Scotch Dyke prepare and cook all meals and can provide meals suited to all tastes and dietary requirements. They bake a birthday cake for each resident's birthday and make their birthdays a special occasion for them. If I ever have to go into a care home I hope I can find one near to where I live which provides the same excellent service. I wish the home well.
Thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure looking after your relative, she will be sadly missed
We sadly lost Mum at the end of March 2023, Mum died at Scotch Dyke, and their care of us and Mum towards the end was exceptional. We miss visiting as we got to know most of the staff.
I would 100% recommend Scotch Dyke as a wonderful, caring care home.
We were given a personal recommendation for Scotch Dyke and family members independently visited the home. All were immediately impressed by the home: by its ambience, the excellent state of the house and gardens but most of all by the staff. This positive impression continued throughout my mother's stay. Her room was very pleasant, and she was able to move rooms at one point during her stay. The food was excellent, and plenty of tea and cake were offered to family and visitors! The communication between management/staff and ourselves was excellent. All the staff, without exception, treated our mother with the utmost kindness and respect throughout her stay. Whilst she did not engage in some of the activities offered, all the staff were happy to talk and listen to my mother, and they developed a very good rapport. The home is clean and well-maintained. The family felt reassured that our mother was in such a caring environment.
When I walked into Scotch Dyke, I knew immediately that I had found the place I had been looking for. The manager and deputy made the whole process so smooth, from my first visit to the home assessment and then the move. They helped me and Mum through the whole process, always answering my questions, reassuring us and listening to their advice and experience helped immensely.
Communication is exemplary, and we are welcome at any time. Every member of staff is kind, patient and goes above and beyond. I have sat and listened to the activities they have done, and the patience of the staff brought tears to my eyes.
Mum is happy and feels cared for and at home at Scotch Dyke.
The home is clean, Mum's room is wonderful, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. It is full of smiles, laughter and love. I have 100% trust in the care provided and am so grateful for the peace of mind they have given me.
An excellent care home not only for my Mum but for us as a family knowing all these things. We are always welcome to come anytime and they welcome you with open arms and lots of lovely functions, we are always invited.
They do everything to accommodate my mum and us. We cannot praise this care home enough.
Scotch Dyke is a magnificent care home, the manager and all the staff looked after my mother extremely well for 3 years and the whole family had 100% trust and faith in the care provided and always had peace of mind. All essential concerns, i.e. drinks and emergency bell being to hand for the resident was ensured and the bell was always answered within a couple of minutes. The staff always kept the family informed when an necessary and never hesitated to call for a doctor if needed for which I am grateful. The food was nutritious and tasty and entertainment provided. My mother and I would like to thank all the staff for all they did for her.
