Lorraine joined St Wilfrid’s as Home Manager on March 24.

Lorraine has worked in the care industry for over 28 years, starting as a carer and working her way through the ranks to Home Manager.

Lorraine has completed her NVQ levels 2, 3, 4, and 5.

She says, ‘I like to make people happy and wanted to create a home-from-home experience in all my roles. I find my job role very rewarding being able to make such a positive difference to the lives of others. I pride myself on treating others no differently from how I would treat my own family.

Outside of work, Lorraine loves spending time with her family, walking and swimming. Read less

My name is Debbie, and I am the Administrator for St Wilfrid’s, and I’ve been here for almost 3 years now!

Prior to working for OSJCT, I worked as a Community Carer for 3 years, but due to decreasing physical health, I needed to find something that could combine my passion for caring in some capacity with a less physical role, and behold, the Administrator role came up

I love meeting and greeting Residents, their families and visitors to our Home and showing off our unique, yet homely, residence. Arundel and the Castle in particular hold a very special place in my heart, stemming back to my childhood Primary School residential trip, many years ago, so it’s absolutely wonderful to be reminded of that experience on a daily basis.

I work part-time due to having 4 children at Home and 3 demanding dogs, and my outside interests include walking, nature, family time and spending time with those I love. Read less

Laura Booker has been with St Wilfrid’s Priory since 2019, starting as a day carer and working her way up.

Laura enjoys working in the surroundings of Arundel Castle and working alongside a caring and fantastic team. Laura finds her job very rewarding and loves to see the smiles on residents' faces and them enjoying themselves.

In her spare time, Laura loves travelling, spending time with friends and family, and being at the beach. Read less

Amanda Scarbrow has been with the Trust and St Wilfrid’s Priory since Oct 2022. She works as a laundry assistant and loves her job because each day is varied. Amanda enjoys chatting with the residents and having a laugh with them. She gets great satisfaction from cleaning and ironing the residents’ clothes and repairing them if needed, and she enjoys being part of a caring team. Read less

Tania Woodburn started her career with St Wilfrid’s Priory four years ago as a night carer. Since then, she has progressed to become a care lead and has been doing that job since 2021. Cecilia is one of our carers at St Wilfrid’s Priory. She has been with the Trust for over 15 years. Ces, as we know her, enjoys the variety that comes with her role and loves seeing the residents happy and smiling, and having fun. Ces has had many job roles over the years, including housekeeper, laundry assistant, and activity coordinator. Ces loves the friendly home-from-home atmosphere at St Wilfrid's. Read less

Louie has been part of the St Wilfrid's team since 2024. Louie began as a Day Carer before moving into his current role as a Night Carer, where Louie continues to provide compassionate, person-centred support to residents.

Louie enjoys the warm, homely atmosphere at St Wilfred's and values the way the home caters to residents with a wide range of individual needs. Louie particularly appreciates the variety of activities organised throughout the year, which bring enjoyment and enrichment to residents' daily lives. Outside of work, Louie loves spending time with her cat and is an avid film enthusiast. She is also a loyal Manchester United supporter. Read less

After leaving school, Jamie began his career by serving in the armed forces for two years. Following this, Jamie trained as a Mechanical Engineer and continued in this profession for 36 years.

Looking for a new direction, Jamie joined the NHS as a Domestic Assistant, where his dedication and hard work quickly saw him promoted to Supervisor.

After five years with the NHS, Jamie joined St Wilfrid’s Priory as a Handy Person. Jamie enjoys his role and feels it provides the perfect balance for both his work and family life. Read less

Lorraine joined St Wilfrid’s Priory in March 2024, having previously worked as a Customer Relations Advisor within two large care homes near Chichester. During this time, Lorraine discovered how much she enjoyed building relationships with residents and being part of their everyday lives.

Living in Arundel, Lorraine wanted to continue supporting people in a more hands-on role, taking the next step into providing care and support for residents with a variety of needs.

Lorraine enjoys working with people and believes that, while some days can be challenging, the role is incredibly rewarding. She takes each day as it comes and strives to bring positivity, humour and kindness to those around her.

Lorraine has a particular interest in dementia care and has taken on the role of Dementia Lead, supporting the team to provide compassionate, person-centred care for residents living with dementia. Read less

Radia joined St Wilfrid’s Priory after moving from Morocco in 1994. She began her career as a Kitchen Assistant before progressing to the role of Chef at a local nunnery, where she worked for 12 years.

Radia then joined St Wilfrid’s Priory as Chef, bringing her passion for cooking and supporting others to the team. Over the years, she has taken on many different roles, turning her hand to cleaning, caring and cooking to support the home wherever needed.

In 2014, Radia was honoured to receive a coveted award, nominated by her peers in recognition of her dedication and commitment.

Having been part of the St Wilfrid’s Priory family for 20 years, Radia considers the home much more than just a workplace and feels a strong sense of belonging within the team and community. Read less

For Ola, being a carer is more than just a job; it’s a calling. Ola is passionate about supporting older adults, including those living with dementia and autism, as well as providing compassionate end-of-life care.

Ola finds great fulfilment in making a positive difference to people’s lives, ensuring every resident is treated with dignity, respect and kindness. Ola is committed to supporting residents to make their own choices and helping them live with as much comfort and independence as possible.

Jackie joined The Order of St John Care Trust in June 2023. Before joining St Wilfrid’s Priory, she was a foster parent for 10 years, following a 30-year career as a Civil Servant.

Living locally, Jackie enjoys walking, reading, swimming, eating out and spending time socialising with family and friends. Describing herself as "59 going on 22", she brings a fun-loving and positive outlook to everything she does.

I was born in 1964 at home in my parents’ flat above their butcher's shop in East Preston. A few years later, we moved to Broadwater, where I grew up with my three brothers.

I have always enjoyed keeping active and spending time with family. My hobbies include football, swimming, reading and going on holiday. In my teens, I played football for a local women’s team and was also lucky enough to represent Sussex. I’m a lifelong West Ham supporter! I also love spending time with my grandchildren. My favourite food is Italian, followed closely by ice cream, and I particularly enjoy listening to 80s music.

After leaving school, I started working in greenhouses before spending many years working for The Body Shop. While my children were at school, I became a teaching assistant, which I really enjoyed. I then decided to become a carer, a role I have found incredibly rewarding and continue to enjoy every day. Read less

I’m Nina, and I have worked at St Wilfrid’s Priory since March 2025. I love seeing our residents happy and enjoy creating fun and memorable moments with them. Alanna and I love keeping the residents up to date with the latest music and dance trends, which they find very amusing!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I sometimes go for a run after work, although somehow I often end up at the pub instead! I also love travelling, especially to Thailand, where I’m originally from. Read less

I’m Alanna, and I have worked here since October 2025. I love seeing our residents enjoying themselves every day and creating moments that brighten their day. Nina and I, also known as the “Terrible Twins” by our residents, love singing and dancing with them and bringing plenty of fun and laughter to the home!

Outside of work, I enjoy dancing, running and travelling, especially to Thailand with Nina. I have a big family who I love spending my free time with, and I also enjoy going out and spending time with my friends. Read less

I have worked as an adult carer at OSJCT for 3 years. Before that, I worked in Early Years for 20 years and have also been a Personnel Director and a Chef. The satisfaction I get from working with the residents at St. Wilfrid’s is second to none. We are able to build fantastic relationships with them and have fun at the same time.

I have 1 daughter who has recently given me a beautiful grandson. I also have a Miniature Dachshund called Pepper. I am lucky enough to live on a farm opposite the South Downs, with acres of land to walk on, and then I come to work in the wonderful historic town of Arundel. Read less
