Our lovely grandma/mother recently passed, sadly. We were so grateful for the care she received at Cleeve Lodge, in the final years of her life. We couldn't have picked a better place, her quality of life improved when she initially went in there. She got along with all the staff & other residents, was well looked after & enjoyed all the activities on offer.

Thank you from the family, you are all amazing :)

Mum moved into Cleeve Lodge three months ago and in this time I can see that she is more herself again. She settled in well due to the lovely caring staff and she has made new friends. You are welcomed to spend quality time with your loved ones. It has given me great peace knowing she is well cared for 24/7.

My mother received fantastically supportive care over the last 2 years of her life. Despite her being unwilling to leave her room the staff did all they could to meet her mental + physical needs. They worked tirelessly to engage with her. I could not have asked for better end of life care. Her final 2 weeks were compassionate + dignified. Her comfort was their biggest priority This is truly a caring + loving environment. Residents are all part of an amazing family, care is expensive, but so very worth it.

My dad spent the last 6 weeks of his life at Cleeve Lodge. I would like to thank the staff and in particular the manager who always made us feel welcome as a family when we would visit Dad/Grandad. She was great at keeping us up to date and was always easy to communicate with. Dads room was lovely and airy and the front living room was a lovely space with sunlight and a homely feel. I was relieved my dad was safe and well cared for. Thankyou. X

We are truly absolutely blown away by every aspect of this amazing outstanding care home.
Exemplary care standards, truly second to none. Professional and genuinely devoted to every single resident. The staff take so much time and care that you come away feeling like they are left with family, '

it is truly family'. The staff are compassionate and dedicated showing love and care to all. My mother thinks she's in a 5 star hotel and keeps telling me she can't believe it, how lucky she is, it's that amazing. We feel truely blessed to have our mother here. The facilities are immaculate, it is warm and welcoming. There are lots of activities and fun to be had. It is without question the finest care home we have ever seen (we have seen a lot) home from home. We cannot thank Corrine and the team for all their help, dedication and devotion. You go above and beyond every single day with love, compassion and always happiness. Thank you so much on behalf of Marion and family xxx

It was a difficult decision to put Mum in a care home, but necessary. Why did we worry? She was looked after by loving, sensitive, caring staff. Westbourne is not a care home but a home that cares. Mum passed in December 2023. It was a no-brainer when mum-in-law needed care. Westbourne was number one on the list. Luckily, they were able to take mum-in-law, and it has given her a new lease of life. It's so heartwarming to see her so happy. Thank you, Westbourne. You are angels.

Mum moved into Westbourne about 10 months ago. She is very happy there and loves the way she is cared for. All of the staff are excellent and extremely caring. She settled in very quickly and we have no worries at all. Every time I visit, she has tales to tell of the fun she has had with the varied activities and day trips. I could not recommend them highly enough.

My father has been here since 18th February 2026, and I can honestly say that he has settled in well. I have found all the staff very friendly and helpful. They are all passionate about their work. I cannot find one single thing to criticise. I would thoroughly recommend this care home to everyone. My father, James, went out with many of the others yesterday on a canal barge; they had a lovely time. I rate Westbourne Care Home 5 stars.

My brother and I had viewed several other much larger homes and didn't like the atmosphere. This home is very small in comparison, and on initial viewing with Debbie, we both felt the home had a good vibe. We felt that it was just like being at home, not in an institution. The residents are treated like a member of a large family which we liked. Mum was treated very well considering she was suffering with a session of delirium after her stay in hospital which made her very difficult to deal with. The staff were great and supportive and took it in stride. Although mum was there for a relatively short time of a few weeks, she did start to calm towards the end, but in all fairness mum was very frail and ill at this point in her life. Mum was bed ridden during her time there so didn't try out the activities etc.. but I could see them going on with other residents who were enjoying it. The house is very old 15th century, so all the walls and floors are wonky, but its quirky in a good way!

It was an emotional decision to put my 93 year old Mum into a care home, but as soon as I walked into Westbourne Care Home I felt the warmth, cre and professionalism was outstanding. Mum has been at Westbourne Care Home since July 2024. She has advanced dementia and also cannot walk so needs help with everything. The staff are wonderful with her; they are caring and patient and always treat mum with respect. Added to this they are cheerful. I visit twice weekly, there is always a cup of tea on offer, and staff update me as to how mum is and what she has been doing. Mum is happy and settled. The meals are varied and plentiful. There are a wide range of activities offered throughout the week to keep residents entertained and the staff go that extra mile in meeting the residents needs.

I would recommend Westbourne to anyone looking for a friendly, happy care home.

My aunt stayed at this residential home for a couple of weeks, and it was outstanding. The staff were incredibly caring and attentive, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that felt like family. The facilities were spotless, the meals delicious and nutritious, and the activities kept her engaged and happy. Even in such a short time, we saw a real positive difference in her wellbeing. Highly recommended - five stars without hesitation."

My wife has been a resident since November 24 and has dementia and mobility problems. I visit Westbourne 4 times a week and I'm always greeted with a warm hello from all members of the staff.

I'm very pleased with my wife's care, she's always clean, nicely dressed and cared for. All the staff are very calm, patient and loving with her and the other residents in her wing.

She can't remember ever eating any of the food! But having sampled the food on a number of occasions it's always very tasty and varied. Cups of tea and snacks are always on hand.

Her room is always neat, tidy and spotlessly clean. I'm very grateful for the care Westbourne gives my wife.
