I am so very happy that my mother is a resident of St Wilfrid's. She likes the staff, the environment and the activities - she also enjoys the food even eating some dishes she would have declined in the past. My wife and I see that she is tremendously well cared for and her room, in fact, all areas, are kept very clean and hygienic such that we have no concern about infections. Her health is closely monitored and the staff keep us in the picture when occasionally due to her age something goes awry. St. Wilfrids is a cheerful and friendly home. The staff are all very personable, and the management is very efficient and accommodating such that nothing is too much trouble; they have regular relative meetings and the management listen and respond to any questions or concerns that are raised and based on the most recent meeting I would say that in the eyes of the relatives present everything seems to be running really well. I have no hesitation in recommending St Wilfrid's.
What lovely feedback, thank you! We really appreciate you taking the time to write us a review and for sharing your experience of our home. It's wonderful that your mother is enjoying life at St Wilfrid's. Please do let us know if there is anything else she (or your family) needs.
The home itself is gentle and has a lovely, easily accessible garden.
Thanks for your kind words and your feedback on our manager and the home. I'm glad we've been able to support you and your loved one at St Wilfrid's Priory.
St Wilfrid's is a very happy and friendly home. It is bright, airy and beautifully clean. The staff are all very friendly, and the management is very efficient and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. I have no hesitation in recommending St Wilfrid's.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review and for your recommendation. I have shared your feedback with our home manager at St Wilfrid's, as I know it means a lot to the team there.
The moment we walked into St Wilfried's, my sister and I thought we'd found the perfect place for Mum. It's small, friendly and personal, and the building itself helps it feel like a real home - not an institution. Many of the staff have been here for years, so there's a great sense of continuity and any issues are quickly resolved.
I'm so glad you've found the perfect place for your mum at St Wilfrid's! Thank you for taking the time to write and share your experiences of our home. I will pass on your feedback to the team, as I know they love to hear it.
My mother has been a resident at St Wilfried's for almost a year. The staff are kind and caring and very friendly, and my mother is very happy here. The room is comfortable, with a lovely view from the window. The quality of care is very good. She feels safe and well looked after.
Thanks very much for taking the time to write us a review and give us your feedback - it's much appreciated, and I'll pass on your comments to the team at St Wilfrid's, who love to hear them. I'm glad your mother is happy with us.
The staff are first class.
Thank you for your kind feedback. So glad to hear your brother is happy in the home. We'll pass this on to the team.
The activities coordinator has found extra activities to suit his needs, and he loves going into the beautiful garden when the weather allows. He also tells me that the food is excellent!
We're delighted that he's so happy at St Wilfrid's, so a big thank you to all the wonderful staff!
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely and detailed comment. I am so glad to hear your brother is enjoying life at the home and feels connected to the team. I will pass this on to them.
When a family member needs care that can't be provided at home, it is a really hard decision to come to. At St Wilfrid's we were able to feel confident that Dad was being looked after by such a wonderful group of staff.
I highly recommend this care home.
The care staff are caring, thoughtful and available.
Mum gets personal care and attention.
The staff communicate clearly, and I feel involved in all decisions.
The building is lovely, warm and welcoming.
We came to visit a friend of my brother's as they were together for 33 years. The staff were so welcoming and had a welcome cup of tea after a two-hour journey. The residents all seem very happy, and he said the food was excellent and the activities.
Mum stayed for 8 weeks and was well cared for during her stay. All the staff are professional yet friendly. Nothing was too much bother, and they went out of their way to accommodate Mum's needs. I would not hesitate to use the Priory again should Mum need more respite care.
My husband was transferred from the hospital after a stroke in September 2021. He needed a lot of care and attention, which I was not able to give him because of my own health and age problems. He had lots of falls due to his poor health. I was happy he was in a safe place as it was impossible for me to lift him when he fell.
I want to thank them for the seen and, perhaps more significantly, all of the unseen ways they looked after my relative with tenderness, warmth and compassion.
The staff really became a second family for my relative, and I genuinely feel the same way; respect and love are what I feel for them - they are a truly exceptional team, and no superlative is wasted on them. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart; they are extraordinary and wonderful human beings.
The staff (except for one lady) were lovely and very kind as far as they were able. Very short staffed - only three carers for 19-people! Unfortunately, because of carers having to care for a lot of the residents who were bedridden and whom many had Alzheimer's, they had little time to take care of my husband - not their fault! Food wonderful. Plumbing dreadful.
I love living at St Wilfrid's and enjoy my life there. The staff are very kind and help me where needed.
We were placed in a difficult distressing position by existing home care providers who showed no compassion or understanding. Fortunately, I had been in contact with the manager at St Wilfrid's Priory over the previous few months. At very short, we have been able to move my mother into the Priory for a month of respite care whilst we reassess her situation. The manager has provided support and assistance when we most needed it.
My visits to see him was always conducted in a safe manner, and all staff I encountered were cheerful and helpful to me to ensure that our meetings derived maximum benefit to all parties.
My sister moved to St Wilfrid's in May after spending some time in hospital. I myself have not yet had the opportunity to visit her there, but what she says it is a very nice home. She has received a very nice reception from the staff and has only praise for the staff and the surroundings. Me and my family here in Sweden are very grateful and happy that she has come to such a nice place as St Wilfrid's.
All staff have been approachable, helpful and responsive whenever I’ve met them or needed to contact the home. My parents speak highly of the care they are receiving. Although the building is not best suited to be a care home it does enable the creation of a homely setting that is a long way from the institutional atmosphere that can exist in some larger, purpose built, homes.
All right, friendly. Food good. Nurses excellent, Feel good and safe.
