My father-in-law was with Manorfield for the last few months of his life, he was treated with such amazing care, compassion and kindness. I literally can’t thank the team at Manorfield enough. Unfortunately, we had bad experiences in other care homes and I am so relieved that we trusted the manager and another lady with his final few months - you only get one chance to get that right and they went above and beyond. We never once saw him looking less than immaculate which just shows how much effort all the team put into caring for their residents. I work in care homes and so have the experience to be able to judge when a home is a good home Manorfield definitely is a great home which I would recommend to anyone.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. It is heart-warming that you speak so highly of our Care Team and Home. Here at Manorfield, we strive to excel in our field and your kind words reflect that we are achieving the standards we pride ourselves on.
Mum was a resident at Manorfield for a little under a year. Lovely, bright room suitable for low vision. Lovely, caring and capable staff. All on the level, so easy for mobility issues. Unquestionably the best place for her.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service and for your comments. We are very pleased that you felt it was unquestionably the best place for your mum.
A member of my family has been in the home now for about 6 months. I cannot speak highly enough of Manorfield in which she is treated, the care of the staff and management, the meals provided and the setting of the home, together with the upkeep of the grounds. She has been made to feel very welcome, as have I.
Thank you for your lovely review - it is music to our ears that Mum is happy and living in a 'hotel' - wow that is so nice to read and to witness. It is never an easy decision to choose a care home for our loved ones but hopefully, we shall continue to ensure Mum receives five-star service at our...
Mum has been living at Manorfield for 8 months and has been very well looked after. The home is purpose-built and so feels light and airy, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for gatherings or just sitting. The facilities, food and activities are very good, but it is the staff that makes the difference; everybody is welcoming and friendly, and prepared to go above and beyond to help whenever necessary. Staff are keen to get to know residents as individuals and they really do care. It is not an easy decision finding the best place to care for your loved ones, but the team at Manorfield give you confidence that all will be well.
Thank you for taking the time to review our care home. It is very reassuring for us to know that your mum is happy. Your comments about us all are so lovely, thank you very much, it means a great deal to Team Manorfield to know that what we 'do' makes a difference to our residents' lives and also...
In the time that my father has been there, the team has remained largely unchanged which must reflect on the wonderful management team who have created such a loving, happy and caring ambience at Manorfield.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of our service. We are delighted that you are happy with our care and that your father is happy. It is lovely when a family is very supportive as well, so we all thank you for that too.
As a family, our priority is that Mum is happy and at Manorfield, she truly has found her home, a place where she is extremely happy and is well looked after.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review about Manorfield. Your comments are so lovely and we are delighted that Mum is happy with us all in her home. It is lovely to know that Mum enjoys all the 'treats' of the day with a smile and giggle, as they say 'laughter is good for the heart' so...
Mum told me she thought she was living in a hotel, starting the day with breakfast in bed.
Mum loves all the kind attention from the wonderful Manorfield team which so often comes with a nice cup of tea and a friendly chat and a giggle! Mum loves the entertainment and joining in with all the different activities each day! She can’t believe she doesn’t have to worry about anything or have to cook. Enjoying very much the delicious meals every day and making new friends!
Mum is looked after with such kindness and respect and her medical care is excellent!
Mum told me nothing is ever too much trouble if she gets a bit muddled and has questions!
The excellent senior leadership team keep me well informed of how my mum is doing which brings me and my family great comfort!
And now I’m crying with gratitude for Manorfied’s wonderful team!

My mother has been a resident for the past year. We, unfortunately, had to find her alternative accommodation and care after numerous falls and frequent visits to hospital due to this. We were advised that she was unable to care for herself at home and the carers visiting 4 times a day were not sufficient for her needs. We chose Manorfield on recommendation and we have been really pleased with our choice. My mother settled in very quickly which was very reassuring, as she has advanced dementia and she arrived at Manorfield during lockdown. From day one she has had the benefits of being in a safe secure environment and the reassurance of excellent caring staff and a lovely team of people looking after her.
Thank you for your lovely review of our care home. It fills me with pride to read your comments, thank you so much. I am delighted that you are happy with our care of your lovely mum; your support is also very much appreciated by the team. It is the hardest decision to have to find a care home for...
My mother has had nothing but praise for the quality of Manorfield’s catering.

Manorfield is a wonderful home. The staff are absolutely amazing and looked after Dad with such love, care and compassion. It feels like a family home. Everyone is treated as an individual. Residents can bring anything they like to furnish or decorate their rooms. Every effort is made to ensure people have the food they like too. The garden and fish pond is a peaceful space, ideal for a coffee with Dad. We have great memories of the summer parties. The Christmas decorations are amazing and birthdays are always celebrated. My dad lived there for three years and was very happy. When it came to end of life care, the team made every effort to ensure Dad's wishes were respected and he was treated with dignity and compassion. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I recommend Manorfield unreservedly.
Thank you for your lovely comments about Manorfield and we are so pleased that you were happy with our care and facilities. As a family, you supported us beautifully which we all appreciated. Dad was an amazing gentleman with amazing stories of his life and we all enjoyed caring for him. Thank you for taking the time to review our service, it means a lot to everyone at Manorfield.
Manorfield Residential Home is truly outstanding. They took care of all my father's needs from when he moved in in June 2018 to when he sadly passed away last month. The staff are extremely caring and professional at all times, I can't speak highly enough of their dedication. They also kept me and my family informed regularly, and phone-calls and emails were regular.
My dad very much enjoyed his time at Manorfield. I don't live nearby but pre-Covid visits were always such a pleasure. I never had any doubt that my dad was being very well looked after.
The home is clean, well maintained, with a lovely garden, home-cooked food and regular entertainments.During lockdowns, the staff arranged weekly Zoom calls with the family which was much appreciated.
I couldn't have been happier that we chose Manorfield.
Thank you for your review of our care home and your lovely comments. I am pleased that you were happy with your lovely fathers' care; your comments will be passed on to the team and really are appreciated by us all, thank you very much. We all thank you for your support too, which was always so willingly offered and given. Take care we all send you and all the family our warmest regards.
Mother is now approaching her 101st birthday. She spent her 100th birthday last June in full lockdown, but Manorfield organised a party for her with the other residents attending in person and more than 30 of her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren plus partners "attending" via Zoom, which turned out to be a very special occasion for us all.
I would recommend Manorfield to anyone looking for a caring, friendly home with a family atmosphere.
Thank you for taking the time to review Manorfield. It is really lovely to for us all to know that you enjoy our family atmosphere, a comment which will be passed on to the team, who will be delighted. Your comments are very much appreciated by us all and we are happy that your mum is happy and you...
Very high and consistent standards of care. As a visitor have always felt very welcomed and that my gran is in very safe hands. The staff organised a wonderful 100th birthday party for my gran last June which we were able to join remotely.
Thank you for your review of Manorfield. Your support, as a family, is very much appreciated by us all. Your comments will be passed on to the Team, thank you for your kind words, they mean a great deal. We are all now looking forward to celebrating your lovely nan's 101st birthday.
My mother was discharged from hospital after another fall just as we went into yet another lockdown. I had to find a care home that would fulfil her needs and be able to take her, quickly. Fortunately, I found Manorfield. They have been helpful, friendly, professional and thoughtful throughout. They looked after Mum during respite, kept her safe, and now that she needs more care, they have stepped up to provide her with this. Although Mum would love to come back home, I could not keep her safe here, I know she is safe and well cared for at Manorfield. The team are always willing to pass a phone to her when I or another relative wants a chat! They keep me informed and do many, many things every day to keep her active and entertained. The covid restrictions have been really tough on everyone, but they have handled them all very well. I would love to have Mum back at home, of course, but as that is no longer possible, Manorfield definitely provides the next best thing!
Thank you for your review of Manorfield; the Team and I thank you for taking the time to review our home. We are so pleased that you and your mum are happy with our care and facilities. It warms our hearts to know our Residents and their families feel happy and supported, especially over this last challenging year. Thank you for your support too, which is appreciated by us all.
What a wonderful care home. Manorfield is the perfect place for someone who needs additional support. My dad moved in January 2021. The transition moving from his home was made very easy for him by the wonderful caring team. He settled very quickly and enjoyed his new home. This all happened whilst we have been in lockdown due to Covid 19 and even though these circumstances have been particularly challenging my dad has received nothing but the highest standard of care from what can only be described as a dedicated team. The home is clean and spacious. Food is home-cooked. Activities are provided for the residents which my dad really enjoyed. To be honest I can't say enough positive things about it and would recommend this care home without a second thought.
Dear Sally, thank you for your taking the time to review our care home. Your lovely comments will be shared with our team and are very much appreciated by us all. Moving into a care home is not easy for families; I am pleased that we were all, as a team, able to make the transition a little easier for you all as a family.
My gran is very well looked after from the excellent care staff here. I've had the pleasure of visiting her once a week pre-COVID and have just seen her for the first time post lockdown. They took the very best care in making my visit enjoyable and safe. My gran is challenging to deal with at times due to her dementia but she loves the staff which says a lot about their very high standards.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of Manorfield. It is very reassuring for us to know that our residents families are happy with the care, that we deliver and that their loved ones are happy in their home. Your support is appreciated by us all.
My Grandfather has been a resident at Manorfield for well over a year now and it is so very reassuring for me to know that he is well cared for in a safe and caring environment. I feel that he is respected as the gentlemen that he is. During the extremely stressful time that Covid-19 has been, I cannot fault the team at Manorfield. Their professionalism and dedication to their residents should be applauded. As we know, the outcome could have been so very different. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely comments about Manorfield and we are all very pleased that your grandfather is happy in our care. Your support is also very much appreciated by us all, thank you so much.
My husband, who suffers from Alzheimer's, has now been at Manorfield for six months. From the day he arrived, he has always seemed very happy and content. The staff are wonderful and treat him with kindness and respect. They are always smiling and there is a very happy atmosphere in the home whenever we visit. Only some of the residents have dementia but all residents are together and there are no locks to the doors. In the other homes I had visited the dementia residents were in a separate wing and kept isolated from the main Home. Two months after my husband moved into Manorfield coronavirus happened and we have not been able to visit him for 4 months. During this time the staff have been in regular contact and have sent us photos and an email every week. They could not have done more during this lockdown period. I would not hesitate in recommending Manorfield to anyone looking for a home for a relative or friend.
A fantastic home with incredibly caring staff led by a wonderful manager. My mother has been a resident at Manorfield for many years and I would say the care that she receives is outstanding. As a relative, nothing is too much trouble for the dedicated team of carers, from offers of cups of tea to visitors on arrival to emails and photos of special times experienced by Mum when I can't be with her. The home is immaculate, the entire team of staff are polite, dedicated and extremely compassionate. Mum is very comfortable and happy there. Every resident is certainly an individual whose needs are met and catered for on a one to one basis. Having been a nurse myself years ago and worked in various care homes, I can honestly say I have never experienced a care home which is so friendly and the residents so well cared for. Thank you Manorfield.
Thank you for your lovely review and for taking the time out, especially being nurse yourself once, you know all about care, which makes your review, all the more special. You have always been so supportive with your lovely mum's care, which is wonderful for Team Manorfield. I am so pleased that...
Manorfield Residential Home provided outstanding care for my elderly mother during her stay for end-of-life care following a bowel cancer diagnosis. From the moment I set foot in this wonderful care home, (the only one I visited which felt like a proper home), my mother and I were treated with the utmost respect and compassion. All the care team are wonderful - they deliver care efficiently and professionally but with an extra layer of compassion and understanding which comes from genuine care for their residents. This care home and all their staff deserve the highest accolades - I would not have wished my mother to be anywhere else, and this was especially true during the recent lockdown when I was unable to visit at all for the residents' safety. Thank you Manorfield from the bottom of my heart. I know that my mother died in peace with no pain or distress and this was due to your outstanding care.
Thank you for your review. Your words are comforting to us all and we are so pleased that you felt the love and care from Team Manorfield. It was a pleasure to look after your lovely mum, she was a very special lady with a beautiful smile and we adored her. You were very kind to us all, so...
