Green Willow Residential Home is set in a wonderful landscaped garden not far from East Preston village and close to the sea.

The home was opened in 1985 and prides itself on its high standard of care service within a homely environment.

Carers are respectful of residents from all backgrounds and cultures, care is personalised to the needs of each individual.

All 29 bedrooms at Green Willow have en suites and some have full bathrooms, each room is furnished with bespoke furniture, most rooms overlook the beautifully kept gardens through French doors, rooms are also fitted with internet, TV ports and links to the nurse call system.

The home also boasts a treatment room, 3 communal living rooms and a hairdressing suite.

Chose Green Willow for its scale (31 rooms). It is small enough to feel homely for my father. The service feels personal and the team is great: positive, caring and patient. The quality of food is very good: varied and interesting, well-chosen for the residents. The activities organiser manages a good
range of events daily, something for everyone. My experience with Green Willow, on behalf of my father, has been reassuring throughout.

Thoughtful, caring and kind. I asked my father yesterday if he was all right where he was and he said he liked it and didn't want to be anywhere else. (He'd been reluctant to move out of sheltered accommodation after a very bad fall). The food is good, the rooms are clean, there's always something on
for him to do! Very pleased.

My grandpa transferred to Green Willows following a period of rehabilitation. I found all the staff were very friendly, kind and very caring. All had good communication skills, passionate about their jobs and always willing to help where they could.
I'm very happy with the care he received and couldn't

I am unable to visit my aunt very often due to the distance between Green Willow and my home. I am very delighted and impressed with the standard of care and attention that she is given by all the staff, in particular, recently when she was ill I was informed and kept up to date with her condition and
medication and the result of her medical appointments. It was very clear that she was being very well looked after, engaged with and given caring attention and she always sings the praises of the staff whenever I visit.

My mother was becoming increasingly anxious at home and suffered from health and mobility problems. After a fall we had to find a care home at short notice. As soon as we stepped foot into Green Willow we knew it was just right for Mum. The staff are exceptionally caring, the room is sunny and bright
and the food is fantastic. After just a week Mum was settled and having her meals in the dining room and was making friends. The staff keep me fully informed of what is happening at the home and are helping Mum to become more mobile on a daily basis. I cannot thank them enough.

All the staff appear kindly, caring, patient and are always willing to try and help the residents in every way possible. We appreciated all the activities put on by Green Willow - music, film shows, parties etc., to enable social contact and companionship for the residents. We also appreciated the extra
things that were available to help the residents feel positive eg., hairdresser, chiropodist, manicurist etc. The food was tasty and nutritious and cooked on the premises. Also appreciated were the beautiful lawns and flower beds, enabling the residents to enjoy the outlook from each room.

I've been very pleased and satisfied with the care given to my mum during her 5 months stay. All the staff are very caring, thoughtful, sensitive and approachable, this includes kitchen staff and management. My mum had a bereavement during this time and there were some lovely gestures that the staff
in the home did to comfort and support her. Everyone goes out of the way with smiles which makes all the difference. I felt she was treated as an individual.

Home from home, my Father has stayed here on a number of occasions and I can honestly say that I couldn’t think of a better place for him to stay. I had major knee reconstruction and new knee replacement in November 2018 as an NHS patient and needed a little time to recuperate before returning home. Green Willow is very close and they agreed to give me care. I could see how, from an "outside" position, that the management and happy staff all contributed
to making the residents happy, well cared for and well fed. I would thoroughly recommend.

The staff here work brilliantly as a team. Kitchen staff, admin, cleaning and care team are such a joy. Each and every one of them is professional, treating the residents as individuals with the utmost respect. Any requests or desires from my friend are always honoured.

Other than saying that I would and have recommended this care home to others what else can I say. The staff are kind and diligent and this extends to all staff, the care assistants, chefs and their evening young helpers assistants. Activities appear well balanced and dignified. My mother does not take
part in these but they appear varied and meaningful. Food is just what an elderly person needs and is used to. I am always invited to join in with my mother's meals if I am there. Gardens are well kept and it is only a shame that more residents do not use it. I do not think that I would be able to match this full-time care in any way. Actual health care is in my view exemplary also.

Green Willow is an outstanding residential care home - the staff are knowledgeable, caring and always look out for the best interests of the residents. Despite being 4000 miles away I am fully informed. Both of my parents resided at Green Willow, my mother recently passed away. The staff have gone out

The manager came to see me in hospital to assess the suitability for my needs. I felt her warmth, compassion and understanding straight away. On my arrival, she welcomed me and showed me to a lovely room upstairs. Beautiful and peaceful, lovely view of the garden and pond. All the staff have been lovely,
able to chat, help and do everything possible to make my stay the supportive rest and recuperation I needed. My appetite has improved thanks to very nicely prepared and presented fresh food.

My uncle moved into Green Willow Residential Home in October 2017. He enjoyed very much being cared for in such a warm, caring and professional manner. The staff always went the extra mile for him which he appreciated. Sadly my uncle's health deteriorated in April but the staff at Green Willow Residential
Home cared for him so compassionately until he passed away in May. He had been surrounded by lovely staff and they provided comfort and understanding at a time he needed this the most. We will always be grateful for the care he received at Green Willow Residential Home. It is a wonderful home in my opinion.

Sadly, after 4 years residence at Green Willow, I have had to move my Aunt to a nursing home due to her severe dementia. In that time I cannot speak more highly of the kindness and excellent standard of care shown by all the staff at Green Willow. The home was so welcoming and jolly, a testament to
the energy of the outstanding manager. Despite my Aunt's failing health, she was given much encouragement to engage with activities at the home. Thank you!

Green Willow gave super loving care for my mother throughout the 8 and a half years of her stay, the latter years with dementia with which they coped extremely well.
Well managed and with young and friendly staff, we always felt welcome when visiting and appreciated the home comfort style of the public
rooms. Initially, my mother had a lovely room with patio door access to the garden. More recently, as her needs increased, she was moved to a large but more secluded room initially very homely furnished but slowly changed to more nursing home style.
My mother loved the dining room where seating at small tables was arranged to match compatible residents. There is a menu choice and without exception, the food was well cooked and well presented as though served at a hotel.
This is a small, well run, clean and friendly home that I am pleased to recommend to anyone who can afford such good care.

My mother was in Green Willow Care Home for 8 1/2 years. Over that period her dementia steadily increased, as did her care needs. The care she received from the lovely Green Willow staff was exemplary. Even when she became increasingly confused, often thinking she was in a hotel, she would tell me how
nice it was, how good the staff were and how excellent the food. Her room was a good size and in the early days she enjoyed being able to walk straight into the pretty garden. The staff were so kind to Mum and clearly fond of her which was a great comfort.

Josie Dalli

Job Title: Operations Director

I am the Operations Director of Kew Care Group and I support all the residents and the teams of staff at our four homes. I visit the homes regularly to check quality, to offer support and to share new initiatives.


I am a physiotherapist by training and I have always loved working with the elderly. I went back to the NHS after having kids but decided that Care Homes would give me the perfect flexibility and the group started in 2002. I love my job and the ever-evolving challenges that it brings. My husband Dominic works in the City of London and he is also a director of the Care Home business. His skills ensure that the homes run like clockwork and meet all the right budgets.
I also love my family and my children Luke and Grace who are moving into teenage-hood and keeping me on my toes. We also have a dog and a cat. I love walking and working in my garden. We go on holiday to Portugal every year and love travelling further afield when we can.


The best piece of advice that I have ever read is in a quote from Maya Angelou – “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel” and I try to remember this at work and at home!

I started working in health & social care in 2001. When I graduated from Cardiff University with a BA Education, I initially wanted to teach but fell in love with elderly care and joined Kew Care Group in 2008 shortly after the purchase of the Home. I later achieved my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in 2013.


I was Registered Manager at Cleeve Lodge for 10 years and then handed over the reins to Risa. I left on a high though after achieving an Outstanding rating from CQC!


The best piece of advice that I was once given was to teach and mentor others and they will be the best reflection of you.

Job Title: Business Operations Manager

I have worked for Kew Care Group for 12 years. In January 2019 I was promoted to Business Operations Manger and now look after the finances in the 4 Homes within the Group. I previously worked at Cleeve Lodge initially as a Administrator, which I loved. I also got involved in the activities for the residents and enjoyed going out on outings with them. I have currently past my NVQ 3 in leadership and management. I enjoy working for Kew Care group as it has a very personal approach to staff and promotes a homely feeling in each of their Homes.


I have been married for 21 years to Gary and have two boys aged 17 and 15 years old. I enjoy family time when not working which consists of holidays, weekends away and spectating both my children playing football. I don’t particularly like football but really enjoy supporting them on the side line even if I do embarrass them sometimes not knowing the rules of the game!!!


Someone asked me, if I had a choice what would I choose in life to be Wealthy, Healthy or Happy. I chose happy because if you are always happy nothing much else matters.

Hi, I’m Amy, Manager of Green Willow a small home in West Sussex near the sea! We support residents over 65 with short stays where needed, or if daily support is required and individuals have made the hard decision to stay here permanently. We are very much an extended family to the residents and staff, we share in each other's joys and celebrations and are there through the sadder times. Our annual Jazz In the Garden festival is known widely throughout the community!


I started working at Green Willow in 2015 as a care assistant before taking on the Manager role in 2020. I grew up in a family that worked in health and social care, which supported me in undertaking my Level 5 in leadership and management.


I have two young boys, Theodore & Zachary who are 3 & 1 years old, who regularly visit the home, and join in with the many wonderful activities our home has to offer, I’m passionate about inter-generational activities and love that my children can have a positive impact on those I look after. One of my favourite quotes is “Somewhere inside all of us is the power to change the world” from the BFG - Roald Dahl, often we forget that one small interaction can change the course of someone’s entire day for the better, and is one of the many reasons I started working in care from the age of 17.

I started at Green Willow as part of the housekeeping, before moving onto the care team and then being promoted to Team Leader focusing on care quality within the home and working my way up to Deputy Manager. I’m a caring person who’s always liked to help others. I love getting to know new things about the residents and learning new things myself. I have a son Aaron whom I’m very proud of I love going to the air arena with him. I previously trained as a hairdresser and still enjoy doing hair occasionally.
