Woodbine Manor is an excellent care home. The staff are all wonderfully supportive of both the residents and their families. The manager's door is always open and she is happy to listen, inform and advise whenever necessary.

The residents are treated with dignity and respect. The facilities are excellent

and there is a lovely warm atmosphere and a welcome for both residents and their families.

I would thoroughly recommend Woodbine Manor to anyone considering residential care.

Honestly speaking, with my experience with other care homes, Woodbine Manor Care Home is the best home I have visited. I will say I am very pleased to have been here. The staff are very friendly, lovely and social. Woodbine Manor is more of a home than a care home. The cleanliness, environment and food
are very excellent in all aspects. In fact, I will say Woodbine Manor Care is a first class care home.

My mother has been to Woodbine Manor on several occasions for respite prior to becoming a permanent resident. I can only praise the excellent all round care my mother receives there.
The staff are pleasant and clearly very caring and supporting in every aspect of their tasks required.

The care received has been extremely good. All staff are excellent - helpful and supportive. My husband is very well cared for and enjoys the food provided.
Most of the food is homemade and is adapted to allow him to eat it. The activities are well run and encouragement is given to participate. The
home is always clean and tidy. Managerial staff are excellent.

My mum moved into Woodbine Manor just over a week ago. We were really worried that she would not settle and be unhappy. I am delighted to say she has settled really well.

The home is spotlessly clean, smells fresh and the staff are lovely.

Both my parents live at Woodbine Manor and I am very pleased with the care and support they receive from all staff.
I visit many times and know my parents are in a safe environment where they are stimulated by activities and fed well by home made food.
My father is near to the end of his time and
the manager and staff have gone out of their way to accommodate his needs so that he may be with my mother to the end.
The manager is honest and approachable to discuss my worries where the hospital failed to tell me the truth.

The care home has been excellent. They have looked after my mother-in-law since 29th June 2016. The care the staff give is also excellent. They are all very caring. They see to all my mother-in-law's needs. My husband and I visit often so can only speak very highly regarding this home. I would recommend
them to anyone.

My husband and I have visited our mother-in-law every few days for the past fortnight. We have always found her alert and engaged in activities on offer. Her room is very neat and tidy and her personal hygiene is well maintained. All staff witnessed were extremely patient with all of the residents and
in the hours we spent in the home we did not hear one raised or abusive voice. Queries were promptly addressed by management and we felt very comfortable saying goodbye and leaving her in such good care.

Woodbine Manor helped my husband to settle down after so many moves my husband had over so many moves with hospitals. He has a fall and broke his hip and as he suffers with Alzheimer's he was so confused but has settled and is so happy. I feel a lot better with my husband being cared for with such lovely
people.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.431)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.431) out of 10 for Woodbine Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.831 for Woodbine Manor is calculated as follows: ( (62 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 71 Ratings = 4.831
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.6 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Woodbine Manor is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 29 registered maximum number of service users is 5.8, which has been reached with 6 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
