Mum has been a resident at Elizabeth House for just over two years. It's a lovely bright and airy place with lots to look at. The staff treat Mum with the utmost respect and dignity they really do care. We have got to know several of the staff really well and they feel like family. It's a relief to
know Mum is safe, warm, secure and well looked after. Thank you all.

My 97-year-old mother has been a resident of Elizabeth House for nearly 3 years and she is really happy there. The care the staff give my mother is fantastic, they keep me fully informed if she becomes ill, or has any changes in her condition. I wanted to extend my sincere thanks to all the staff including
the manager, admin and carers, for their exceptional hard work.
Thank you.

My nan was a resident at Elizabeth House for 11year till she sadly passed away August 2022. The nurses and staff become our extended family over this time and took great time in getting to know us. They also made nans last few weeks full of comfort and love. I am forever grateful for what they did for
my nan and us as a family.

I am very happy with Dad's care. All the staff are lovely and so helpful. I could not wish for a better home for my father's last years. He has settled well and tells me he is very well-treated. I am so pleased that he is here. Thanks to everyone that got Dad into this home.

For the last year, my mother has been a resident at Elizabeth House. In that time I have found the staff and all-round care exceptional and I have nothing but praise for all nurses and staff involved in my mother's care. I would have no hesitation in recommending Elizabeth House to anyone looking for
a home for a relative.

My wife has been a resident for a year at Elizabeth House. She moved in after a five-week stay in hospital due to a broken hip. She was very frightened and quite difficult to give personal care to but the staff were very kind, patient and caring and gave my wife time to adjust to her new surroundings.
I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff who have dealt with my wife. They are professional and very compassionate and are well-led. My wife is happy here and responds well to the staff thanks to their care. I have no hesitation in giving this recommendation. The staff care for the residents' loved ones too and I am very grateful to them.

My mother was a resident at Elizabeth House for the past three years. The Home was recommended to us by a friend and we are so glad Mum stayed here. The bright, airy, uplifting atmosphere is felt immediately. All the staff are very caring, dedicated, and compassionate. They kept Mum safe and well during
Covid and resumed allowing visitors as soon as they possibly could. As a family, we visited regularly and Mum was always dressed smartly and clean. The hairdresser is marvellous and kept Mum's hair looking nice, even when Mum needed some encouragement to have it done. Good communication between staff and family is welcomed and this benefits everyone. They are a good team at Elizabeth House. The care of the residents is paramount. You can see them supporting each other and the atmosphere is always friendly and calm.

Lovely to see that my godmother is in a good and safe environment. The staff are lovely and it smells nice. The room was tidy and very clean. Sadly, aunt barb was a little poorly but as soon as we mentioned it, the nurse went straight in to see to her.

My dad has been a full-time resident at Elizabeth house for the last 2 1/2 years, and previously attended for respite for a number of years. During this time staff, have always been extremely professional and caring during some very difficult times. They supported him when my mum was very ill and when
she passed away, and more recently, during the pandemic, they have continued to provide fantastic care for him both physically and emotionally despite some very challenging times. The building has a feeling of space that allows residents to move around more freely than in smaller homes, and my dad is very settled and well cared for.

It was my mum's 90th birthday yesterday, we were allowed to spend 30 minutes with her in the morning, to us as a family it was a milestone and to be honest I was dreading the thought of just 30 minutes with her on this special day, however, from the moment we arrived I could tell they were also treating
it as special. We had a lovely 30 mins, shared cake and were able to give her a special gift, we left watching her push a trolley with balloons and laden with family presents and cards. A member of staff kept us supplied with photos and videos of her day which made us feel a part of it. Thank you to Elizabeth House for caring and a very special thank you to this member of staff and another in particular for your continued support and understanding.

We as a family have been more then happy with the care given to our mother. Sad to say mum has been a resident for a number of years. We cannot fault the staff or the home for all the care mum has received over the years. I recommend this home all the time to people asking. I would be more then happy
to be a resident if it ever comes to it.
We can not thank the staff enough for all they do. They should all get medals for all they do.

My mother has been in this home for two years now. Every time I visit, the staff are friendly. The home is clean. It has a homely, caring atmosphere and it has a fresh odour. There are great activities provided often. Fun banter and conversation between her and the staff occur daily and the home is
accommodating of her social life and outings. The friends that visit my Mum echo the exact same sentiments as I. This is an excellent home.

Elizabeth House offers an outstanding level of care. The staff are warm, welcoming and willing to be helpful.
Both my husband and I think that, if he has to be in a care home, he could do no better.
The architecture of the home gives an open feeling to the building. The rooms are kept clean and appropriately
furnished. As a relative, I feel well supported by all members of staff.

I have been really happy with my brother's care so far. He is very happy and usually, very well cared for. He is able to make his own choices and move freely around the home and he is well fed and is offered drinks regularly. He has his own room with his belongings displayed, sometimes his belongings
go missing which is frustrating as they are always marked with his name.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.906)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.906) out of 10 for Elizabeth House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 36 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.906 for Elizabeth House is calculated as follows: ( (389 Excellents x 5) + (34 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 426 Ratings = 4.906
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Elizabeth House is based on 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 36 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
