.


When not at work, Marian enjoys spending time with her husband, meeting up with her children, grandchildren and most recently welcoming her third great-grandchild along with walking her new pup Kokomo, a little bit of gardening time is also enjoyed.

Clare

Clare Harris

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2020

Clare joined Elizabeth House, Bognor Regis in April 2020 as Deputy Manager. Clare’s passion is in dementia care because making a difference to the service users is paramount in ensuring their mental and emotional wellness needs are met to enjoy a good quality of life.


Clare enjoys sharing her knowledge in care, with younger members of staff, supporting their progression and passion in care.


Clare arrives at work each day with very much a can-do-approach. She enjoys speaking with health professionals and families, the residents in the home remain her focus.
