All of the staff are wonderful and really do care about the residents. She is so happy there.
Well done Green Willow!
Thank you so much, we love looking after your aunt as much as she loves ice-cream!
Dad has resided at Green Willow for many years now. Having spent time researching the local area and other homes, Green Willow was by far the nicest, cleanest and friendliest. The staff can't do enough to help, no matter what the issue. Every month has a fun packed activity calendar. So glad we chose Green Willow for Dad.
Thank you so much for your lovely words! We love having Dad with us!
My mother very quickly settled into her new surroundings. A full range of activities keep her entertained and the menu more than satisfies her appetite. Her room is comfortable and well appointed. All of the staff are very friendly.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we love having your mum with us and getting involved with all the activities!
I have found Green Willow Residential Home to be a very good residential home for my 95-year-old aunt. She is very happy there and she is looked after. The entertainment, in particular, is very good and keeps her interested.
Mum only agreed to go to a care home for respite care if it was to be Green Willow as she already knew of its good reputation. During what sadly turned out to be the last few remaining weeks of her life, I felt that she could not have received better care and attention from each and every one of the lovely staff there. Mum enjoyed her time at Green Willow and her bright, clean, spacious room with a view on to the magnificent garden. My impression is that the home is very well run by an experienced, friendly team headed up by a very capable Registered Manager.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Howard, we’re glad Mum’s remaining weeks were that of comfort and care, where she wanted to be.
The staff are so pleasant here, nothing is too much trouble, you ask and they try to help you. Once again, learn to be patient and learn that everyone does their best, that is all you can ask. The food is well presented and it is varied and if you want extra roasties you just ask. While I was staying, the staff gave me lovely baths which I hadn't had for many years so it was a lovely treat.
We loved having you stay with us, and hope you’ll have another holiday with us soon!
My aunt lived in Green Willow for three and a half years. She had a lovely bright room with lots of natural light and a nice view overlooking the wonderful garden. The garden has a fish pond in it, a vegetable patch, an outhouse and some beautiful trees and plants. The activities put on for residents are extremely good. Living far away from my aunt meant that I didn't visit as much as I would have liked too if I had lived in Sussex. It was reassuring to see that every time my family and I visited and spoke to the staff on the phone, we were treated with respect and dignity. We all felt that my aunt was extremely well cared for. The staff are very thoughtful in updating the family with important news which made all the difference to us, given that my aunt had Alzheimer's Disease and was often unable to recall things. We honestly feel that my aunt couldn't have found a better home in her final few years. Thank you enormously for all of your support.
We loved having your aunt with us and were delighted when she decided to return to us permanently after only returning home for one night after a brief respite period! She is greatly missed by staff and residents!
Green Willow is an exemplary residential home. My mother-in-law resides there and it really is a home from home. Caring staff who go the extra mile to look after our loved ones. Amazing activities provided and when the time comes I will be booking my room!
We love having your mother-in-law with us, we'll gladly book you a room!
My wife stayed for three weeks to give me respite. She said it was excellent and the staff were great. Says she was very happy there and very well looked after. Enough said really!
We loved having your wife stay with us whilst you enjoyed a well-deserved break, we hope to see you both again when it's needed!
Friends that are currently living at Green Willow Residential Home appear happy and contented, well cared for with a variety of activities provided each day if they so choose to join in. In-house and outdoor activities are offered and often hear about their experiences and memories made.
Thank you for being a lovely friend and neighbour to our home, we couldn't do it without your support!
We have a relative resident at Green Willow Residential Home. We have visits to the home at irregular times. We have always found the home in all aspects excellent.
Thank you for your review, it helps other people looking at care homes so much to have reviews like yours. And our staff really appreciate the feedback too.
Mum moved to Green Willow Residential Home in August 2021 during the pandemic, but we were allowed into her room which helped enormously in settling her in. She had a few ups and downs at the beginning due to her condition but the Green Willow Team have always been very accommodating and we have found them very responsive to any requests. Mum is now much more settled and is enjoying some of the (many) activities on offer. It's lovely seeing her interact with other residents after being on her own for so long. The home is light and airy with two nice lounges, a separate dining room serving lovely meals and the whole home is surrounded by fantastic gardens which are easily accessible to mum and other residents. Would definitely recommend giving Green Willow Residential Home a try!
Best wishes.
Can’t say enough about Green Willow. My aunt has received great care and made lovely relationships with residents and care staff. Wonderful food, care home well presented, beautiful gardens and a full programme of activities. Thank you.
Thank you so much, we love having your aunt here with us, especially her colourful hats!
Green Willow Residential Home provides such a wonderful experience for my friends. There are activities every day if they wish to partake and visits to surrounding areas in their minibus to keep them connected to the places they love. Such a caring environment.
We love having your "church girls" and are so glad they can start coming out into the community again. We hope to see you at our Jazz In The Garden this week!
Have just seen wonderful photos of your Jubilee celebrations. Absolutely wonderful how you celebrate with the residents and organise such fun things to do. This happens every week as well from tasting afternoons to making crowns and of course fitness fun and games.
Thank you so much for your support, we're all worn out from a weekend of celebrating Her Majesty!
and beyond to help you. The food is amazing.
I couldn’t fault it in any way. It is the only care home I would go to when and if I need to.
We loved having you stay, we hope to see you for your next holiday!
We chose Green Willow for our 100-year-old mother as it had a family feel and wasn't too big. The rooms open out onto the garden. My mother has settled in well and joins in the many activities. The staff are very caring and are good with communications. My mother enjoys the meals.
Thank you for the lovely review; we love having your mother, and feedback like this is so motivating for staff. Best wishes.
The home has been fabulous since my mother moved there just before Christmas. The communication has been fantastic both specifically related to mum and on issues affecting all residents. Most recently the introduction of a 'pod' to enable visits was done speedily and the process to use it really easy - covid safe and every step clearly laid out. The staff are really friendly, professional and willing to help to make things as easy as possible. It all gives me confidence in the care mum is getting - backed up by what she tells me!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is so helpful for other families looking into care for the first time. We are so pleased the pod visits are easy and are providing comfort to residents and families. Many thanks.
Excellent.
I was very satisfied with my mother's stay at the home and with the care she received. It was disappointing that she had to wait four days before her telephone was connected, (she hasn't got a mobile) and a few days before the remote control for the TV was found, especially as she was in self-isolation. My mother did say that the picture was poor.
We're pleased to hear you mum's stay was satisfactory, as explained at the time of assessment the week your mother was due to come into Green Willow our maintenance was on annual leave causing a delay in a personal landline. However, the mobiles around the home are available 24/7 for residents to use and families to call to maintain those links with friends/family and the community.

Meet the Team (5)

I am the Operations Director of Kew Care Group and I support all the residents and the teams of staff at our four homes. I visit the homes regularly to check quality, to offer support and to share new initiatives.
I am a physiotherapist by training and I have always loved working with the elderly. I went back to the NHS after having kids but decided that Care Homes would give me the perfect flexibility and the group started in 2002. I love my job and the ever-evolving challenges that it brings. My husband Dominic works in the City of London and he is also a director of the Care Home business. His skills ensure that the homes run like clockwork and meet all the right budgets.I also love my family and my children Luke and Grace who are moving into teenage-hood and keeping me on my toes. We also have a dog and a cat. I love walking and working in my garden. We go on holiday to Portugal every year and love travelling further afield when we can.
The best piece of advice that I have ever read is in a quote from Maya Angelou – “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel” and I try to remember this at work and at home!

I am Helen Haughton, I support the Homes in the Kew Care Group as Operations Manager.
I started working in health & social care in 2001. When I graduated from Cardiff University with a BA Education, I initially wanted to teach but fell in love with elderly care and joined Kew Care Group in 2008 shortly after the purchase of the Home. I later achieved my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in 2013.
I was Registered Manager at Cleeve Lodge for 10 years and then handed over the reins to Risa. I left on a high though after achieving an Outstanding rating from CQC!
The best piece of advice that I was once given was to teach and mentor others and they will be the best reflection of you.

I have worked for Kew Care Group for 12 years. In January 2019 I was promoted to Business Operations Manger and now look after the finances in the 4 Homes within the Group. I previously worked at Cleeve Lodge initially as a Administrator, which I loved. I also got involved in the activities for the residents and enjoyed going out on outings with them. I have currently past my NVQ 3 in leadership and management. I enjoy working for Kew Care group as it has a very personal approach to staff and promotes a homely feeling in each of their Homes.
I have been married for 21 years to Gary and have two boys aged 17 and 15 years old. I enjoy family time when not working which consists of holidays, weekends away and spectating both my children playing football. I don’t particularly like football but really enjoy supporting them on the side line even if I do embarrass them sometimes not knowing the rules of the game!!!
Someone asked me, if I had a choice what would I choose in life to be Wealthy, Healthy or Happy. I chose happy because if you are always happy nothing much else matters.

Hi, I’m Amy, Manager of Green Willow a small home in West Sussex near the sea! We support residents over 65 with short stays where needed, or if daily support is required and individuals have made the hard decision to stay here permanently. We are very much an extended family to the residents and staff, we share in each other's joys and celebrations and are there through the sadder times. Our annual Jazz In the Garden festival is known widely throughout the community!
I started working at Green Willow in 2015 as a care assistant before taking on the Manager role in 2020. I grew up in a family that worked in health and social care, which supported me in undertaking my Level 5 in leadership and management.
I have two young boys, Theodore & Zachary who are 3 & 1 years old, who regularly visit the home, and join in with the many wonderful activities our home has to offer, I’m passionate about inter-generational activities and love that my children can have a positive impact on those I look after. One of my favourite quotes is “Somewhere inside all of us is the power to change the world” from the BFG - Roald Dahl, often we forget that one small interaction can change the course of someone’s entire day for the better, and is one of the many reasons I started working in care from the age of 17.

I started at Green Willow as part of the housekeeping, before moving onto the care team and then being promoted to Team Leader focusing on care quality within the home and working my way up to Deputy Manager. I’m a caring person who’s always liked to help others. I love getting to know new things about the residents and learning new things myself. I have a son Aaron whom I’m very proud of I love going to the air arena with him. I previously trained as a hairdresser and still enjoy doing hair occasionally. My favourite quotes are: “If it’s not recorded it didn’t happen” & “There’s no I in team”.
